Giving Myself A Super Short Pixie Cut!

Hey y'all so who's ready to see me chop all my hair off we're gon na i'm gon na try to do a short pixie cut on myself. I'M scared, but we're gon na see. Look at this. This is literally my hair. It'S disgusting! It'S right there, my hair is like straw, it's disgusting, like i can't do this anymore. I'Ve tried treatments. I'Ve tried i'm using like a 50 shampoo and conditioner right now. I'Ve done protein treatments all that kind of stuff, and i have completely busted my cuticle open, but my hair is wet. It is like literally like bubble gum like. I can just stretch it and pull it apart. So there's no hope for it anymore. So i'm gon na cut it all off, so i'm not too worried about this being super duper, even because i'm gon na cut it a lot shorter after this. Oh, my god, i'm so scared also don't mind. I don't have my eyebrows on i'm showing my true face right now. I know it's not pretty to look at, but it'll be okay. My husband and my daughter are sitting right outside my bathroom door in my bedroom, probably listening to me ramble to the camera, but that's okay, all right! You guys! Are you ready? Will you see me again? All this is gon na be gone. Okay, so go go! Go go, go all right. So, let's see if hair school taught me anything because it apparently did not teach me how to not completely fry my hair. No i'm just playing. It did teach me that, but i didn't listen. I have been to cosmetology school. I actually am most of the way through college cosmetology school. I only need 400 more hours, i think, to get licensed. It might be more than that it might be like 600, but i'm like halfway through cosmetology school. So i literally do know how to dye my hair and bleach my hair and not do this to it. But i'm like a psychopath and i've been bleaching it for years and then i got tired of the bleach and decided i started doing colors in it, and i got this blue like stuck in it. So i decided to do a red over that and i had it red for a little while and then my cuticle was so busted. The red kept just was coming out so quickly like i would watch it. I was using a permanent dye and i would wash it a couple of times and it would just almost be gone. So i did a really dark brown color, which i hate, but i was trying to fix my hair, so i was like oh but my cuticle's. So busted, i bet i could just do a bleach bath on my hair and like just pull that brown right out of it and it didn't work. I had these orange spots like these really dark, yellow spots, all in my hair, even after i toned it, and my hair was already so damaged that i couldn't just keep bleaching it to try to get it. Even so, i went and got a it's like a willa. It'S called like an a12 or something it's just a straight violet, it's not like t18er. That is like a strong, pure violet pigment, and i put that in there and it turned it this, like. I don't know if you can see on camera, but it's just really weird like brown silver, it was more silver when i first did it, but just it's not good. It'S not good, and here we are fried hair. It'S sad we're about to cut it. I'Ve! Never i've cut my own hair for years i've only in the past couple of years. Let anybody cut my hair. I'Ve never chopped my hair off like this, like ever like i'm so scared, so we're just gon na. Do it these professional sheers, so sharp no standing here chopping at it for an hour? For me, oh look, this is how dead my hair is. Look at that it doesn't even move. It looks like a dead animal - oh my god, okay! So there's that now for the other one, i don't know what angle to do this at it's very awkward. Okay, i'm gon na like look in my mirror real quick, so i can actually see look. Would you want that on your head? That, literally my son told me it feels like a rug, look at that it doesn't move and look. This has like leave-in conditioner in it and oil and, like anything, you could imagine, and it's just okay, my hair is gone actually, like i don't hate this. So let me grab a mirror trying to find one of my big little tablets with a big mirror, but i'm not having much luck. So it's super nasty. Of course, all right, let's see, let's see what i'm working with. Oh, do you see all the spots in the back like look how gross that is? Okay, it's actually not bad, except for, like that, oh well! I guess i could get over here. So you can see so it's funny and gross okay. So i'm gon na pause and trying to fix this in the back, because i'm using my phone and the way i have it set up, i can't see my mirror and record all the same time. You'Re, probably not going to be able to see anything except for me like bumbling around, so what's up i'll, be back okay, so i'm about to section it and i'm going to take some clippers to the underneath. I know the actual best way. My already feels so much better actual best way to cut a pixie is with scissors, but i obviously cannot section and direct the back of my hair and the way it needs to be so i'm going to section off the long part at the top and then Take the clippers to it and see what happens so. I might actually have to get some help with this, so it will be even in the back but i'll, see trying to look in my mirror, because my ring light is literally blinding me and i can't see what i'm doing, and it is not a good time. Okay, now i'm gon na go get the back i'll, be back okay, so i had to pause for a minute and get some assistance with um section in the back, because i really can't see what i'm doing and now that i'm looking at it. It doesn't look like the sections all that great either, so i'm gon na take it down, and i have this little bobby pin in it, because i have a ton of new growth and it's just like all in the way everywhere. So take it down a little bit right. There look in the mirror, it's storming at my house like serious, thunder and lightning okay. So let's put this