Hi mal paws and new pals. Today'S video is all about my curly hair routine. Now i know that i have done several curly hair videos like when i really tried hard to be a part of the curly girl, hair community, my god it was terrifying, and i don't know the curly girl method is like a religion. So we're not doing that here today we use heat. Today we use hair products, i don't know they probably have silicone in them. You know which actually helps seal the hair cuticle and smooth your hair and protect it from heat. But you know, god forbid, we do what we want here, make sure that you are washing and conditioning your hair before trying these next steps with your favorite, shampoo and conditioner that just works for your curly hair. Today i used the carista pearl manifesto hairline, i'm going to take you through how i apply my hair products when my hair is wet, how i dry my hair and how i finish my style all right. I just got out of the shower and lost a bunch. More hair, pretty cool i like to start with really really really damp: hair, not wet hair but really damp hair, and i already have some dry spots. I go in with water that i put in a hairdresser's, invisible oil bottle and use that last little bit. It makes it a little bit of a leave-in conditioner, but the majority of its water, but for those of you, who've been following me for a very long time. You know that this kind of gets thick at the bottom and it's really hard to get the rest out. So i just like to add water and uh create a little bit of a watered-down leave-in conditioner with it, and it's great for curly, hair days, a hair product that i like to use on wash day for my curly hair is the caristas curl manifesto jelly curl Contour i like this because it's pretty lightweight and my hair is even thinner and finer than it was a week ago. I like to take this about a pump and a half. Pretty much. Does it for all of my hair and because my hair is so fine and thin right? Now i like to scrunch this in, i know some people recommend applying like a gel cream contour and just like combing it through all of your hair. But my hair is so thin right now that if i do that it just kind of pulls the curl out of my hair okay, now i'm going to go ahead and do some finger curls in the front just to kind of help this along and all you Do is twist little sections and just scrunch them back into place. Do not separate your finger curls until your hair is like almost dry. If you do - and you have finer hair, it'll kind of stretch, the curl out too much also this underneath part, especially since losing so much hair, this kind of will need a little extra help doing finger curls. It takes a little bit to get used to it's easy to kind of knot up the hair. If you go too fast or you grab too much. So if you feel like the sections, you're grabbing might be a little too thick go ahead and split it in half, and i find that that helps really uh prevent the tingling or the knotting. And i like to start twisting right at the scalp and just twist twist twist scrunch back into place. Now is a step where i will either go. Do a household chore or apply the rest of my makeup. Let my hair air dry as much as possible and then i'm going to show you tips and tricks to polish off your curls. That will help your curls last a few more days and they may have, if you didn't, do these next steps. Now that my hair is almost completely dry, but not quite i like to take my dyson dryer, you do not have to have a dyson to do this. Just get your blow dryer and get an attachment that fits your blow dryer. Get you a good diffuser attachment. This is life-changing, i start on low heat and i keep it on low heat for the majority of the time, and i also keep it on medium-ish airflow for most of the time and i like to make sure that my hair is completely dry before i any Other type of styling, because i don't want to fry my hair - i don't want to have like surprise, wet sections of my hair when i go to use my curling wand. That is not ideal. So, that's why i like to let my hair air dry, the majority of the way just to make sure everything is nice and dry and won't be damaged when i go to curl it so right at the very end, i turn my blow dryer down to completely Cold and then i also use the cold blast button and i seal everything off with cold air and low air flow just to seal. The cuticles help maintain the shine and finish drying my hair on absolute cold, cold, cold, cold air. I finished diffusing my hair now that step is not for everyone. Sometimes the front of my hair can be super curly and like that's, where it curls the most and the back will be kind of a little more frizzy straight today. The front is just like not giving me much, so i did a real about this little hot tool that i purchased and that i freaking love. Ever since i tried it, it's the ghd curve, it's the really thin barrel. I love this for touching up my curls. So, as you can see, this part is just she's not doing well today. So that's okay! She can have a little help. I'M just gon na wrap her around and i like to do it a little looser since my curls have a little bit of a looser pattern, so i don't want it to be any more curly than the rest of my hair. I just want it to look like that section had the best curl day of its life, so by twisting it a little larger around the barrel, you're gon na get that pattern. Now you can curl it tighter and get an even curlier curl pattern. If you want, i just like to go through and see like she did. Okay, she did not give her some help and i like to hold the sections on the barrel for just a few seconds, not too long, because then the curl can be a little too perfect. You can use any small barrel, curling iron, that you may have you. Don'T have to have this hot tool, the ghd curve. I know it's pricey, i get a lot of use out of it. It doesn't damage your hair as much as some. There are some perks to paying more for a hot tool, especially another reason why i like to diffuse my hair is so my hair can be completely dry when i get to this step. I don't have time to wait four weeks to let my hair air dry to do something like this. That touch up like this. That'S why i've always been pro heat, my curls, because i'm sorry, i don't have the time i do not have the time. Okay. Now i just like to separate these just a little bit. You know just so they're not like complete ringlets, and they go a little more with my curl pattern. The last step i like to do is take the caristas curl manifesto refresh absolute. This has ceramides manuka honey. This is the second day curl refresher, but if i end up doing the hot tool step, i like to finish with this, but this is also great for refreshing, your curls, the next day or even throughout the day. It really works. It just kind of wakes your curls up and then, if you do a step like this, it kind of helps everything meld together. So it doesn't look like you have a separate curl from your natural curls. So that is all i do to get my natural curls to be looking their best. I know i use very minimal product because that's i have to because i have very minimal hair now. If you have thicker hair, you might want to go in with a finishing oil or something like that to seal the cuticle. If i did that, my hair would fall completely limp right now, you guys enjoyed this updated version of my curly hair routine. I really feel like it's simple, quick and it gets me out the door. I do not have time for a crazy, curly, hair routine and i honestly don't know how anybody does so. I hope these tips were helpful. Try out these products. Let me know if you do try them, because i feel like out of all these years of having curly hair my whole life, the caristas curl manifesto line is my absolute favorite. Thank you so much for watching, and i will see you in the next one. Bye

