I also apologise for my irregular uploading over the last month. I had two people close to me pass away, and have been in a weird place. I'm trying my hardest to sort out everything out, and not bring it to public places, so its been tough to film.

The 7 videos I had pre-filmed and edited were lost due to the fact my computer decided to throw a tantrum, and delete every file, and of course, I hadn't done a back up in over a month.

Yes, I know, EXCUSES EXCUSES.

I am aware that Bats 'roost' rather than nest, however, I wanted to play on the 'Birds nest' hair style, as this somewhat emulates that, without the teasing.

Hey everyone: today's video is going to be a hair tutorial, and this tutorial is what I commonly refer to as my golf mum hair and a lot of guys really really wanted me to make a tutorial out of this now, I'm not professional hairstylist. Nor do I proclaim to be good at hair, but I know a lot of you guys really wanted the tutorial, so I'm going to be doing it for you guys today. I have filmed this already three times and I just keep getting the focusing all wrong. So I'm hoping that this one finally works. So if you want to know how I achieve that hairstyle and just keep watching and I'll show you how to do it. The first thing I do is make sure that my hair is tangle free. So I brush it and then I also put some dry shampoo through. That is because I only really wear this hairstyle when my hair is messy and it needs to be washed, but I just don't have the time or it's just not hair washing day. So the next thing I will do is separate out a section from the front about this big and that's on both sides, and I just toss the rest of my hair back behind my shoulders and my ears are super red at the moment because I got sunburned. So I will then drag the rest of that hair and I'll put that into a high bun right on top of my hair and yes, my hair is super frizzy. I think those of you who have naturally curly hair and straighten it regularly would understand how any moisture in the air can be the worst enemy. So I will then tie this off into a bun on top of my head. So now that that's tied up into a bun, I just kind of tighten it by pulling it like that, and while it doesn't look as full as I normally have it, I will show you a trick in a moment that really helps to keep it up. On top of your head and into like a big basket II, kind of look without having to tease your hair, because I just don't like to tease my hair. So before I move on, I will just slowly pull out little strands of hair. Just because I really like that, look or just yeah, it's disheveled, but it's beautiful, so the next step is to take a claw clip like this one. It'S not that long, it's kind of a short one. I got this with the curling set many many years ago, but I put this inside the bun to keep it on top of my head, nice and high, and also looking very full. So I will put that inside the bun underneath like that to help it stay up and kind of looks creepy right now. But then I drape the rest of my hair over it, and sometimes it takes a couple fiddles to make sure that it's really got that heavy end and it's really wasting everything up. But once you get it right, it looks perfectly fine. So I kind of just continue to play with this until I'm happy. So the last thing that I do - and this is entirely optional, because sometimes I do like the look of the chunkiness at the front. I just scoop up some of the hair and clip it back a little bit so from here you can add whatever you want into your hair, you can add, like a little. Sometimes I put a little bat bow up here or something down the side, just whatever you want, but this is the basic gist of the hairstyle. So my hair is down to my bottom and it's really hard to find up styles to get the hair off the neck, and all of that that can handle the weight of my hair while being different than just a basic braid. So I hope you enjoyed this hair tutorial, I'm sorry, I kind of suck at them. Don'T forget to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already, because I'd love to hear for every single video, like this video feel like the hairstyle comment up with something you would like to see on this channel. Also, if you decide to recreate this hairstyle, don't forget to tag me on Instagram, because I'd love to see your recreations and if you all have a fantabulous day.

Nosferotika - LUBBYH: I loved this, i'll try to do it on myself, i don't think that would work though, because i don't have that much hair hahahaha but i loved it! And also, i'm so sorry for all that you're going through but we all have our struggles, so allow yourself to get through them as long as you wish, but remember: what doesn't kill you always makes you better and stronger! I hope you have a fantabulous day (got it?) <3

Sam Esparza: This hairstyle totally reminds me of something Amy Lee would have wore!

LadyConqueress: I would LOVE to see more hair tutorials like this from you! It's so hard to find gothy updo hairstyles. I hate having my hair down, as it gets in the way too much

Anna Kate Thompson: A goth hair tutorial without teasing! What a rarity! As a fellow long hair who prefers not to tease, I super appreciate this. I plan to give it a go in the next few days. (: Also, your tutorial itself was fine, and I watch a lot of hair vids. XP

Valley: I might wear this look for prom

Laura L: I really liked this tutorial. My hair is really long and I love those kind of buns but I have never thought about using that kind of clip! Before watching your video I even thought about cutting my hair hahaha :3 what a relief!

dekko 1312: omg I've never heard someone call this "goth mom" hair before! so cute. my best friend's mom is goth and she wore her hair like this all the time when we were kids. she still does sometimes.

