Hello welcome back to my channel. My name is, but you can call me una if you're a returning subscriber hello, hello, hello, welcome back today, I'm going to relax my hair. Does this mean that I'm not a natural hair person anymore? Does this mean that I am killing my natural hair brand? Am I scared that people are not going to watch my videos anymore, because I'm not gon na be natural, we'll chat about these after I show you guys the relaxing process, so I'm going to the salon to get my natural hair relaxed. So let us go to the salon and we will chat foreign. Thank you. Thank you, foreign, my best friend, so enjoy them. As I talk to you about why I relaxed my hair, so you will see really much of a difference. You I feel, like you, were, expecting that my hair would be flat and silky, but that's not the type of relaxer I did or relaxing process. I did so. Let me jump into why I relax my hair. So, a couple of months ago I was a hair model for this other company. They wanted a natural hair models for their hair, coloring training and styling training. So this styling included a lot of heat. Okay, and I mean they - they blow dried, my hair right. They didn't relax it though they just washed. They blow dried, my hair, and then they straightened my hair after straightening, my hair. Then they curled it. You know so that's like three layers of heat, but they did include a head protectant serum after that. I realized that my hair was not like the texture was very brittle and I had a lot of split ends. My hair was like very dry most of the time it wasn't retaining moisture. You know so I was like you see. This is why you shouldn't add. So much heat to your natural hair and if you do it, do it like really really really really really really really properly. You know, but I mean going in, there was like he pretended serum and some other heat protected syrup, just like layers and layers of heat. Protecting silver, but you can only go so far to protect your hair from heat. You know at at times just catches on to that heat yeah. I wasn't happy with my hair texture, and I know that I was supposed to do a treatment which was either gon na, retain the texture of my hair or was going to make my hair retain moisture or absorb moisture more. There are so many treatments under the natural hair umbrella, so uh I was like you know what let me just relax my hair, so I went to relax my hair, so I used hair glow, which is not really a relaxer, it's more like a hair texturizer. So what a hair texturizer is a chemical product that makes hair less curly and is supposed to make it more manageable. That'S on the product, uh packaging. You saw that it makes the hair more manageable, so the hair texturizer is is used by people with textured hair. Who are you know, don't want to relax their hair, but want to loosen their curls without totally straight it or people who are looking for like easier ways to manipulate their hair? I was so I was like you know. What let me just do this. I was very scared because I was like what, if they relaxer like, really damages my hair, but it really didn't. As you can see, my hair is still natural, okay, in a sense of like there's a lot of volume. That'S how I know my Essential. It'S still natural, even though some natural hair police out there would be like no, it's not natural, because you relax your hair, but that wasn't really relaxer. It was like a hair texturizer, you know. So, as you can see, it's very straightened because, after after relaxing it I blow dried it, so it is, it is fluffier, it's more fluffier. The curls are not that much it's actually the curls are are less like they they're straightened. I I'm happy. I'M happy that I relaxed my hair. Oh I texturized my hair with the the afro hair relaxer. I feel like there's not really much of a difference. You know I feel like my hair's, always in the state, but this time it's more fluffier. It'S more looser. The clothes are more looser, so I would like to know from you: will you ever relax your natural hair or if you have relaxed your natural? How did you feel? How was that process a horror or success outcome? You know, but I feel like this one was a success outcome because uh my hair is not so brittle, it's not like breaking. I don't like. I cut my split ends at the salon. After relaxing my hair, I've been saying I wan na go. I want to let you go but uh. Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to subscribe and like and comment. Let'S, let's talk about this. You know. Let'S talk about this, if you are judging me, please let me know in the comments say: oh now, what did you just do? Don'T do that? Let'S, let's talk, you know and I will see you on the next video. Thank you so much for watching Nadia.

Tshepo Imani: Hey Ona, your hair is still beautiful.❤ Well, I have chemically processed my hair before and it was horrible It was in the very early years of my natural hair journey and I felt like using ' step one' blowout relaxer, as per my mother's advice that they used it back in the day to soften their afro, I had expected to still have fluffy but softer curls. But I think my hair was over processed and ended becoming straighter than I had anticipated. But that was not the horrible part,my hair started to fall off my scalp.Mind you,I already have fine strands and medium density but by the time I had relaxed my hair I was like a stray kitten that had been rained on. The adjustment from having fairly full head of hair to a few nyana straight and flat hair made me swear from that day onwards that I am never ever going to chemically alter my texture no matter what.
