Harry Styles Haircut (Harry Styles Inspired Wavy Medium Length Hairstyle)

Adrian wanted a medium length wavy haircut inspired by Harry Styles. Dan found a photo for inspiration of Harry Styles in 2020, and this was the best Harry Styles haircut for Adrian's wavy hair type so they worked to that to give a look reminiscent of the Harry Styles haircut.

#Haircut #HarryStyles #Hairstyle

Alright guys welcome back to the regular gentleman youtube channel at the reagan gentleman studio today. We'Ve got adrian in the chair. How are you mate you're good, good, good man, good good? So what can i do for you? What'S the what's the plan, so i'm looking for something a bit shorter, um, a bit more like you know, can like all this um volume and stuff like cutting it down: yeah yeah chopping, the lettuce and everything yeah yeah. Of course, yeah yeah yeah. Definitely like it's kind of like hairy style, so a bit shorter yeah along the years like on the summer time. You know it gets pretty oh yeah yeah, then i'm looking for something to kind of like slick it back or maybe you know all right. Yeah cool yeah sounds good man yeah. So what harry styles are we going for because he's had quite a few uh, a few looks hasn't he so sure yeah, please do yeah yeah. Definitely, let's have a look, should be something like this, so um keeping the texture still keeping the texture in here. For example, he still has it uh. Something like this should look really nice as well, so yeah, this kind of like the general idea. Okay - and that means much much shorter on on the ears on the back side and yeah, then probably it's just most of it - is from styling afterwards, a lot of it is from starting afterwards yeah yeah, i'm just a little bit concerned. Your hair is not going to be as clearly when it goes shorter. That'S my only concern. I'Ve never called harry styles there before, but just looking at what his hair's like he does like a lot of these. These shots. You see there they are done by session. Stylists the guys who literally spend their time styling here right for magazines - and it is quite a heavily star pro heavily styled style - doesn't mean it can't be done 100. But i just need you to know that before we proceed, it's fine, it's all right, yep! So you're going to spend time on it, yeah, okay, cool texturizing, sprays, salt, spray, okay, cool, i'm not trying to get there, but like yeah yeah. I think it's just the way. It'S been styled to be fair, but essentially what it is. It'S still it's still. It'S cut off the ear, so it's quite it's quite short on the ear. It'S still, it still sits over the ear, but only very slightly yeah and again taking right up on the neck and then lengthwise on the top. I mean your haircut looks quite short on the top compared to everywhere else anyway, so you'd be surprised, it's probably not much, probably not much too shorter than the top you've got now. To be honest, you know it's more just all around here. That'S really big and long, so you might want to take off probably about that much, maybe or maybe about that much. I reckon yeah, oh that and then that way it will fall around, but you know it might do i'm just i'm hoping this little bit of bend. We can accentuate that's what i'm hoping for and that way you'll get that kind of finish: yeah, yeah cool, all right, then mate. That sounds yeah, pretty straightforward. When you see a photograph it makes it so much easier. It really does all right. Man, cool and everything else that we come across in the haircut i'll talk with you as well. Okay, so there's bits that i'm a bit concerned about neckline will come together, we'll make decisions together all right, buddy right, let's get you gowned up and we'll get you started great. We'Ve just had a another little chat, and it was quite funny because we were talking to him. I said so what what stars we're doing today and i've just i screenshot this at the time - was that a 20 past three ice cream shot. I see and it's now 17. 16.. Okay. Now do you get your phone off for me just to show you that we're on the same page right? That was one that we screenshot. Then, if you get yourself for me adrian, we both got the same one right. When was yours: when did you screenshot yours, seventh of may, okay, see so it's basically the same image right and i'm just saying. I think that will be perfect for us here. That particular image of harry styles, and that's when i, when i didn't, even see a picture of him, i was like okay. This is the one i think if he's going short. This is what i would love to do on him, because this is the kind of one that i think is the most versatile as well. So that's what we're going for? Yeah, happy yeah, sweet horseshoe section to start off again we're keeping a very square shape into this and we're still keeping some length, especially around the ears around the neckline and stuff. So what we need to do is we need to separate the back and sides from the top, so we can start to really see the shape, we're trying to build into this style. So again, we're looking for very square shape, very textured as well. Adrian'S hairline goes inwards at the back, so usually to get some sort of like length to sit over that you have