Hey there, everyone it's lori in today's video. If you keep watching, you will see how i did my hair from start to finish, as requested by one of my lovely subscribers. So i hope you enjoy that if you have short hair like this and have wanted to know, you know a different way to style it or how i style it just keep watching, and then i focused in on the lips because they're pretty spectacular this color, it Is mac's candy yum yum, the most gorgeous color? Ever even the name. You know you just you just love it for the name alone, um and then over it. I have this and it's a dazzle glass by mac in fun, tabulus and i will show you a swatch. It is a spectacular color and looks so good over this color and there's a good shot in the sun right there. It'S got like purples and blues and pinks. Oh, it's just it's absolutely gorgeous and then on my face really really simple, um my eyes, all from the nars palette and god created the woman. Basically, i have this color on my lid, this in the crease and then this one in the outer v, with a brown liner and uh my nars casino, as my bronzer as my blush, my nyx cream blush in hot pink. I thought that would go nicely with the lipstick, then, as my highlighter uh, i've been wearing this and it's by illamasqua, it's a concealer skin base, lift brightening concealer in w light. So it looks like this, and this is what the back looks like and it is a beautiful creamy, creamy stark white and i wear as a concealer and also under my brow bone and then i put my shadow on. It holds a shadow really nicely and also gives me that nice white, like bright, look underneath my eyes that i am like stressing over trying to get that look well. This gives it to me and it's so creamy and highly highly pigmented. This will last you your whole life and then over that i have the nars albatross, which is a beautiful um golden whitish, highlighter blush, and i just i absolutely love it. Oh and then i want to show you my nails by nailing so natural, everyday, french oval shape. That'S the box and the number is 71513 medium pink right there. Okay, so they are, they were french and i just painted over them using this new sephora color, the x, the formula x in the color thrilling. That'S it right there, it's a beautiful taupey, putty color with a lavender undertone, and i have it on this hand. I put it on my thumb, middle and pinky, and then i did this cute little um leopard with just like a glittery, sparkly, frosty brown and then lined in black, not very exact, and on this hand i did it on my ring and thumb, and then this Color right here is gem crush by sally hansen in the color big money and it's a gorgeous gorgeous very um, opaque glitter. So it's got the beige and purple glitters and it's just really really pretty, and these are i never wore the oval shape before and i really love it. It makes me feel very, very, very feminine, and i've already gotten compliments and i go out, which is how i always know if i done good this video was requested by one of my subscribers midsummer1967. She asked me to show from start to finish how i style my hair, because i guess she got her hair cut a similar way and uh. So i'm going to do this for you so first i wash it and i condition it and then put a towel dry a little bit and then i use these two products. This is kevin murphy, young again, and this stuff is expensive. It was like i took off the thing i think 40., 30 - maybe thirty, but i got it um at a huge discount, because my friend ben gave me a discount um and then i use this. The l'oreal new smooth, intense extreme straight cream - and it looks like this, and so i put four pumps of this and i have to just say this - smells like the most amazing thing ever and a little like dime size score to this, and i you know put It all through my hair - and this is what my hair looks like after i've - done - that this is my hair dryer. It is a revlon, something ceramic, it's worn off. I don't believe in buying expensive hair dryers. I'M sorry, um 35 is the most. I would spend ones that advertise that they dry your hair and half the time are no good for me, because i have thin hair and i don't want it to dry so quickly that i can't style it so um. This one has this on it that little um thing that directs the heat which i do like that, because um i like to concentrate in one area and not have the rest blow all over the place and then the brush or the two styling brushes that i Use is this um, it's not listed anywhere. Who makes this that is so stupid, but anyways. I got it at sally and it's very very thin, so you can see like the size of my finger. It'S really really thin. When i first got my hair cut, i needed it that thin because um i hardly had any hair, he cut it really short, that's now a lot longer and then just a comb, and that's going to be for when i straighten my hair, the straightening iron that I use is this: i got this also at sally. Oh, i probably got that at sally too. Just to let you know um, this is by plugged in ged, it's got the little cute rhinestones pink plates um, and this is, i believe, a half an inch and uh. It just has an on and off switch it. It uh. It heats up, pretty quick. So that's what i used to straighten my hair okay. So before we get started, i'm gon na tell you what i'm gon na do, because you won't be able to hear me and i'm gon na put this part on fast forward when i blow dry, my hair. So that you don't sit and watch me blowing dry, my hair for a long time, um. Basically, what i'm going to do is i want it really straight. So i'm going to blow the sides, the front this side and the back all down. Okay! So take a look, actually i'm blowing it down and forward, and i do that for a little while blowing it pretty much in the opposite direction of how i'm going to eventually style it. So i'm trying to straighten out my little waves that i have there and then sometimes i stop with the brush and i'll just use my hand a little bit once my hair is semi-dry. I then use this um brush to curl it forward. In this kind of motion, so i take pieces and i'm going to blow dry the pieces and then they'll end up going flat and straight down you'll see when i get to the back. I blow it up and back like that pretty much dry. I just kind of maybe will spritz it again just the front a little bit with some water and then do that curl motion. I do curl and pull down curl and pull down and that's pretty much for the blow drying part, and then i use one or both of these products. The first one is by kevin murphy, again easy rider, anti-frizz cream, also very expensive. It looks like that and i still keep this little thing on and that's what the cream looks like this will give me a semi strong, hold but still movable um. This is my holy grail product. They sell it at ulta, but it's been discontinued, so i'm gon na have to find it on ebay or somewhere else. It'S by the company jonathan and it's called dirt, and this is texturizing paste and i got the small one stupid me smells like almonds and that's what it looks like and i have tried every paste in the world. This is the only one that i truly absolutely adore: it really um separates the pieces without it feeling greasy and it doesn't get crispy hard, but it stays it's amazing. So today i'm going to use a little bit of the easy rider and probably about that. Much rub it between my hands, especially make sure it's on my fingertips, and then i flatten all my hair down with it, and i do this before i flat iron. Okay, that's all that i really need this to me is the fun part, because there is no real rhyme or reason to it uh, it's just kind of how creative you want to be, and i love that each time i do it, it comes out a little Bit different, so i take the flat iron and i just start taking pieces with the comb, and i start at the back and just bring them up like that very haphazardly, and my only limit is how short my hair is. So if it's really short, i don't want to burn myself, so i can't really get any closer. So just take some pieces like that with the comb and do that when i get to the front, i don't really do it um quite the same. I kind of take a few pieces like this just grab them. My hair is really short in front and i always burn myself now. This is the front side and back, and then i kind of play with it and put it all down again and mess it up and decide how i want it and i usually like to have a piece kind of sticking up like that. So i take this and i take about that much and work it in my hands, mostly at my fingertips and thumbs and then start to just pick pick pick pick and i concentrate on the front a lot because i like the pieces to kind of be separated. Like that and kind of just do that, and then i like do the ends and maybe twist of couple it's very uh. You know there's no um rules, it's just how i like it. Like. Let'S say i want this piece to kind of stick up a little bit and i don't like how that is. I might push it down or get it more and then, like let's say i want this piece. More sticking up. I take the flat iron again and just do that. The beauty of this cut is the more messy it is the better it looks. I want to say thank you to everybody who has been concerned about. You know my recovery. I still have cramps um, but i am going back to work tomorrow for a few hours, so that'll be good. I am like dying to have something to do other than uh shopping and uh. So i just want to say thank you so much because you all make me feel so very cared about and thought about. It'S nice to know. People out there are thinking about me and anyways enjoy the rest of the video. Thank you so much for watching bye,

