Bri Hall:

https://www.youtube.com/SmartistaBeaut...

I look good with short hair y'all. I think so. I think I'm over here. What'S up all right, what's good YouTube, it is Bri here aka for the oh jeez. You guys dumped me a smart Easter beauty. Actually, I have a challenge. I want you guys to do here on my channel today now, if you are an OG og subscriber. I want you to comment below in the comment section right now before you. It'S not the video, Oh G sub, but if you're new to the game, if you new to the channel, I want you to comment below new crew and for all my oh jeez. I want you guys to get to the new crew people and welcome them to the channel cuz. You know I really just like when everybody on my channel interacts. I love singing guys, be a community because you're all here in support of me or just looking for this tutorial, but still I like having that that group dynamics so well. Today'S video, as FST by the title, is a video on how I can slay a $ 30 beauty supply store week, 30 to 50 range. Okay, some people who are you serving expensive wings might be like breathe. Why would you want to slay a $ 30 wig? Here'S the reason a lot of my followers - I know you guys - are in high school or you're in college or you're working full-time and the average range for weave slash, wigs all that stuff. Just the hair alone can be around 350 to 600 dollars, depending on what you're getting if you're, getting it made into a wig that being extra 250 and up people can be spending around $ 1,000. Just to have a wig custom made with like good quality hair and then on top of that they might be spending anywhere from 50 to 300 dollars just to have it installed. Not everybody has between 400 to 1300 $ 2000 to be put into that weave. Okay, like we're not all on that level right so for my people that this might be beneficial to all right. This is my girl, Ari she's blue. You feel me, as you can see, I already started playing around we're trying to make baby hairs, even though I already started stuff, I'm gon na explain from top to bottom how I'm going to slay this wig that one grab look out orange blue girl. Some of this, this is something called the bald cap and or stocking cap method. This is when you take a pair of stockings or sheer tight or just a nude wig cap, and you put it on your head and you pull it down to your forehead line, and then you take some of this got to be free. Spray now y'all know me with these ingredients and stuff, like that, I did my eco style video. The ingredients are here, I'm just gon na be honest, they're terrible but, like I said, if you're using it for a rare occasion like slaying, the wigs or installing something or like an event yourself, that's fine. I would suggest searching bald cap method or stocking cap method on YouTube, because there are hundreds of tutorials, I'm gon na link some in the description box. If you're lazy like me, sometimes you don't want to even go search like breezes. Give me the teeth. If you don't want to do this method, you could always just slap on a regular wig cap, the regular way, one if you're, using a frontal, which this is not a frontal at all. This is a regular closure in today's case, if you're wearing a colorful way again. This is also, if you're not doing. Of course, I think the beauty community we can do better at paying homage to these techniques. The ballcap method was frequently used in Hollywood to create these special effects. Makeup swear. These artists will transform actors and actresses into these crazy cool characters, but it's also utilized in drag often to make wigs sit and look very, very realistic. A big problem with synthetic wigs is our crazy-looking lace, so all the hairs at the base of the wig are tied to the wig with these black knots. So you might hear a lot of weight videos where people talk about bleaching or knots, and all that does is make it look like a popular technique. Now is ticking Sally Hansen airbrush legs. The reason why people use this is because it is waterproof and now this techniques going viral, so I wanted to pay homage to the original person, and this is their channel right here. I'Ve tried this a couple times and I realized that this is so messy like. I tried to honor my wigs and I ended up having to shampoo it out. A lot of tutorials will just show people spring the inside of their wig, like this. Don'T do that. I'M warning y'all now do not do that. It goes through the lace because the spray is powerful and it's a hot mess. It gets all on the roots of the hair. So no, what we're going to do is something a little bit less messy and a lot easier. I got this little clear bowl right here from the kitchen, and I'm going to do is shake this up and just spray. Some in this bowl I mean y'all - might think this is worth about honestly. Sleighing takes work brush and I'm going to go inside the bowl and I'm just going to literally lightly just tap the Sally Hansen on there, and this is a lot less messy because you have so much more control. I think the idea of spraying it onto the wig is a little bit more micki like it just looks cool but y'all, I'm telling you you don't want that life. I tried it was awful just about finished and you mainly want to just put it towards the front of the wig where you'll be wearing it, especially on these edges and, of course, multiple wigs are set up very differently, but any part where predominantly you want your Weight to look like your scalp, that's where you're gon na paint this on and make sure if you're customizing a wig. You have a little bit of time, especially for the stocking cap method like y'all people on YouTube. I feel like they make things, look easy, which is good because it makes you want to try it, but sometimes they're, not realistic about like the timing and how much time some of this stuff actually takes. Like the stocking cap method, it takes about 10 to 15 minutes for me to do that. So you know what I mean. You got ta plan ahead and if there are any pieces that are a little messy or anything, you can of course clean those up. Okay, so now the fun part we're going to take off our cap and we're gon na slap this on okay girl and you want to make sure that you're Sally Hansen is pretty much dry by the time you are putting your weight on boom. Oh we're right! Y'All, you never want to just throw away going and we're done look at this alright. So the next thing I want to show you guys was a very popular and still it's a really popular method on YouTube and just in the social media world it doesn't depend on the person, because I know that some people say they didn't like you. Some people said they think oh wait, grooms. They literally make a huge difference for me, especially if I'm wearing a wig without a wig cap. But I think the problem is a lot of people trying to put through a group like up here in the very front and I'm like it's not supposed to go that far up. But that's that's the main thing. So I'd like to put it like a little bit kind of back here through and then you want to also some people's problem is they feel like it? Doesn'T let their weight lay flat, but I also believe that since they're popular there's a lot of knockoffs and these and there's a lot of like terrible ones, I got this person in my beauty supply store, but you want to get a one. That'S really really! Now. What this does is it keeps your weight from sliding around now. The next thing you might want to do is go back in with your free spring. The weight group works well enough for me, but just for demonstration purposes, some people use the guts to be glued. You know gel, but it's really thick, and this works just fine by itself. Honestly, y'all just give it time another popular method: I'm not gon