How To Make Glitter Hair Bows

Hi, I'm Jenna Sackett with Stahls'.. Today we're going to be talking about how to make stunning glitter hair bow, how to market them and how to grow your sales by adding them to your business. Everybody's, always selling apparel. But what will make you stand out by offering something different, such as glitter hair bows. Today I'll be teaching you how to do that.? Okay, so we're going to need three-inch grosgrain ribbon for the spirit bow in 30 inches your Glitter Flake™, that's already cut to size.. We have our 3/8 grosgrain ribbon that we'll be using to tie the center, the bow., Our hair clips and hair ties.. We have our craft wire scissors lighter and glue gun with extra glue sticks.. So what we'll start off with first is heat pressing, the ribbon. Okay. So we're going to start heat applying the three-inch grosgrain ribbon that we will be doing the two color design on. Grab the first color that you plan on using.. You want to try to line that up as much as possible. 15 seconds at 320.. We have our first color of the ribbon. Done. Grab our second color.. You want to try to get that as close as possible to the other color that we just heat, applied. You'll want to grab your cover sheet and heat apply the second color. Okay. Now that everything is heat applied, we can go back over to the table and start making the bows. So we're going to want to cut our ages first so that we can get rid of the fraying. We have here.. So again, I'm going to do this spike.. Some people just two diagonal straight across or just a straight line across as well., So you're going to take your lighter again and at put it at the end so that we're reducing any fraying. Okay. So we're going to make sure that your design is facing downward and we're going to cross this over into an X. Okay. So we're going to take the top of this and the bottom and scrunch them together. We're going to take our wire and tie this center. Down. Now some people don't like to use the wire.You can always just use thread.. You just want to play with it a little bit to try to get the look. You want. So now we're going to take our center ribbon and and hot glue it down the center.. So now we're going to attach the hair tie that we have here with this spirit, wear bow. Mostly they are going to put it in a ponytail. So you want to make sure you're going to use a hair tie for this one so that they can wrap it around.. So we're going to put some more hot glue down in the center. In the back of the bow.. We'Re just going to trim this up. A little bit. Put a little more hot glue down and attach the rest of the ribbon and then do the same. With the other side, the ribbon. Put some hot glue. Down. Push it through the center of the hair tie and apply some pressure until you think. It'S dry., You can always trim up afterwards as well, and that is our two color spirit wear bow.. So now that I just showed you how to you, do the processes we're going to go over some price points and how you can and get them selling at your business.? So we're going to start with the spirit, wear bow.! You can see this sold anywhere between $ 15 to $ 25, depending on size.. Some people prefer bigger, smaller three inch, two inch., The bigger, obviously the more you can sell it for and how much glitter or the design that you use on the bow.. So I see a lot of people with the spirit. Wear bow they'll be doing as some packaging with it. So they'll make a bow to match a t-shirt or a bag and be able to sell in like a package.. A lot of people will do it. For occasions like birthdays or seasonal, such as holidays., So if you have a little girl, that's turning 3 she's going to want a big bow on her hair.. It'S really popular and you can make it for those occasions..
