Stop Shampooing Your Ends! #Washday #Hairhacks #Shorts

Stop shampooing your ends. Shampoo is made to clean the scalp, not the ends of our hair. Our ends are the most fragile part of our hair. A massaging shampoo there can be to stripping and cause breakage shampoo will naturally travel through your ends when you rinse to remove buildup

gemma waters: I'm not sure what qualifications John has ! But my current and previous hairdresser told me the exact same. Tried and tested, I can confirm leaving the shampoo to travel down when rinsing out works a treat for my dry ends. Great advice Xx

hairhunger: Wonderful hair wash !!!!! Many more please !!!!!

J: Depending on how much silicone your products have you may need to go over your ends quickly with shampoo

Vera Wilders: Also not once in a while to clarify?

westernmc: what if you have short bob hair? not everyone has long hair

John Carvajal Arenas: Hi, again, Abbey! So, this is like saying "soap will naturally travel down your body and will clean your feet as it goes down the drain". Doesn't that sound just nasty? Don't you need to actually get in there and clean your feet "manually"? Well, same goes for hair, all of it! Also, "shampoo is made only for the scalp" is false. Though it is extremely important to cleanse your scalp, the majority of the product buildup is not there, you don't apply stylers to your scalp, you apply all products on the strands (that includes the ends) so the strands should most definitely be cleansed thoroughly. If they look rough or weak or feel gross is precisely because they haven't been properly cleansed.