Emma Jane: As a curly girl myself who doesn’t follow the cgm I appreciate such a real routine! Before I got into caring for my hair I joined a few of those curly girl fb pages and groups… my god it was so scary your curls are gorgeous btw ❤️

Charlie Anne: Ugh I just love your curls I use whatever products work for me, curly girl method be damned I do a very very similar method to you, especially since I've been suffering with medication & illness induced hair loss. I've found a lot of popular techniques weigh it down too much so I found my own way!

Anna Bankester: Perfect timing! I just started embracing my curls/waves. I'm a fan of the bumble and bumble light curl line.

faeriecrypt: What beautiful hair! Thank you for sharing this routine. My hair is SO much thinner now; I don’t know if age is the culprit or what. I wish I could just wake up and not have to fool with it. I will have to try your routine and incorporate your tips.

SephoraBelle: It's a lot of fun having the ability to go straight or go curly. Nice to change it up. Both look gorgeous on you Mallory.

Glam Girl Gabi: I can't do the CGM either girl....it is just TOO much for me. I LOVED this video. I do the EXACT same thing with a tiny wand. We are hair twins!

Jumping Gak Flash: Your natural hair is so similar to mine in texture and curl pattern! I also have the same issue with random sections of hair just not wanting to curl at times. I haven't tried curling them, but I found that a protein treatment works really well in bringing curl back! I use Aphogee and I get it from Sally Beauty Supply. Stuff smells terrible but it gives awesome results.

Jenn Leah: I tried CGM about 4 yrs ago, despite never straightening my hair & knowing how to keep my curls under control... I saw all these amazing before & afters & wondered what it could do for me! Within 6 months, I went from curly to slightly wavy hair, my scalp was getting these gross scabs, & I began shedding. like a LOT. So I said screw that! One thing I'm grateful for is that I learned a LOT about ingredients & formulas, & turns out I'm pretty fascinated by the chemistry behind it! My hair loves silicone but actually doesn't do well with heavy butters & heavy oils & NO waxes! But that's what my experimentation taught me about MY curls. Anyone trying to sell a one size fits all curl routine is doing exactly that - trying to SELL $$$ Everyone's hair is different, there's no such thing as a universally "bad" ingredient. Everytime I see someone in the comments section of a video where the creator used silicone , starting a huge lecture about "no but silicone actually IS bad for you, you should NEVER use them" I want to smack my phone. Thanks Lorena Massey (inventor/author of the CGM & "curly girl handbook") Her infomercial is scary. it's from back in the day, but if anyone wants to be freaked out, try to find it

Shaunell MacGloan: Ps- it’s really great to see you I’ve been out of the beauty loop for some time. So I’m happy you came through my IG feed earlier. Mad love and respect

Linda Konkiewicz: Your curly hair looks absolutely gorgeous!

Chihiro33333: Thank you for an honest video and a great routine! I agree with you that Kerastase Curl Manifesto is the BEST!! Big time! However, I just can’t stand that vanilla fragrance. - I just can’t! And my boyfriend can’t! So I had to leave it, and have not found anything as good to replace it with. So congratulations to you and all others who like it / don’t mind. I really, really envy you!