na personally stand behind or recommend this method, but I know a lot of people who love it and use it just because I feel like a lot of people also aren't in the know about removal. It is like a lace bond or a daily hold. This one is lace, bond lace, wig bond salon, Pro 30 second daily hold glue, and this is good if you're going to be wearing your wig for several days or more than a week. These are really really really good, but I highly suggest move your research before you use stuff like this, because they're powerful KLA, if you put that on your wig with this with the way group, your wigs, not going nowhere. Okay, you got to decide where you want to place your way now. For me, you got to pull it forward and I want to place it right. You see where the weight cap is. I want to place it like right around there and it should feel really secure when you place it, because it's in the right place and see the free spray is already starting to hold some of my hairs. This is the initial look of the wig right y'all and of course I haven't brushed it out with stuff like that yet and like right here and I tweeze the part just a little bit because it was like super thin and it looked like not real. I might actually go into the front area and do a couple more pieces. Okay and I'll show you why this makes a big difference. Okay, now some people get scared, but this this is a synthetic wig. So it's got a thick lace, so you hold at the root. I have this little piece of hair wrapped out on my finger that okay boom and that just came out and as you can see in the front that made a huge difference with the part. So if you notice that your part needs to look more scalp like then you might want to do that now next day. We'Re gon na do, of course, is brush this wig out. Come there, you want to see what we're working with now. I have worn this week before, but aren't completely unfounded. I let it get ratty and stuff, so you guys can kind of see the process all right. Some of the time lets me detangling the wig. It'S not gon na take more than three minutes for you. Okay, so now you're starting to see a little bit of what we're working with with this way, just with the free spray and the we grip, I'm moving the hair on and it's not like. Look it's not moving. So that's good for people that don't you know what I mean I like sowing my wigs, but that's not always necessary, like this color. I know I'm not wearing for a really long time. So I'm going to take this clip and clip this hair back. Okay and now then, we've cooked our hair back. Yes, this wig has layers to so I'm gon na make sure I clip it well we're gon na work on this hairline. Now I already started working on these baby hairs. They haven't done a whole lot to them. Yet you'll see what we can do all right. Let me I'm gon na grab. My babysitting right now see what we can pull up all right, this one's way too big yeah this way, okay and for baby. Here'S you want to cut at the angle that you want the hair to go. Let'S talk about this one and go in this directions, I'm going to cut diagonally. Basically this way and be very careful cutting, but you could also cut up work. Is I'm right-handed, so this makes no sense yeah and I think the hairline is one of the biggest things that's made of reeds with synthetic, wigs and stuff like that. Another huge thing is actually creating space on the hair. So, as you can see right here, I already plucked a little bit so once you pull your baby hairs down, what you want to do is actually plug. You know I mean around now for this week this tracks right here, because it's synthetic, so this was all the plucking I can do, but it's okay, since I'm doing the middle part, the hair is gon na fall like right. Here anyway, you know be like breathe. Why you leave miss the straight? This looks great, but it's got ta get real who's a little better y'all, I'm telling you for synthetic wigs. The only thing that works for me literally, the only thing that works for me is local day Gloria. Okay, because the hairs on these are not human, so they're like fibers, are a little bit tough and they're part of the lay down. So this is the purple one, the sport one, so I'm just going to put a little bit of that actually right. For me, this is the all I use my mobile de guarulhos for is like hairs like this. Alright, this is gon na be a little bit of a process you might have to yeah we're gon na have to trim some of these out of here. I so I just unwrapped everything and now I'm going to rush through it in there, because you know synthetic hair, you got ta brush through it and what I did was I did take a flat iron and I went to the roots and I just like turn. It on its side and laid it down, be careful to do what I just did cuz. I touched my forehead a little bit. We'Ve all been there since it was on the bottle, a side part. This is a bit one size a bit longer. So I'm going to actually go in and cut one side and we're coming close to the finish line to cut them. So I'm gon na cut this one right about here and I'm going to go to diagonal angle, cool and then I'm going to come here. For this one and again since I'm right handed, my diagnol is coming at it this way - and there are some curls in here that I feel are kind of unnecessary, like this one is just a loose wave, so I'm gon na go in off-camera with my flat Iron, a little bit and just mold and shape any areas like like this that are just out of place and I'll be right back, alright guys. So this is my end result as you can see that I kind of natural-looking apartment that the hairline. I took a lot of the UM, the curl out with my flat iron, highly recommend spraying a little bit of hairspray in your hands or in your brush like this and just go through the room area. So you don't have as many flyaways with there and you can really brush and mold the hair. The way you wanted to do this. The final result, my last tip, is: I didn't, have this particular problem with this unit, but a lot of synthetic wigs. What gives them away is the shine because they're super cosplay and shiny, so you can see dryer sheets and I've seen some people even use baby powder. But I think dryer sheets is a better method and you can literally stick the dryer sheets through the holes of your brush or just use them with your bare hands and run it through your wig to remove some of the shine alright. So the hope this helps on my back to school peeps. My working gives my people on a budget or my people that wear a little bit of both like me that, like synthetic wigs, sometimes here and there and human hair wigs other times just depends on the day and what I'm going for. And if you're lazy - and you don't want to do any of these tips except for maybe the weak grip - you can literally just put her rig on with a hat which, when I was in college this was this was the whole look. This was the literal aesthetic for college because you can get away with so much where I'm just oh, we gon na hat. However, if you want to rock it alright, thank you so much for watching my channel and my next video is gon na be a storytime. Finally, because you guys have been requesting it so much since my last and first story time I ever did, which was the time that I play the players. So if you haven't seen that go watch that now it's a really funny story. All my stories are a hundred percent true. I would like to note that so I guess give me some topics that you guys would like. You can entice old college relationships whatever you want, and I will literally do my next storytime on stories that I have from that time period or in that topic, so comment that below as well love you guys so much. C: New subbie! I've NEVER seen such a well put together video! So much hope

