Hey you guys welcome back to my channel welcome. If you are new, it is girl, goldie naps, and in today's video i will be showing you how to do four of my favorite curly hair styles. So if you'd like to see that, then please stick around. I made a real a little while back uh about hairstyles that i like to do when my hair is like in this shape, uh, because when my hair was grown out and longer, i was not able to do these hairstyles um and the video kind of went Viral and i kept getting a bunch of requests to do uh videos on all the hairstyles, so i just thought why not do one full youtube video showing you how to do them because they are super simple, really easy, um but really cute? And i think anybody can do them, so i'm gon na show you all real quick in this video how to do all four of them. So today we will be going over the puff with a bang. Uh we'll also be doing the fro hawk, we'll be doing uh two puffs like double puffs, and we will be doing a regular high puff. So, let's get into it all right so for the puff of the bang, literally, all you're gon na need is an elastic. I personally like to use these like big elastics, because they snap a lot less easy than the really tiny ones that works better. If you have thick hair in my opinion and all you're going to do is separate your bangs from the rest of your hair. If your hair is um shaped like mine, uh with layers and bangs, then obviously that's really easy, but i have seen people do this hairstyle um by creating like faux bangs with bobby pins. So that is also an option. You could also use gel and water if you wanted the style to be more sleek, but personally i like how it looks better when my curls are more defined, so i tend to do it on like day one or two of my hair and because i do It so early during the week i would like to be able to have my hair revert back and once you start putting gel it's like kind of difficult to get your hair back to the shape that you want it. So i just um. I don't do that. So that it's easy for me to like refresh my hair and get it back into my fro all right once you've got the elastic on all you're gon na do is kind of go ahead and start shaping the puff um so that it blends with the bangs. So you get your desired look and i'm looking at my mirror here. That'S why i'm looking over here um if there are pieces that you think look ugly just you know tuck them in the back, but really you're just trying to get it to blend. I'M also going to grab my pick to help me out and then once you kind of have it looking how you want it to look like that is literally it like. Oh, i like how that looks. I'M tuck it back here um, but that is the gist of it and i'm fine with this, like i look good, i look cute and that took us all of like two minutes. That'S literally all that i do so we're gon na go ahead and move on to the next hairstyle. Okay. So now we're gon na take this bad boy down. Oh, let's not rip our hair out all right and, as you can see, it's super easy to revert back to my fro when i take that down, because it did not use any gel um now for the fro hawk, which i also do not use, hair gel Or anything because i prefer how it looks when my curls are more defined um. So for that you literally just need like a bunch of elastics. I do four different sections and put them into ponytails and that creates the illusion of a mohawk. So once you have all of your elastics in for all your ponytails, i did four but the fourth one is really just a little tiny one that holds my bangs together. So really three big ponytails um. Then you kind of just fluff it out until you get the shape that you want, and if your hair is shorter than mine um. I would definitely recommend using bobby pins, just lining your hair, like basically lifting your hair to the frohawk shape and then lining bobby pins down the sides of your hair, and that will create the same illusion. It'S obviously a lot easier to do that if your hair shorter than mine instead of the ponytails, but if your hair is around the same length as mine, then this technique also works all right, i'm going to go ahead and take this down again, it's relatively easy To revert back to my fro with this hairstyle, obviously, the roots are a little more stretched out with this one. So i'd have to like spray, some water and maybe add in some product to refresh any like stretched out curls, but overall, like the shape of my hair is still intact, which is not the case when we start adding water and gel. But this next style, which is the two puffs, will have to require that so for the two puffs, what we will need is a rat tail comb, a spray bottle with some water girl be sure that you get your continuous spray bottle, because that little squirty squirt Bs does not, you know, be working out. Okay, that's just tiring. Your finger will get tired. So just do yourself, a favor get yourself a continuous spray bottle. Uh you're gon na need a hard bristle brush. This is my personal favorite brush of all time um. I will link it in the description box below, but i use it for literally every updo that i do never lets me down. Uh you'll need two thick elastic bands, um and finally, my holy grail, olive oil, eco styler gel. If you are new to the natural hair game, all eco