to go with longer, then get it cut up to make it sit over because you've got to build the weight from just behind it. So you've done that now you've had it long enough, so you're good, it's more! So when you're growing your hair out and you've got that neckline and you're growing out, you have to kind of grow it. Maybe a couple of months longer to then get it cut into something that sits a bit softer now. This hairstyle is a lot top heavier than the back and sides okay. So it's a very, very heavily textured finish, but it's essentially cut into a brush back with a kind of left longer on the sides. That'S to me how i break it down into a much more simpler term. Okay, so, like i've always said clean sections, clean haircuts, that's what we're looking for they're. Looking for a nice, clean, well executed finish on the circles, all our primary shape and then the secondary shape so primary being the cut the shape, we're cutting into the haircut and then the secondary shape being texture. That is even both sides. So i am doing this haircut. There is no particular name for the circle. It'S either going to be the adrian or the harry, so i'm going to go for the adrian all right. Let'S, let's see harry styles copied from you all right, no one has to know what we do is we're going to cut in the shape first from the side bins. Now there still is a bit of length, especially for the top looks like there's a slight bit of disconnection going on through harry styles here, so i want to create not a disconnection but more of a heavier transition into the top. So that's in the back. First, especially with harry harry styles, hairline's a little bit higher than yours as well adrian, to be honest, so again playing with that as well and keep that length sitting through there like that. This is going to be a very heavily textured finish, but remember the foundation of the haircut needs to be cut in all right. It'S not just about the textured finish. It doesn't go out very well. This needs to grow nice as well. To me, the neckline looks a little bit shorter on harry's haircut, so bearing in mind adrian's neckline. I'M probably not going to do that as much just because i want to see how this falls on this last section now, because there still is a lot of length in there, because if you think about how you style the circle again, how is your neck's a Little bit longer as well in in places, but i think it was just to sit a little bit higher it would. It might work just need to see how this plays ball down the bottom in the second. So as we cut the back, we'll know what we can get away with then. So it's all about sort of just working like i do with the crown just kind of finishing that off at the end see how it dries and then what you can do at the very end with it all right, then, at the very end, once you've dried It off, i may just finish off the perimeter, follow my guide. There we go see that's still sitting over quite nicely, but yeah. I think we can cut the perimeter off a little bit. Just look at the section patterns creating the texture to it already. Imagine just adding the raise to that instantly instantly textured now we're almost killing two beds at one stone right, we're doing texture and primary shape in one go by a section and pattern which saves an awful lot of time. So i want to leave a little bit on the side bends like the picture, i'm going to work on a point, cutting angle. Now it's quite a cute angle, which is what i want just a bit of free hand as well. Go to the side that length is too long at the back. It doesn't look like the photograph. You know it can just be literally the nape that doesn't work on the on the on my haircut for for the um, the reference you know of harry styles, so i want to make sure that we get everything. Absolutely perfect. Okay, because you know when someone when a client brings in a photograph in some ways, it's great in some ways: it's not because the expectation levels go a lot higher for the barber right, because the like, i want to walk out. Looking like this now, i'm on a good page and adrian right he's a sound guy. He knows he's very he's very in tune with what we have to do for this hairstyle he's very in tune that he's gon na have to spend a bit of time star nipple again. This is what we're doing our best that we can. You know, and and adrian is on understand that you know we're doing what we can with your hair texture right. That'S what we're doing you know. You know this side isn't as curly as well. So i want to make sure we work quite a bit with the rage on that one as well. Now, let's do some texturizing through the size in the back nice fresh, blade start from the right hand, side pick it up, i'm going to work from the center to the ends. I don't want to take it too sort of thin, though i don't want. I don't think harry's hair looks like a thin texture. I think it just looks like a very heavily textured finish, so it doesn't necessarily mean that they've thinned out an awful lot. I'M gon na do i'm gon na use the razor just to create some really nice different texture in there, so it really breaks up because our size is so curly on harry styles. Here i want to do the same kind of thing. I want