Tammy Stiletto: I feel like the CGM was meant to help us out, to really give us answers as to how we can get the very best out of our hair- if we choose! Not for us to bully each other around with! People online are SO mean about curly hair, and most hate that I’ve gotten is from people with straight hair. Wth. I’m so very thankful to have hair at all, and I’m thankful if my hair curls one day or decides to just wave. That’s what I’ve got and I’m happy to have it. I don’t need anyone gate keeping and gaslighting me about the texture of my hair.

Maya: I have the same hair as you and been wanting to try the kerastase curl product so now I’m definitely going to, it looks really cute

Gisela Vargas: My hair is thin too and i can't add too much product either! It's so hard for me to find products that work on my hair. Typically I try to find smoothing products because I feel like that tames the frizz and makes the waves / curls want to form. I also just use whatever products work for me. And yes that might mean silicone too!

Dee -: Perfect timing for my wash dayyyyyy

Helen S: Your hair is so pretty!! I love it this way!!!!

charliefoxx81: I have the same hair - mine is a little longer than yours but the curls are never the same throughout so thanks for the tips! Any suggestions on how to get the top of my head near my scalp to not frizz? maybe I'm just being picky but I hate when I use the curly hair products the top 2 inches of my hair from my root just looks messy...

Dawn Nash: Hi Mallory, I'm new to your channel... My hair is fine /wavy so when I wash it, it gets like 'matted' on the ends...I leave the conditioner on a few minutes to take out tangles but still a problem.. Could you recommend a good conditioner that will provide 'slip' and a pre- treatment before you shampoo?

HollyAnn: You're so lucky you can wear it both ways! So cute!

Gia Pressare: Holy ! Someone else who has to use a curling iron on sections! Thank you for the tutorial!

skylilly1: Love the curly hair!

ImAMajesticSeaHorse: The curly girl method lost me when they said you shouldn't brush your hair. As someone who develops rats nests...its a no from me.

Blessed Homeschool Mess: You’ve encouraged me to try product on my wavy hair again I tried the curly method and it wasn’t for me I need my heat for days I want a sleek look I don’t always want my hair curly! Plus time consuming! But! I do want to try now to dig my diffuser back out and use some product now that my hair is about your length to see if I can spring some life into my waves!

Amy T: We have very very similar hair, I will try this, thanks!

Brandy October: My hair hated the curly girl method and all the silicone free products can’t wait to try this. I have fine curly thin hair

strawberry blonde: Looks great!!

Emilia: You have the prettiest curls! ❤

Judy Mastrullo: Somehow I like curly hair on everyone, except ME! If I do go the curly hair route, after sleeping on it it turns into a gigantic mess. Sometimes it's easier to straighten, as it stays pretty straight as long as it doesn't get wet from humidity or sweating in hot climates. I can only look at myself curly for a day before I can't stand it another minute. Alot of people think it's easier to leave the hair curly, but I don't. If I straighten my hair I don't have to wash it again for 3 to 5 days as my hair is pretty thick. If its curly it's a daily routine, which is too time consuming. Thanks for the curly hair tips anyway. Love your videos contents...

Deanna Hockenberry: Loving your hair this darker shade of blonde. Rocks those girls.

Maria Resendiz: I also was trying to do the curly hair method but it didn't work for me. One of my problems is that I lost a lot of hair which is one of the reasons I don't have my curls as before plus I have very thin hair. I do use a lot less products now and guess what my curls started coming out again. its still not as before but definitely you don't need all the things they advertise. I have a shampoo/conditioner, oil, curly gel, and a bonding hair mask. most importantly take collagen. The curly hair method is not necessary. I also don't spend a lot of money on products. and love the Denman brush!!

Teresa Malone: I love your hair curly. Really suits you

Pituca Things: Yeah tbe cgm is craaazy i also use a hairdryer in mine. You should check out the AG care curl definer. Soo good for fine hair. Your hair is so pretty great video

Stevie Ray: So CUTE! Both curl and color girl

Laurie Bieda: You look adorable with curls girl

Pauline Owens: I love it!

संजू डीडवाना: Mam plz make a info vdo on "Miradry" effects on your body after three years...plz it's our humble request

Christopher Bruintjies: Mall I love you in curls you know that I love it❤️❤️✨️

Andi Naudzunas: Mine is simple wash and condition proudect air dry

Sally Nieves: Didn’t realize you had curls! You and manes by mell should collaborate you pick her make up routine she picks your hair

Dale Bullock: What are the strongest available home peels please since we need to be licensed to purchase Bioskin TCA for example?

Anna L: I’m a curly girl who loves silicones.

Sarah Schouveller: Wait, your hair is naturally like this?? Dang!

Yatharth Vlog: ❤️❤️❤️