Cancelled Beans: I've never been to your channel before, but I gotta say, the way you did the purple around your eyes is so cool! It makes you look very otherworldly. Also, I hope things are going better for you now than they were when this video was uploaded. It's by no means easy to recover from experiences like that. It's overwhelming and hard to process. Much luck to you.

Camilla Jensen: This is so beautiful, and so are you, I will have to try it on my own hair!<3 And I am so sorry to hear about your loss, stay strong!<3

Rachel de Nugent: Thank you for posting this (I am so happy it worked this time around!)! It's so hard to find hairstyles that I can do with such long and stalk-straight hair, and I think this one will be a lovely way to switch up my look from time to time! Sending lots of love to you in your time of grief. I hope that you are able to find your center again soon. <3

Forbidden Angel: I did this in public with my usual goth makeup and people kept staring at me and when I opened the door for strangers and stuff they would be like "Does your mother approve of that look?" And in my mind I'm saying 'No I have to hide this all the time because she totally doesn't see it even though she's right behind me,' in a sarcastic voice lol Sorry for your loss, hun. Hope things get better and take as long as you need!

E: I am so sorry, but I still waited for this tutorial and I am so happy you got it up even after everything!  It is a great example of pushing through in times of struggle, and that is what makes us even stronger.  I love this and I am sending positivity your way, hope things smooth out a bit for you. You are looking great,  and the hair is perfect for me and someone who loves that kind of disheveled look!

CosmicFox Beauty: I'm not goth, but I absolutely love this hair style. I normally have my hair up all of the time and was in dire need of something different and this did the trick. ^_^

brain worms: i love this tutorial! i loved the look and it worked for me even with medium length hair! can’t wait to do it when i have it longer, thank you! love your videos

lady MoonMoth: I love so much the idea! pretty simple but marvelously beautiful! I do this almost every day at my job <3

DiplomatPhantomPupper: I've not mastered this, but it's so awesome! I've not known what to do with my hair in forever and this is the first time I really felt happy about it in a while!

Yemanya22: I absolutely LOVE that hairstyle! It is super easy and looks so great! Thank you so much, you are great!

Natasza Rosowiecka: My hair is similar length to yours and this hairstyle looks amazing! Thank you so much for this tutorial

J S E: i finally found a tutorial for this hairstyle. My hair is super long (below the butt) and it's hard to find a tutorial that doesn't tease the hair to get volume of some sort. I don't like teasing my hair or putting on hairspray too. Thank you so much gorgeous ❤ a new sub and I've been binge watching your videos now ❤

Psychara: hair? more like silk, omygod

Aimee Turner: Omg thank you for posting this. I have hair to my knees that is thick and curly I can't wait to try this out

Sonia Ramos Wu: You are so beautiful, I love how your makeup looks. Thanks for the advice. I will definitely try this seeing that I myself do have super frizzy curly hair and have to straighten it out every so toenails.

Chris: Love it! I use to do this style when I had long hair.

maddie thomas: This is SO helpful I do this hairstyle almost every day now. Thank you Queen

Mechanical Mushroom: Love you, ReeRee. You are such a sweet lady and so genuine. Its been wonderful getting to know you on Instagram and watching your inspiring tutorials. Felony Fey: Simple and gorgeous, can't wait to try it in the hot weather!

Ekaterina Gaidadim: Thank you so much for that tutorial! extremely heplful yet simple. Even such a clumsy preson as me can do it half-sleeping when getting ready to work =).

Lorelei606: awesome! as a fellow loooong haired goth i feel your pain. its either braids, loose or ponytails. Keep on sharing more hair tuts, i'd love to see how you deal with your long locks. xox

eternallyinchrist: I’m gunna do this look for my wedding love it!!

Cancelled Beans: I'm so excited to try this! It seems like it'd also work very well for thin, fine, flat hair that seems impossible to make tidy. I have such shit hair, and it'd really boost my confidence to have a daily hairstyle that works for it (with no teasing or heat styling!!). Hope you're doing at least a little better now. Grief feels so impossible to overcome.

Amy: I loved the idea! It's simple and looks great!

Golly G: I used to do this to my hair all the time, but I forgot about it.  It looks great on you, ur so0o pretty! <3 I hope your spirits can be lifted soon.

