Hi, my name is van Thomas, and I'm here with my very very pretty model Sandra and what we're going to do with Sandra is show how to do a route perm. First, I think it's important to know, there's several reasons why you would do a route perm. Many people get perms and they get them too often and the hair is long and what they do when the hair grows out about that, much. That much is rather than just getting this part. Reaper may reap erm the whole thing every time they get a perm. These ends become more damage more damaged, because at the end now you might be on your 10th perm. So we want to try to show how to perm the hair without perming the ends just the part that needs to be perm to help prevent damage. So what we're going to do is much like a regular program are going to take our end paper, but we're going to take it to the part that needs to be permed, which is, let's say halfway down. The Strand put our roller and roll down. Just the part that needs to be permed and secure the rod now these ends are not going to be parked. What we can do is we can coat them with a conditioner. You can coat them with many things to prevent the perm solution, even if it touches it to do any damage, and we take our next section moderate tension down to the base. We just don't sell a sleeper in tears and paper to it again put our end paper where the virgin hair ends insert the roller roll straight down. Keeping those ends out secure the rod previously permed hair. Is there just like, with any other perm after you put in two rods, put in a pick to keep the bands off the hair and to keep those rods secure, so there's minimal moving we're going to coat that with something whatever you prefer to use. I think even vastly would probably work to keep those ends from getting the perm solution. Now, there's one more way you could do it is to roll it like you would roll a regular perm, but instead of using these type of end papers, you would use like saran wrap and just roll it straight down with all the hair rolled in, but the Hair under the saran wrap won't get permed. Okay, my name is van Thomas. This is my model Sandra showing how to do a route perm. I hope that helps you roll your necks trooper. You

David Stump: This is EXACTLY what I needed and explained SO well!  Thank you so much for the great demo!!

Official Marliz: This was amazing and just like I was taught in beauty school. Thank you

Aria: Thank you! I have roll one of these for class tonight! so helpful

Ren Adam: My only concern is what happens at the precise point that the virgin hair meets the processed hair. Here it would be double processed and weaker, leaving potential for breakage. Is this an issue?

Asha Naraine: great technique... excellent for damaged ends

Patricia Castellano: I didn’t even known there are Root Perm’s !! Thank you, For the Knowledge !!

anointedhands: Great video, never learned this in school

Linda Caldwell: Great!

Mercedes Munoz Lugo:

patyrc76: Now try to do This on afro hair. With this model Is easy breazy, with straight roots. He won’t be able to use the same technique with afro hair.