styler gels are not created equal. Okay, everybody has to go through that trial and error process where they figure out, which one works best for them. I'Ve tried a bunch of them literally only the olive oil. One gives me the hole that i want like every other one. Like my, i get fly aways my hair starts frizzing up it's a hot mess, but this one never lets me down girl. So let's get straight into this, the concept of the hairstyle is super easy. You just part it down the middle. Put your hair up into two puffs: let's go all right, so we've parted our hair down the middle, and while we are working on this section, you can kind of just loosely put the other section up. You'Re going to spray. Your roots with some water grab, your gel now grab your bristle brush, harvest brush and just brush at your roots. Once your roots are laying down, you can go ahead and grab one of your elastics and then go ahead and secure. It also just going to add a little bit of extra gel to my ease. I'M not gon na. Do anything fancy with my edges, but if i don't like apply the gel specifically in that area uh my hair starts to act up, so i'm just gon na give them a little swoop, nothing crazy and then i'm gon na go ahead and work on the other Side, all right so after completing the other puff. This is the finished look, and i really like how this is looking right now. I especially like how it looks with my makeup today: uh we're stepping up our makeup game 2021. If y'all haven't noticed, if y'all um follow me on instagram, you know that go ahead and follow me on instagram girl, uh, so yeah um. This is looking really cute. So now we're gon na move on to our last hairstyle, which is the high puff i'm looking at my mirror like more closely. I do not think that the part is in the middle of my head, i'm like the worst parter of all time. I cannot part at all and don't even get me started on the back of my head, because i really just you know what let y'all tell me what it looks like: okay, um anyways from the front um. We look good besides the fact that our part is like little lopsided uh, but we're not gon na talk about that. We'Re gon na take this down and we're gon na move on to doing our high puff. Okay, so mind your business, mind your business bam as you can see um because we used our gel in our water, our wash and go's, not coming back. Okay, she's um dead and gone she's gone forever until we restyle her hair, the curls they're no longer intact. Anyways our hair is down and because we just did the two puffs like it's going to be really easy to just go straight into the high puff. Usually it's a whole like struggle um to brush your hair um when it's coming straight from like a wash and go because my hair is it's super thick um and it just requires a lot of arm strength to get it to lay flat, but doing the two Puffs definitely helped us out, so i'm just gon na smooth everything out and i do have um a longer video on my instagram and igtv of how i slick my hair down going straight from a fro uh. But i did it specifically uh for when i install a ponytail, but it's really the same concept uh. So if you guys want to check that out, if you want like a detailed video of how i slick my hair up or down straight from a fro, then go check that out. But for now we're just going to go from here. I'M going to add a little more gel. I hate when, like i'm putting gel in my hair and like trying to do a style, that's supposed to look really sleek and then my hair just starts like getting wavy like. Why are you doing that? Why are you doing that just behave behave and now that our hair is as sleek as i'm gon na make it, because my arms are getting tired, we're gon na put on our jesus christ? Natural hair is not for the weak. This is not looking how i want it to look whatever i'm just gon na left this out ow. I don't like how this looks. I'M gon na um redo it like. I don't know if it's maybe this. This looks weird to me all right, that's better! Um! You guys probably can't even tell the difference, but it doesn't matter. I know the difference like the this part of my hair was like just laying really weird with that other elastic, so i changed it to make my life easier. Do you just randomly start, like speaking in a british accent, sometimes because i do that um more often than i would like to admit? That'S the gist you just put it up high on your head and then put an elastic band around it. If your hair is shorter than mine, then i would recommend getting not a big elastic but, like you guys, have seen those elastic, headbands um and then actually put the elastic headband around your neck twice and lift it up and slide it up onto your hair um. If you have a twa, it will put it into a fur shape, but since my hair is longer um, that does not give me the desired effect that i want anymore. So now i just use a wide elastic band and wrap it around my puff. Once i get it to the top of my head right, so this is the finished, look for the fourth style, and now that we've gotten all these styles done. That is it for this video. I hope you guys enjoyed it that you like the hairstyles and you try them out. Please like comment and subscribe, and let me know what else you want to see. I will catch you guys in the next one.
