How And Why To Wear A Wig Cap

Hi, ladies, It's Lee from Woman In Disguise and today we're going to talk about wig caps.. So first, why do we wear a wig cap? Wig cap really is all about function. One. It helps make sure that we keep our hair up and concealed unless we want to pull some out which we'll talk about in a different video.. It also allows us to get a really nice smooth. You know shape with no lumps and bumps that can be seen through our wig and also it really gives a nice. You know grip to the wig, and some people have shinier silkier hair that can be more slippery, and so a wig cap can really help. You know keep the wig in place and now for someone like me, I do both with a wig cap and without the wig cap, and it depends on some of that how my hair feels. But it's short, so I really don't need to use a wig cap to conceal it.. I don't need a wig cap to really keep it smooth because there's not enough to make lumps and bumps so. Ultimately, it's really your choice.. So I usually wear my wigs without a wig cap but, like I said it's um, it's a choice, but if you have longer hair, it's really a necessity.. So let's talk about how we wear the wig cap., It's really pretty basic and remember. This is about form and not about looking good, so it's not the pretty part of the process.. So what you do is I call it. The ski cap look you're, really just gon na set it on the top of your head and don't worry about getting the front hairline right. That'S the last thing we do and really at this point once you just kind of get it on your head. You start to do what I call the tuck method and you just start to tuck your hair up and into the wig cap, and with that you start to get it all concealed and up there, and what you'll notice is that it can actually hold a lot Of hair - and you can get some lumps and bumps and to get that lump and bump out, I do something called kind of a little head massage. It actually feels really good you just kind of take your fingertips and go around in circles, and it'll really start to smooth out that hair. To give you a really smooth surface. Now. The last thing we do is worry about the front hairline, and what we want to do is just pull that if you have bangs it'll grab those bangs as you pull it back, but pull back the wig cap just to in back of your hairline, and that Allows you to make sure that if you have a lace front or whatever that you don't have your wig cap peeking through your wig. And there you go., You have your wig cap and it's really that easy. And then you take your hair and I'll. Just throw this one on and voila you have the look. You have your wig cap on and it's nice and secure and there you go. Now remember you can subscribe to the channel..