Cam1417-TK: Such a cool yet cute hairstyle ^^ love it.

TheOrangeOne: Your hair looks so beautifully soft!

MissMadhat: Long hair issues! My hair is about the same length as yours and I have a hard time doing something nice with my hair without spending an hour or more on it (two young children), but this looks like a great option! Thank you for posting this despite you current issues.

Gruftengelchen: This is a beautiful an easy look. I hope i can wear it. My hair is long, but thin and not so much. I will try it tomorrow for a concert. Thank you for sharing it :-*

Karman Jeanne Kruschke: THANK YOU- This may be the perfect solution for my Halloween hair. I’ll be wearing a neck corset with vampire make up. Well done

Gaelira Gwaelon: Thank you so much for this tutorial, cause I was thinking of asking you how do you make this amazing hair style, I love it :) I hope you'll feel better very soon. Hugs from G&A team!

Jessica Sprouse: Still my favorite look, i wear this all the time

Camille Garcia: Very cute! Could you do a tutorial on this makeup look?

Baylee Adams: I think I just binge watched about 10 of your videos, love your style and you have such a charming aura about you! Can't wait to see more of your videos!

Keira Cross: I'm quite new to your channel and I'd just like to say my hair is the same length and this was very nice to find. I'm not one that's fantastic at different hair styles either as well so this helps

ElectroFuzz: Thank you for sharing. My hair is waist length too and this is much more comfortable than a braid or ponytail.

OracLune: My heart is with you, ReeRee. Take the time you need; we'll still be here! Very good tutorial, by the way!

Christy: can confirm this looks amazing on curly hair

Lorelai H.: As I 99% wear just my hair down, this is super cool, I just tried it and it looks great, defo gonna wear it, thanks!

Patrick SilverRose: I think I'll give this a try, although my hair might not be long enough, but I'll do it anyways! And gurl I feel you on the straightened hair vs humidity. Where I live it's a constant battle to have your hair look nice on humid days.

Lilly Ángel Negro: ¡woow! me encantó!!! ❤

Alchemist's Fire: I wish I'd found this last year before I chopped my long hair off! Next time I grow it out, I'm definitely going to practice this =D

Talia Bloodina: Such a beautiful hairstyle, I need to try. Also I am sorry for your loss <3.

Maartje van der Woude: Can you please do more hair tutorials??? My hair is about the same length as yours and like you said, it's really difficult finding (gothy) hairstyles that keep your hair out of your neck/face, which I find especially necessary in summer

Claire Trippett: You don't suck at these videos at all. I cant wait to try this as I love hair styles like this but like you I don't like to tease my hair as I do bleach it & so try to keep damage to a minimum :) xx

Kalin Ybarra: If i ever had the patience to grow my hair long like yours I would be so happy. you're so gorgeous

Pey Guise: I love love love this makeup look!!!

Marie Lament: Love this!!! I will definitely be doing this soon

Solvita: Such a lovely hairstyle.

MoonFlowerFaerie: Love it . Thanks for the tutorial honey

BattyRagDoll: Hey ReeRee! Thank you so much for doing this tutorial!! I love this look on you and was hoping there was a tutorial. I'm so glad I found it! 8D

Gillian Gill: Ree Ree, you are so very gorgeous! The hair style looks fabulous, and your make is to die for! It breaks my heart (that's a bit dramatic! ) but as I'm getting older I've had to tone down my make up style. I can't get away with outlandish makeup like I used to. I'm 46 years old, and if I was to wear a make up style like yours I find it makes me older looking then I am. I still wear very pale foundation, and black liquid eye liner, etc, etc - but I find I can't get away with styles that I used to wear. Also, I don't dye my hair black anymore, because as I'm getting older the black is too harsh against my face. I dyed my hair a dark red for a while, but now I've dyed it a darkest brown. Getting old sucks, because I still feel young in my head, but get a fright when I look in a mirror. LOL! Although, otherwise life is really good. I'm really enjoying my 40's to the full! But, when I see this video I realise how much I miss my old make up style - but it just doesn't look good on me anymore. So all you young ladies & gentleman, enjoy your youthful good looks while you have them. But, *most* importantly enjoy your life no matter how you look, because *happiness* and *health* is everything! I love your channel Ree Ree! Keep doing everything you're doing!

Christine A: Pulled this hairstyle off tonight for a twitch date with my friend. It was a success! Thank you for sharing!

YOTO TEE: Awesome tutorial! I'm so sorry about your loss, ReeRee.