to be very wispy on the very bottom, but still quite full and finished on the top, putting some bits through there through the back now again, don't go right down to the nape yet because you haven't finished cutting that yet, but that's the texture, i'm Looking for on the sides to replicate how we start, can you see that haircut coming in a little bit now adrian? Can you see the picture forget the top. Just imagine that picture. Can you see what we're trying to achieve here now very square shape? Let'S set the texture sitting through okay cool break up that part of the groove pick a little bit so twist them around and work over them, so they really break off. We go for a very choppy finish on the hairline. Now, what i'm going to do as well, i'm going to work underneath there and add a little bit of lift towards that back, just to bring it out a little bit. I think it could go a little bit flat when the heaviness lies on it. So i just want to give that a little bit of kind of lift as it sits flat. I don't want to sit too flat for him. It'S using the razor and working up, nothing too flat, just sporadic sections as well. Now remember, i reckon that top, but we need to start through the middle because if we picked it up at the very start and we were looking at the hair, the very start - it wasn't that long. So what i'm going to do is i'm just going to take a section just off center to the left, i'm going to work through the middle face and then i'm going to cut the sides in vertically okay. I don't want to leave a massive sort of a lot of weight to the corner. I think it'll collapse too easily. So let's take off about that. Much bring it out this angle and connect them with that guideline, see that guy there and that guide up there, and this angle means we're keeping a little bit of length just also to be heavier over now follow my guide from the left-hand side. I'M taking that length off there, we go this technique that i'm using now is i've used from day one. So you know you just adapt to certain styles that allow you to sort of create new ones or stay on trend or stay trendy or whatever, which way you want to look for. I just think it's a lovely skill to have being able to travel anywhere in the world with just even just these two things. To be honest, just a scissor and a comb. I think it's you know it's a very it's a it's a it's an art form that i think since locked down people appreciate it more now and i'm sure you guys will agree on that angle. Okay, i'm gon na slide in to the hair, because i still want a very choppy blend into this, because that's how i think, looking at the blend from the side to the top is my interpretation of how it was done. I'D love to know if the harry styles is a stylist actually does watch our channel that'd be amazing. If, if you do or you know them i'd love you to leave the comments and just see how how close we are to it very cool. If anyone does know the players nucleus, terry styles, here then um, if you, if you wouldn't mind getting them to comment, i'd love to know how close we were, even if we're miles off just post it anyway. Let me turn around and say: no, that's awful! No! That'S not how i've done it, that's cool i'll, i'm landing then aren't i so that's great my guide using that working through the corner. There we go. Let'S move on this angle, back to the session manager session, so so low. There we go guide guide slightly to a really broken up transition. I'M gon na raise through the top now to make it really really messy and really really stand up as well and lift it off. I'M looking for quite a bit of lift here as well, so working through slide that right on being very fine when i'm sliding through see i'm not taking loads of chunks, i'm just taking fine bits of hair through something. Until i create that little bit more movements easier, it's sitting a bit higher up on the head now right, so i just again emphasize the texture we're looking for will be higher up, though no not as close to the roots. Now i'm gon na work horizontal in this. Now again we cut it in vertically, so i'm working horizontally for the secondary shape. That leaves a little bit hanging over, but it's all blending right, that's what i'm trying to think is. What'S done for harry styles. Is here you see look how flat i'm being against the hair, just really trying to break up my hands and make it looks, fall a little bit more. I see you see kind of really breaking out around the crown, i'm looking for that, like a really heavy sort of chunky, texture, i'm looking for that more frayed, thinner texture bring this across now nice sporadic. It feels like it needs a bit more fruit. There we'll dry this off. Now, i'm actually gon na dry it using both the nozzle and the diffuser. So i'm gon na do i'm gon na dry off the back face just straight down. I'M gon na cut that first then, i'm gon na finish off the rest. Okay, so i'm gon na use the scissors first, just to really really finish off. So that's sitting nicely over the hairline see it's not kicking out, as i thought it would just use my fingers and cut it right to the hairline in the middle and then let it sit a bit while they're at the sides all right, because i want