Add Volume To Freshly Relaxed/Flat Ironed Hair

Nobody likes straight hair that is flat and lifeless and its hard to avoid the "flat hair look" when you've just relaxed and/or flat ironed your hair. Here's my method to keeping my hair straight with volume and body!

Hi this we have any - I Flatiron my hair today and wore it completely straight and while that's great wonderful fabulous, I know me, I know for a fact that if I go to sleep tonight and wrap my hair up flat completely, then I'm going to feel like It'S lifeless and I'm not gon na, be happy with it tomorrow. So here's a way if you have fine hair, whatever whatever roll wrapped here and it's flat, and you need to add some body like to it. You don't have to pick up your curling iron and sometimes you know you don't want curl. You just want body. You still watch for hair, which is volume and body and and life breathe into your hair. So here's what I do. I think I thought all the time when my hair was shorter, like around neck length and then I gotten away from it. So I have my mirror over here. I just changed up my lighting, because somebody said that all my videos are too dark, so hopefully this a little bit lighter, but because of that I have don't have a mirror situation quite right. Okay, so bear with me anyway. What you're going to do is basically take like part, a circle of hair in your head: okay, okay, now once you have your hair parted in the middle you're, just going to pull the the center pork portion up enough, I fit this already, but my hair has Already been washed dried and sealed with no surprise behind, be luscious, so, basically right now, I'm just checking to make sure that I don't want to change this or whatever it's pretty good. So you can see that it's just basically the perimeter of the hair, that's down! So I'm going to take and kind of clip the sides down so that I don't get them caught up in what I'm about to do. None of this has to be perfect. Okay, now that we have our side clips in our middle separated out you're, going to take your center section and basically we're going to dry Roller, set it okay. So I'm just going to take a area of my hair and you can use your fingers even like I'm doing you don't have to use the UM combs and basically you're going to take it comb. It straight up is if you're going to roll it. Okay and you can use any size, you want I'm using the purple sighs. I don't know what the diameter is I'll have across the screen, but basically I'm just doing that and I am going to try to smoothly set my hair on this roller now. The one good thing about doing your hair dry like this is you don't have to worry about it being perfect and not having the sides come off and all that kind of stuff, because really you're just doing it just to add some volume and body to your Hair, so it's okay, I don't know if you can see it, but I would never say I had this because the section is too wide, but really you're just doing it, like, I said to add body to add volume, and all of that. So the important thing is, though, that you want to comb your hair straight up, because you want all the rollers to be concentrated in the center of your head, and I will show you why shortly okay, so you got your centerr all together and you can do It neater, if you want it's, not really necessary, I'm going to go ahead and put like a little bit of a head hairnet on just to hold the hair into place. Okay, so now that I have on my hair up towards the top, like you know, held into place on rollers, what I'm going to do is take the sides and you can cross wrap if you're good. At that I tried it like twice and both times it was disastrous. So I'm just going to do a traditional wrap around my hair and don't make fun of me for being blind. Okay, because I cannot see actually it doesn't work. I can't keep it um, I'm just going to go ahead and wrap the sides of my hair, the traditional way and I Flatiron my hair. So it's not gon na quite wrap. You know quite as nicely as I would wanted to until I put my scarf on. Ok, so I have my sides wrapped. I had to put some clips in to hold up the side, but I'll take them out like, as I put my scarf on it, you know, holds my hair into place, but I'm going to then put my scarf on my bonnet head to bed and, what's great About this is I'll be able to sleep just fine on the side. I won't have any comfortability with the rollers being up here, but it's going to add lots of body to the top and my hair - and you know my hair - is freshly relaxed and I Flatiron normally. That would be a flat helmet hair disaster for me, but because I did this, then tomorrow I'm gon na have nice little. Oh, we still keep blowing in the wind D with fan Wendy Williams type hair. So I see you guys in the morning to show you the result good morning taking off my scarf and everything. So you can see where I was wrapped around the side and, like I said this is so comfortable to sweep in, like you, don't even feel the rollers at the top and going to take these down. You can see how I have the lift up there, but it's still straight and you can use whatever size, we'll learn like what for your hair. I just went with the purple side. Sometimes I go with I'm gon na go with the red all over, but that's when I want a little bit more a little bit more of a curl. This the purple and the grey are really really good for just some lift and body. When I'm not really looking for curl okay, I should probably pick up my glasses again. Don'T make fun of me, because I can't see if you see me squint, so you can see the difference between like the top and the sides. As far as how you know much lift and volume in head, okay, I really can't see but look at how that's like not completely straight. It'S like to me. It'S you know perfect, it's not flat. It'S not. You know curled it straight, but it just has so much more volume and style and shape than if I had just um. If I had just flat-backed my hair all together like it, would just not have this in the middle and yeah. I think it looks so much better okay, so here we go so this is just how I add a little bit more body and avoid that incredibly flat look, I know. Sometimes, if you just relax your hair, I'm only one one week, post relaxer and we've got our on top of that, instead of roller setting, which is healthy for your hair. You know you can end up with that. Just flat lifeless, looking hair, but just adding a few rollers in the middle doesn't disturb your sleep and just avoid that whole. Like lifeless look, so you can see that I have lots of bodies in my hair without using heat, or you know having to crawl my hair anymore, so yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this. Thank you. So much for watching check me out of longing for links. Calm - and I will see you another video - take care stay blessed, bye. You
