Hey guys welcome back in this video, I thought I'd share with you how I got my extensions in after having really really short hair. I actually shaved my head a couple of times. The first time was April. 17Th. 2016. Then at some point in May again and sometime in the summer as well, so I started letting it grow back in the summer and then on December 30th of 2016, I went back to raging in wood studio and had a bunny install these extensions, which I made Out of human hair - and I used Bellamy hair extensions to do that, which I know some of you may cringe, or people use actual hair extensions already cringe. I am in hindsight. I wish I used a different brand because Bellamy is pretty expensive and I was hoping that I was getting like really good quality hair and I really didn't mind the investment, because I planned on having these extensions and for many months to come. But what I found is the color bushed Allen and it's not that I've washed the extensions a lot. Obviously, I've washed my skull right, but I don't know the the color that I matched and you can see in the video that I'm actually working on these extensions at the studio because I didn't manage to finish all of them in time for the installation. So while Avani is putting them on my head, I'm actually finishing some of them in my lap with a crochet hook that Brown turned into almost blond and if you watch my dreadlock journey, video you'll see like how blonde my hair is already in that video. So they really washed out and the texture was yeah. It was okay, they were pretty soft when they came in and the tips stayed. The loose ends stayed relatively soft through the months but anyways. So, as you can see in the video Avani is sectioning. My hair. In the fan style, section sections which I find easier to manage when it comes to food maintenance and the dreadlocks kind of fall a little bit nicer than they would with the brick pattern. My previous sectioning was a little bit more like Tetris pieces, because originally I started doing that myself and I did a brick pattern with really teeny tiny sections. So when I went to Avani the very very first time she had to combine a bunch of them, so they were just like all these random sections in my hair that would it was okay, but it didn't. It wasn't really great in terms of maintaining the mood. So loose hairs would get from one dead dread to the next and if we made it take more time to work on my hair, so now it's a little bit easier actually happened. I think I maintained my roots since then. That'S her twice! So that's been over a year ago. At this point, extensions I bought online were 20 inches long and I left a good amount of hair as loose tips a because I wanted the length and B because I just didn't have enough time to dress all of them. So we left the sides short and we ended up with 65 dreadlocks when I had a full head. I used to have 88, but now I have 65 and the whole process took about seven and a half hours. So I was in the chair for seven half hours. I think we took one half hour break and had lunch where I had to do is section my hair, the red my roots and then attach the extensions. So there you go results now. I'Ve since actually removed those extensions and attached my old dreadlocks. I know shocker, some people might think it's disgusting, but I'm actually really glad. I did it and I'm going to post a video of me doing that and kind of explain why I did that. I'M gon na link this down below or at the end guard you'll see a link to that other video. If you're interested and then I'll show you how I attached the real dread extensions to my new growth of hair. Alright guys, if you like, dreadlock videos subscribe, you also need your vlogs or self-love talk, meditation, healthy living and all the good guys join the fam I'll see you guys in the next video

Matt Swanberg: Another question, how long did your extensions stay in with your hair being this short? Is maintaining your extensions harder when starting this short? Thank again!!

Brooke Morrow: I love your dreadlocks. I'm waiting for my hair to grow out after buzzing my dreads out. I now know I can't maintain them on my own.

Edrea Kemp: I have a short asymmetrical cut right now, but I plan on getting dreads for my next birthday in about 5 months with extensions. This video is helpful to see the process!

Musiccat95: I shaved my head and now I want dreds so this was so helpful thankyou

Austin: I shaved my head a few weeks ago after growing my hair out for two years... I’ve wanted dreads for a long long time but now that I hardly have any hair I want them even more haha. I’m watching a lot of dread videos for now and once my hair gets long enough I really want extensions

That Amber Chick: I’m going this Wednesday to start my journey with locs. I’m so excited!!!

Matt Swanberg: Where did you have these done?? My hairs about the same length now and I really want to start!! Thank you

BG Harris: I think it is so cool that you had your old dreads to use. :)

Maddi Carter: Hi I have roughly the same length hair as you before adding in the dreadlocks and I find that I can’t tease my hair to initiate the dreads in my natural hair, it’s like my hair is too straight and after crocheting, twisting and ripping and back combing I still can’t get my natural hair to form into a dread let alone attach the extensions to them, do you have any tips? I’m so stuck on what to do thanks!

Resist: Would have been nice to show close up how she attached them.

sceneq lynn: How much did it cost? My hair is roughly as short as yours and I want dreads so bad.

Tipiwhenua Tanirau: I don't understand why people think that using your old dreads as extensions is gross but those same people are willing to use human hair extensions. I would rather my own hair then some random stranger to be honest.

Silver: How many have you got? They’re gorgeous.!

Vagrant Artist: Lol the thumbnail went from hot school teacher that you wanna piss off so she can pull you out of class and yell at you, to lez love interest at the library, to Rasta-rave Barbie

Mollie and Dollies: Great video

Brooke Lambert: Wow. They look great.

Subash Lama-Tamang: Video play back speed is too fast ...

Tammy Michelle: Please tell me more about the extensions u bought. How much were they and where did u buy them? Thank you .. luv them!!!

Kaido: You look like you got some cake fr fr