that Shorter finish, i want it to be longer on the sides for all the texture and the back sitting, and it's very much like that on the picture from what i see, i'm just sliding maintaining some of that weight above it just really fraying the ends as well. Work into that a little bit just bring the thickness out to the back. You do need to leave a little bit of length just in there to make it sit over what we call like a little little wave on the nape back inside diffuser all right now. I'M also going to dry off with some of the balmain texturizing soft spray. Okay, by the way, this smells incredible all right, second, second after shave, or a perfume right dry, this into the hair, some good sprays working, my fingers into it really starting to diffuse the hair together, we're going to work through with our diffuser in a little bit. It'S going for that nice chunky texture. There we go so i'm putting a height on a medium speed and also media heat. Okay, i want to really break up his back inside. I don't need to be super messy. Okay drying this in working through like a scrunch trying to emphasize to some of that curl well they're, not necessarily care, but more of a wave that we can create comedians here, try and replicate that picture now the fuse are off then brush and nozzle back on And now i'm putting up the heat so heat's going to be higher. Now: okay, i'm starting from the back dry. This okay just go and dry it back; okay, like so from the balance of being a little bit, wavy a bit of height to being quite messy and quite carey on the sides, and just finish off the finger finger finish off a little bit of finger drawing So, to finish off, i'm going to use some of my paste all right because the matte piece it's got like a natural shine. I find i think it's completely matte, but we've put a lot of texture in we've. Put a lot of blow drying in this. Well, not a lot really, but we've created a nice shape with the diffuser and the hairdryer, and the nozzle on ice already emphasized this now, so i'm going to layer this product in okay, so small little bits so i'll just show you aging small little bits like So, okay, i'm just going to work it into my hands. You don't want to overload the hair with product straight away, you're going to waste the product and also you know you might need that little bit of product one day that you haven't got now. I'M gon na lay this in face so through the back and the sides first, okay, so maybe pure purely the back like that right then a little bit through the sides and scrunch them in okay, like that to create that kind of messiness twist the side burns With falls quite messy like so then just flatten that down a little bit as well just to get that neckline sitting nice now same amounts for the top. If you would put all this in one, go: it'll just clump in one side, all right now same again, working it round and it wear through now this time round work it through your fingers as well. Okay, almost like you're rubbing in like a hand, lotion okay, because, as you run your hand through your hair, all your fingers intertwine through the hair. So if it's coated all over it'll coat it more as well. Okay, like so now start from the front, i'm gon na stretch this out a bit so we're showing off that more wave at the top and that curl at the sides all right work it through here, like so and then style as desired. So i can't see the back, but i'm only guessing that the back is kind of mirroring the side, so you've got a little bit of texture for the back sitting there as well. You'Ve got that little bit of wave sitting through it can be as messy as you like it, i'm just looking at that hairstyle you showed me so i'm going to try and base it on that. Let'S make it before you any number of harry styles, hair styles, to be fair, mate, it's very, very similar to the wall. I think he has a very similar finish with it being quite top-heavy almost like a disconnect on the side to create that kind of looseness and then quite messy through the top there we go how's that, for you, man, that's nice, happy yeah yeah looks good. It'S good, it's! I think it's very, very, very close fitting of your hair texture, it's harry styles, as you can see, it's a lot shorter. Now the back has to stay that long, unfortunately, just because of the neckline, but you've got all that texture sitting through there. As well so you'd always smooth out a bit more. If you want to, i just tried to show off two textures the smoothness through here and then they're quite scrunchy kale through the back as well. Don'T leave the neckline, nice and natural as well for you less hassle, for you looks more natural with this style as well. How'S that looks really nice thanks man, it looks cool, it's lovely, isn't it you know you can do you can use a picture? Isn'T it as a reference, but you still have to go with what you're here saying as well, and i think that is so close to a lot of his hairstyles and it suits you to be fair mate. I think that shape really really should you could you put your mask down for me a second. If you don't mind that looks wicked, i knew that man really nice yeah, that's nice looks great thanks man. Thank you very much. Oh