back up and we're about to start with the clippers, and i'm really scared. I think i'm actually gon na have to go through and like cut a bunch more of this off and get it short enough for clippers to actually go through it, because my hair is really thick, but i think i'm just going to try the clippers first. So here are my clippers. I had some really uh. Well, i thought they were really nice. I had some that i got when i was in cosmetology school that i paid like who knows how many hundreds of dollars for and literally by the end of eight months, they were just broken. Didn'T work at all so felt like a little bit of a rip off. Okay, i'm gon na start out with the longest guard, because i'm scared and i'm gon na open it um and let's see how it goes. You that's right. I probably should have changed my shirt before i decided to do this, so so foreign uh, okay, so step one complete and i'm gon. Na be honest, i don't think this is the greatest sectioning ever. I think it's gon na be a little uneven, but i am leaving some lengths on the top. So and honestly, this is a draw run, considering just buzzing it like next week. If i don't love this, so we're just gon na do the best we can. So i'm just gon na do a couple of more uh guards. I'M gon na try to fade it up a little bit on the sides and um i'll be back well. No! I'M gon na have to edit this part out, probably because i'm gon na video, most of it but probably gon na speed it up foreign. That would be awesome. Okay, so i'm back, i gave up i'm trying to film myself with the clippers, because i just my ring light was in my way and i was half blind, and this is one of the harder things i've ever done with my hair. I know it's probably not that even in the back, it's like really all over the place, so i can't tell how much that is it being uneven and how much is just from it being a mess. So i'm going to finish the haircut wash my hair and then go back and try to see what i need to do about that and also i know this part in the back is really messed up. I accidentally pulled part of it down with the clippers, but it's too late now, so i'm gon na work on the top, and i was debating whether or not to just take sorry that was disgusting. All terrible out of my brush um, it's debating just taking a razor to it, but then again i feel like that might not be the best. Now. I'Ve had a haircut obviously better than this, but very similar to this before. Oh, my god, i could just leave it this way. I could slick it back. I have that, like ruby rose, vibe going, you know, but yeah i have a big head. That'S not my style! Okay, so trying to decide what to do at the top of it, and i kind of just want to like hack it all to hell with a razor i'm trying to find my razor hold on razor, which i've also been using this on my wig. So it might not even cut my hair, i don't know, i think i'm gon na go through first and cut it the way it needs to be and then consider doing the razor, i'm not sure which direction i need to cut it in, though, i'm not sure If i need to go this way - or this way, i think i'm gon na try this way pull sections up from the back like this. Okay, let's go where's my comb. Where are my scissors? Where is anything what is life? Why are we here? What'S the meaning of the universe? What is hair? Why are people so attached to hair? Why do people give such a about hair, it's hair? It grows all the time. You could literally shave it down your scalp and within a week you would have more hair. It'S fine people get so weird about their hair, but i've always like hair's always been my thing: i've always dot it and colored it and it's the same thing. I'Ve always colored it and cut it and done all kind of stuff to it. But this is a little extreme, even for me not gon na lie. I feel like this section is garbage. I feel like what i'm about to do to my hair is garbage, but i'm gon na find out i'll leave a little length on it so see it's still so damaged. I like can't even keep it combed out. It just keeps going in knots, so yeah, i'm just gon na go for it. I'M gon na quit talking about it and i'm gon na go for it. Okay, i can't do that looking in the camera, so i'm gon na. Do it like this. That was super uneven. I moved the scissors and the middle cutting that's eggs in so that's gon na be my super janky terrible guide. That'S probably not gon na be very helpful because it was uneven, but that's okay, we're okay, everybody's okay, it's gon na be okay! You know that okay, so i've quickly discovered within two sections that cutting the top of my hair like this is not gon na be a good time. So there's that okay, i need a real hairbrush, so that was unsuccessful. My daughter has hauled off all my hair. Brushes except this one, which is a smoothing brush and she doesn't know what she's done with them. She probably put it in my car, it's the middle of the thunderstorm, so we're not gon na do that right now. We'Re gon na do without that, and i'm just gon na keep working across the top taking sections. These are terrible sections. I can't see to make a clean set seat. Look at that it doesn't matter how much i brush it. How much i comb it! It'S just a knot so trying to find my god there. She is as much as i have a god that is um. These sheers are very sharp and i'm terrified, i'm gon na chop the end of my finger off and these sections are very uneven, but i'm not gon na lie because this early 2000s emo boy thing going on and i feel like we're, headed in a good direction. Look this. This is exactly how my hair was from like eighth to when i graduated after i graduated until i started having kids, it was like the caring cut, but it was like an edgy like scene kid karen cut, and i would like keep the back like this long And put half a can of rave hairspray in my hair and just spike it out like a weapon, and i loved it. I thought it was so cool. I