Alex Gatto: The level of dampness you need in your hair is really going to depend on your hair type, like how resistant/damaged/porous it is. I have extremely smooth, non-porous, virgin hair that I never use heat on (not damaged at all) and if I do a dry heatless style it will hold for about 10 minutes, max. I can only get results that last 2-3 days if my hair is towel-dried (aka still pretty wet). If you try this dry and the results are disappointing add some moisture! Just be sure to leave LOTS of time for drying.