gmlaster: Love the tutorial. Liked and subbed. But seriously Sis, there’s no point to doing all that work on the knots to make a blue wig look realistic. Everybody pretty much knows hair isn’t naturally blue. But I love that you went there with it.

Trish Raniszewska: Woohoo NEW CREW! Yes you should totally try short hair cuz you have a PERFECT face! Thank you for the warning about the spray warning with the Sally Hansen's. I love your style and just the way you present everything you say in the video. Very informative! I'm not new to wigs, but am new to lace fronts. So I'm not used to gluing anything down, but getting there! I myself just like wigs cuz I get bored with my style & hair color. So spending even $100 on a wig for me personally, well makes it really NOT FUN anymore! The whole reason is to have fun so I've been buying $40 wigs on Amazon and they're a LOT better than I could ever imagine. I totally would reccomend some of them to anyone who knows how to customize cuz if you don't, don't waste your time. To anyone really new to lace fronts, these videos on YouTube made all the difference! Honestly that looks amazing! For no heat you did an amazing job and the blue looks so hot on you!

- 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 -: This color is pretty. I wear and review so many synthetic wigs on my channel so I can relate to some of the things you mentioned. Baby hairs piss me off sometimes too. Plucking the hairline is key

Tyy Berry: new to the crew. love the video. you are very detailed and realistic.

Lilcutenurse: Solve the video sis , newbee, very informative— I noticed you actually took the time to research methods, if you were wondering where the bald cap method originated, it’s from a few videos I posted 8 years ago while trying to make my wigs stay in place for 2 weeks. The video is baaad lol but someone got the point