Ryan Croy: Getting a hair cut from Dan is officially on my bucket list.

Juan Mark: How can someone dislike this? Its literally the best haircut I’ve ever seen

Liam Wilson Smyth: Starting my barber training in two weeks, so inspirational to watch this channel. not just cutting hair and getting people through the door, it's a legit artform in these videos. I've been watching for months but finally commenting to just say I love the content and feel so much more prepared just from listening to the consultations, the cut, everything. Keep the content coming guys!

Ala Lulu: Omg that hairstyle sooo on point. I think it even better than harry styles pictures. Good work as always!

Somer Styles: Fantastic hairdressing. Awesome cut

KINGHARRYSTYLES 1D🇮🇪: It looks really good just like Harry's

Lost Without Her: I have a new found respect for this wavy medium length haircut and style. Those with this haircut make it look like a very casual, uncalculated girlfriend-ran-her-fingers-through-my-hair, effortless sort of thing. Meanwhile, it's the total opposite in terms of the effort and calculations of the barber/stylist. There are so many factors and levels of complexity. Of course, Dan nails it as usual. #Mind-blown. Ka-pow!

Eloy Cavazos: Wow! Amazing job!

Vonyx: THIS IS GREAT, I have blond hair so I don’t think this would look great on me but nice job nevertheless

Wan Hafiz: his hair is originally perfect!

Adventurous: Makes me wanna finally move on from high skin fades

MoonSteep: This cut is dope, i'd love to have this haircut just that my forehead is a tiny bit to big which in my opinion doesn't make it look nearly as good

ya Boy Jonez: OMG I want that haircut so bad now I just need the hair.

Craig Wilson: Do you know if the Regal Gentleman matte clay will be back in stock anytime soon? It was my favourite hair product :)

José Armando Rosales: Omg! You're crazy, man. That's the same haircut. Every video you prove you are so talented.

B.I-The_Willowdoc: Every time i watch your videos, i hate my barber more, even tho he's one of the best in here , i just wish, i had a barber as understanding and skilful as you if not you ❤️

Nash E: Dan you are amazing ! But have to say, this guy was going to look like a knockout at the end no matter what... Please find some "average Joe" like me and make them shine.

Ristiono Agus: He's a model? Oh okay. No wonder he's got star look even before the haircut.

Saad Abdul Hakeem: Yayyy another masterpiece from Dan

Yo Rock: Besides hair cut I like the way how fast he changes the holding of scissors from one finger to other

SplitZ HD: Cleanest cut I’ve seen

GUCCIっち: めっちゃかっこいい!

Anminh Tran: And it’s even perfect for his head shape

Dr Spicy: Would love to get the long harry styles haircut But i have been cursed with straight fine hair

Cristian Luna: This is art

Wild Opal: Whoo! His eyes with those straight brows❤️‍❤️‍❤️‍

ink: Superb haircut.

miganoosh petrossian: He has to take very good care of his hair. If he doesn't his hair is going to get damaged. Because he got the razer brush cut. Well done, beautiful haircut .

Saminziz: Lol he showed the barber Harry styles haircut and I'm showing my barber his haircut. I love it more

Trevan 66: No joke the about of times he said yeah is ridiculous

Carolyn Guerra: I love seeing boys take inspo from Harry omg

Bent Ice: The hair at 18:24 actually looks better imo

XSoCuteR: Hey Dan, Long time fan, i was wondering what kinda scissors you are using. If i ever come to London i'll be sure to visit ur shop :) Greetings from the Netherlands!

zack morris: Using blade on the hair to thin it and add texture is the worst thing one can do, I’ve been in the hairdresser industry for 30 years and this is arguably the worst thing you could possibly do.

Jayma Fox: it looks harry’s 2013 hair style but i do see the 2020 hair styles too

gabriel soriano: moving to london hope to get a haircut from Dan soon

Numair Younus: It looked better before honestly tho!

Andrew Moore: what's the texture spray product used?

Gregy Joe Batin: What an Art.

Abhimanyu Saroha: You forgot to do one little thing.......forgot to pull his hairline back :)

David Berry: @regalgentleman how long would a cut like this take you in the salon?

Brett Loy: What size shears are those?

Wooplot: It's a meme at this point to say this, but it looked so good before! he lost a good amount of beautiful wavy length.

Mr. S.: Styles wished he had hair like this model :)

??: Welldone bro, u r back to the awkward stage:)

Dick: Yo go crazy with the vids✌

Serge Helet: hi, could you tell me which brand of scissors you work with. are you 7 or 8 inches. thank you for your beautiful videos.

Harrison Styles: From timothee chalamet to Harry styles

RozCG25: Matthew mcconaughey style please

John M: Not a hair out of place when finished, but what will it look like tomorrow? A bit overdone especially use of the razor after doing such a great cut with his magical scissors. At that point after his perfect shaping with the scissors, the hair can be combed in any direction and look good. Trying too hard to reach "perfection" is not always good in the long run.