Minx Stole: I just started the video but am immediately soo happy that she has Mozart playing!! Normally beauty tutorials are accompanied by some of the worst, soulless, most deplorable audio excrement that the human ear has ever had the misfortune of encountering, but obviously that is not so here! So kudos to you, milady, kudos to you!!! ❤️

Billie Punk: Absolutely gorgeous and amazingly beautiful, the makeup and this hairstyle looks absolutely perfect. Can you please prove a link to the makeup that you've wore in this tutorial please? I love the shades that you use and I want to know what the gothic foundation that you use.

Yedim Dezero: I still use this hairstyle almost every day <3

Anahi Loetz: I love it that its tease-free, i hate teasing it and unteasing it, I also am not fond of using curlers and irons, (I keep burning myself!) So basically I would do a half updo or a basic ponytail. But this is wonderful! Thank you

Merrida100: Of course I like your hair, and also Black Friday's, and of course, you both have such luxurious and super thick hair!  You're so lucky!!  My hair is so sparse and thin.  I've sort of given up on it and just scoop it up in a messy bun.  Love your hair!

LunaFaye Beauty: I had bats fly into my hair when I was a kid on a field trip. I really like this hair style, and your makeup is gorgeous as always! I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending love your way.

saragog: One simple request please do more updos for long hair!! I find it difficult too!

Melody Waters: So Incredibly sorry for your losses and your computer trouble . Sometimes when it rains it pours ! Sending lots of good Vibes your way and ty so much for this hair tutorial !

Jordan Davis: I have very thick shoulder length hair and this is by far the best way to wear a bun and still keep the goth look

ReeRee Phillips: Please read the description. Its important for you guys to know why I have been acting a bit differently, and why it looks like I've just bawled my eyes out.

KJ419: I am totally changing my mom bun into this!

Joanna Pypłacz: This is great! :) My hair is similar to yours, so I will follow your advice :)

Amour Annette: Totally recreating this! ^_^ Also, I'm so sorry about your losses! Hang in there, love **hugs**

Amanda Hart: I love this so much! I used this tutorial for a dark ice fairy look I did. I'll tag you on instagram. Can you tell me where that shirt is from??

Lolli Corpse: thats cute and nice! ill have to do this! my hair is about as long as yours. the only way i can get that bump normally is back coming and i hate doing that to my hair.

L: omg finally a tutorial that doesn’t require hairspray

juicebox: I have shoulder length hair and this ACTUALLY WORKED WITH MY HAIR. I'm in shock

Tatiana Valdezuela: This hairstyle is the only reason I'm growing mine out again

Half-Pint 79: Just discovered your channel, your hair is that of a goddess

Amy-Beth Taylor: Beautiful❤stay the strong woman you are, everything will be sorted out and happy in the end. And by the way, you're gorgeous. Always

Vampire Girl: I'm going to grow my hair out long just to do this hairstyle.

Carlie Flowers: The moisture comment sent me back to 2008 when I was your typical emo/scene girl. Reminded me of the CONSTANT struggle of having natural curly hair and trying to keep it straight while living in the rainiest state in the US. This place is sooo naturally "goth" but it is not friendly for those of us who sometimes want straight hair

Karyn Huber: Absolutely gorgeous!!!!

ghost puffs: Thank you! I suck at figuring out what to do with my hair. This helps

Häxan: Perfection achieved

Foxiepaws ACAnderson: Oh that's lovely. .I used to backcomb my hair and you can obviously achieve this look without all the teasing. ..wish I knew this in the late 70's early 80's My hair would have been healthier. ..mind you There was a lot of bleaching and using Crazy Colours back then and there was the huge Mohawk which was pink and blonde (its strange but this sort of ombre thing seems to have become really popular whereas I got looked at as if I had two heads lol!

Miriam W.: sorry about your loss! i love your videos and hope you stay well xx

IzzyArt 666: Pretty good hair tutorial. I really like the style

Yakkis MD: Beautiful! ^_^ Seems worth to try it out.

Rem: This is soo beautiful, and much simpler than other tutorials. And I'm so sorry for your losses, my heart is with you. You should take your time, people will understand. I hope your soul heal faster. Sending you lots of love and hugs ♥ PS: I hope I wrote correctly in English.

Gabi Eisinger: I really hope things get better for you soon. Hang in there! By the way, I love this lipstick colour - what is it?

Creepy Kitty: This look is so pretty

Arson: I have curly hair and when I straighten it it’s kinda fuzzy so it doesn’t look good down but doing this looks really well
