How To: Flat Iron Your Wig!

So, let's jump right into it, guys I'm going to spray this unit with Chi flat iron spray, which is a heat protectant. This unit is four bundles of dainty dream, hair Malaysian straight with a matching closure, which is a three part closure. I bleach the nuts after making this unit, and I washed it of course - and this is what it looks like. So what we're going to do here today is we are going to flat on this sucker bone straight because, even though it's straight hair, as you can see, once air dried, you know there's a little wave to it. So what we're going to do is section off the hair and clip it off, and if you would like a video on how I made this wig just leave a comment down below, and you know thumbs up this video and I will make one so after I Have sectioned off the hair and no flipped it off I'm just going to well, I have to make sure it's all sectioned off, so I'm just going to comb through it with a tail comb and I'm going to start sectioning sectioning it off to flat iron. It. I'M using a flat iron that I got from Burlington Coat Factory. It is a cheap flat iron. It cost me like 40 bucks and it is bomb. So I'm just going to place the comb above I mean under the Flatiron and chase it down and as you can see after one pass the hair straight, so I will not be you know over doing it with the heat on this unit. So I'm just going to continue this process around sectioning it off placing the calm, then putting the Flatiron on top of it and chasing the comb down with the Flatiron to get the hair bone straight, and I only intend to do one pass on each section because Again, you know there is a such thing as heat damage, even though it's you know your virgin, hair, wefts, so yeah. So I'm just making sure that each new section that I take, I don't leave any ran the wavy hair in between, because I want this to be an even straight look and I'm just going to chase the Flatiron down as I go. Alright, most of the hair and as you can see, there is a major difference in how it looks and it's flowy it has bounce. The luster is amazing, so I'm just going to work my way up and what I'm doing right now is separating the track. That is married with the closure, because I want to Flatiron the closure all on its own. Please party, my appearance I am in mourning and I just decided to record a video because you know I couldn't stay home and wallow forever. So here we go. I'M going to, of course, you chase the column down with the flat iron. One pass is all you need one pass and, as you can see, there is a difference between the hair. That'S been flat ironed and the hair did add just as it's haired air dried. So yeah one pass and we're just going to straighten this out, see all right so now that I have all the hair or the wefted hair straightened, I'm going to start working on the closure and I'm going to take little sections and just flat iron. It straight - and here I may do more than one pass if I don't get all the hair on the plate of the flat iron, which is what you see here and I'm flat ironing it in the direction that I intend to part it. This is going out as a middle part, so I'm going to flat iron it as such, and let's just look at this luster for a little bit, though I mean pretty nice, so yeah and you know you see the little flyaways I'm going to let you know How to fix that shortly and again, I'm just sectioning off the hair in small pieces and repeating the whole chase through there. So here I am just you know finishing up the flat ironing process. I think this is one of the three parts. As you can see, it's parted down the middle and the notch of leach, so the part is a pretty cool and again there are some flyaways and I'm going to show you how to combat that. But again, I'm just doing one pass and if I like mix miss a section I'll just go back and do it - and this is the last piece right here and then we're going to do with these flyaways, which is pretty easy to tame so right here. I'M just going to use cheese, silk infusion and I'm just going to put some on my hand and go over the top of this unit, whipping the flyaways weren't that bad to need for me to cut them. So I'm just going to click that all throughout the hair. It'S not going to weigh it down. It'S still going to have movement, and it's just going to also increase the luster. So I'm just going to go through and calm out and brush all the hair into place. As you can see, this hair is calm.
