This was my go to style especially when I was transitioning out my heat damage. I haven't done this style in a while and I don't know why! So I thought I'd revisit. Finger Coils are great to get great beautiful defined curls. My favorite part is that they last a long time too!

I used Tropic Isle Living to achieve the look. I have always been a fan of their Jamaican Black Castor Oil, so I was so excited to try more of their line.

Hey everyone, I'm going to show you how I got those gorgeous finger: coils using tropic Isle living products. So let's get started so I just rinsed out their Jamaican black, castor oil, shampoo with shea butter and that really crunched my scalp, which I needed after I went. Two weeks, without washing my hair and now I'm going to apply their Jamaican black, castor oil protein conditioner, you guys know me and follow me on Instagram. You know I love a good protein treatment, so I was really excited that I was able to do this one. It has jamaican black, castor oil in it, which promotes hair growth and thickens your hair. It also has mayonnaise in it, which I was very excited because when I usually do my do-it-yourself protein treatment, I always add mayonnaise. So it's really happy this tropic Isle living protein. Conditioner had it in it, so I'm going to apply this room roots to end and detangle it to make sure there's no tangles in it and then I'm going to let this sit in my hair. For about thirty minutes, I'm actually going to sit outside because it's hot enough, but you can also sit under a hairdryer once you're done, you're going to rinse it out and get ready to style, sectioned off my hair just to make styling easier. I need my spray bottle of water, my brush and I'm going to be using their leaving conditioner detangler, I'm going to apply that as a base and then, when I'm ready to finger coil, I'm going to use their coconut black, castor oil hair food, which has coconut Oil, black, castor oil, beeswax, shea butter and more and I'm going to apply that hair food into my hair and then I'll show you how I finger coil it starting an inch from the root I'm going to wrap my hair around my finger and go downwards to The end, so I'm just going to continue doing that to my entire head, so I'm going to start about a half an inch to an inch away from my roots. You can start right at your roots if you don't want any type of puffiness, but I didn't want to start too close and I'm just going to finger coil from my roots to my ends. It takes me about 30 minutes because I am doing small sections. You can do larger sections or smaller sections. It is up to you, but I like doing this size. It gives the look that I want. So I'm going to finish that and then I'm going to let my hair air dry and I'll be back. Now I'm going to be taking the Jamaican black, castor oil, applying that to my hands and then rubbing it in my scalp, which I do about two to three times a week, and then I'm going to use this to help separate my coils. You can stop right here. You do not need to separate, but I do want some volume and some body in this look. So I'm going to be separating a few sections, not all of my hair, just a few sections. Alright, so you see the difference there. Now I'm going to section off my bang area because I'm going to give myself a half up, half down look with a bang. So I just section that part off and then now I'm going to take a small front section of the hair and give myself kind of like a little ponytail up top to add some more volume to the bang. What I love about this style is, it lasts. A long time, if you don't separate the coils too much, this can last you up to two weeks. This style usually lasts me about a week and a half to two weeks. If I don't separate too much, which I love - and there is the final look, I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did make sure you check out tropic Isle living comm, I'm going to leave all the info and products that I use down In the description box, so thank you for watching and I'll catch you next time.

Michelle Rodgers: I know this video is from a year ago.....but i just learned how to do this on accident and i cannot WAIT for this stage of my hair journey. It’s almost like a protective style....that you can do lots of things to. I have 3c-4a (tigh ringlets to tight coils) throughout and i can achieve this in about 30 min and then leaving three hair for 8-10 hours to dry. It looks like a super defined wash n go, sometimes i have to pin the root with a little clip...love this style wish more people would talk about this as a easy way to keep hair detangled thru out the week.

Zoriley J.: My experience. I searched up how to make my curly hair poofy and finger coiling was one option. I saw this video and thought hm, let me try this method since our hair texture is kindaaaa the same. Yes, it came out exactly like yours but it was ugly I looked like I had doll hair. I had little time to style it because I was leaving for work so I pinned here and there with a bobby pin to make it look decent. But the day afterrr, OMG It's so pretty I took a comb and poofed it a little and it's so cute My hair is big and poofy like I wanted but still curly Thanks for the video This came out amazingg tbh Tip for myself is tho not to poof the hair from the top but from the buttom otherwise itll become too frizzy and I had to coil those part again. Thank you xx

Lesley Murry: I love this look thank you