kept it like that for years i just uh for years have been wanting to have long hair and i'm always like i'm gon na grow it out. I'M not gon na die, i'm not gon na cut it and i'm starting to come to the conclusion that maybe long hair is just not for me. No, i really really want it and i'm hoping that this really short cut will be like a new beginning, and i can like not bleach my hair and and have it to actually be like decently healthy and it will actually grow, because what always happens is even When i do stop cutting it and i get it to like a decent length, i start bleaching it and then the ends just shred off of it. So it's never really the longest i've had my hair since i was like a child was like this long and the ends of it were just like shredded and dead like i was hanging on to every little piece that i possibly could. So i really really truly. I'M gon na try to keep the bleach out of my hair, but i can't promise anything, i'm just a blonde at heart. I can't help it it's who i am. I know. Brad wanda is gon na watch this and just be like. Oh, my god, look at her sections. Why is she cutting her hair like that? Look, i'm not gon na lie, i'm really into where this is going. I just leave it like this and be my emo dream. You know i miss being 14., i'm not gon na, and you know i keep worrying about how uneven the sections are and stuff and honestly as long as it's all basically the same length, i really want it to be kind of like messy and choppy anyway. So as long as there's nothing crazy happening, i think it'll be okay, see. I know you can't even see like the top of my hair, where i'm cutting, but i have to be close enough see. I can't even see trying to be close enough to the mirror. That'S literally, all i've been doing this whole time, even though i like cut off the top of my hair. Basically the whole time. Nothing too interesting is happening. We are pulling it straight up and then going straight across, and that is what we're almost done. We'Re almost done the last little bit, i'm about to cut them yeah, i'm just trying to get those knots out. That'S nonsense! Garbage i'm not like whispering! Are you even gon na be able to hear the audio on this video my husband's sitting right outside our bathroom? In the bed - and i'm like don't want him to hear me, rambling and think i'm like a crazy person. He knows i'm a crazy person, though he didn't want me to chop off all my hair, but i was like it's literally like a dead animal on my head. It has to go. It has to go okay last little little piece right there, little long piece. I can't see it it's too tiny. Oh, my god, why is my depth perception so off? I literally, like my brain, refuses to see this tiny piece of hair. Okay, all right, so a bunch of it's gone off the top. It still has a lot of weight in the ends, though, and i feel like this is gon na - have to go shorter. Oh look! Look at this giant piece. I missed right here, okay, so i'm about to take my razor to it and my depth perception is so off you guys. Why can i not cut this piece of hair? Oh my god. Let me try this look. I literally my brain is like keeps wanting to move my hand instead of the shears, i'm not even holding my shears right there. Oh god, okay so definitely need to go shorter on the top much shorter, but i was a little scared, so we're just gon na take this bad boy off that i just dropped in my sink and we're gon na do work. Oh this thing is so dull. Oh, it hurts it hurts now now we okay, maybe i should just cut more length off before i go for that, because i use that on a wig and it hurts i'm not a fan right now. Hey like this, like justin bieber, but i really want like a truly like a short pixie cut. I'M just scared. Okay, you guys know the drill pulling up some horizontal sections cutting the end. I'M gon na go. I'M gon na get some more of this length off and i'll be back really forgot to film. I took a bunch off the top and now i'm just point cutting the out of the front. Let'S try to give it some texture, take a little weight off the ends, and here we are, let's see, oh, my god, i have someone tear on me, i'm so uncomfortable. I don't know why i didn't put a t-shirt on okay, so i feel, like this side is kind of where i want it. This side is still really long and thick. So let's take some more off. Oh, my god, i'm sorry, i have hair all over me and for some reason my brain has decided that depth perception is not something that i possess anymore. So i just i can't film and cut, but just a lot of horizontal sections and point cutting and we're gon na get through this okay, so first off, i've never been so uncomfortable in my whole life i'm about to shower, but this is what we've got right Now it looks really funny because my part is like stuck into it. I kind of like it, though. It'S really cool look at that, so uh oil, i'm gon na wash it i'm gon na head to bed tonight um tomorrow. I will style it and put on some makeup and show you guys how it turned out. Okay, so i just got out of the shower. I washed my hair. This is what it's looking like um, i kind of like it. I kind of i got ta figure out how to take some weight off of this side over here, because i really this side is doing much better. This one's really heavy, but that's normally the way. I part my hair, so tomorrow i will um style it and give you guys my final update and thoughts on the new cut. Okay, you guys so i was just gon na - do a little outro, real, quick and show you guys the results i'm gon na have to mess around with styling it a little bit. I kind of look like a teenage boy right now, but overall i think it came out really cute. I like it um. It definitely feels better already. I am going to be dying. It like a darker color and try not to keep. You know bleaching it and stuff, while i'm growing it back out, if i don't end up keeping it short but um yeah.