Foxxy LAH: Love this! Just got a pixi and I'm in love with it. Your video is great and as an African American, your tips and method translates to my type of hair also. Thanks for posting, pray your recovery continues on a speedy path and be blessed!

Jules of Wisdom: It's good to see you doing amazingly well and looking amazing. Sorry to hear that you still have some pain.

Kate Heptonstall: Love your pixie cut and style.  Thinking of doing that to mine for the summer.  I don't know how it would look on a chubby 66 year old, but if it looks bad on me, it'll grow.

Baze: Yes! Dirt is a must have for short layers. I miss my pixie, it was so much friggin'fun. I hope you get relief from your cramps soon, wishing you all good things~ xo

It was like friends having a spa day or something.  Thanks again!!

LoveMyDog: Jonathan Antin's Dirt is still available. In fact, you can buy it on Walmart.com for about $13 with free shipping. Also, Amazon carries it. I left you this message on some random discussion page because I could not remember in which video (obviously this one) you mentioned this product. It comes in a tube like toothpaste. I used to use it, too. I'm going back to it now that my hair is cut in the shortest possible pixie (growing out after chemo). I never thought I would enjoy this haircut, but I do. I want it platinum like yours, but my hair stylist wove/bleached it just this side of lifelessness. Love you, your hair and your videos.

Jane Fleet: Hi, just found your channel.  I have to say, I LOVE YOUR HAIR!  So cute and edgy.  Do you plan on keeping it like this?  Makeup is pretty as well.

Cate K.: Your video is adorable. You can wear anything you want. Age is a number that's it! The comments by the 46 yo were mean. Who cares what she thinks. I’ve had a pixie for a few years now and it takes me maybe five minutes to do it in the morning...and yes, I get lots of compliments and people asking for my stylist’s name!!!

Yvonne Whelan: Please stop advertising the hair products and tools! Get on with the styling.
