How To Install De Dread Extensions - The Braiding Methods

-Open me for A TON of extra info!-

Special S/O to Tez from TezManiaTV for her install tutorial I learned from, found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bKW99...

How long does you hair have to be to install this way? The min. recommended length is 3-4 inches, but I’ve seen people install this way on 2 inch hair. For shorter, see further down in the description!

Is there a max length? Yes and no. If you use the regular braid, your hair shouldn’t be too much longer than the dreads, but it can be by a little bit. If you use the blanket stitch, there’s virtually no maximum bc of how short the braid ends up.

Whether your hair is straight, curly, wavy, or any texture (to my knowledge) is fully personal preference (although I've been told it's best to install on afro texture using the protective crochet method, linked below).

The dreads are from Tyto Dreads!

THINGS I DID NOT MENTION BUT WILL BE COVERED IN A FUTURE VIDEO:

Layout and sectioning

Section sizing (for now, know that a good guide is the the size of the bend or two times one dread end!)

^Those are topics I had originally included in this vid but I was all over the place trying to explain, so I’ll be redoing it as it’s own video!

Hey guys, so this video is a long time overdue, but I'm finally redoing my how I install double ended dreads before we dive in. I just want to acknowledge that you guys might hear some kind of spooky sounds in the background. That'S actually just wind going through my house and windows and stuff and stuff. You hear some kind of like who's in the background. That'S why so the very first and most important thing that you need to install your jet extensions are your dread extensions, and so these I got from tidal dreads. I will link all of her information in the description. These are a custom set and, as the title suggests, they are double ended. Dreads. The second most important thing that you need when installing our rubber bands, a different type of bands that I've never tried. But I've heard it's also really good orthodontics elastics. So that's kind of the little things that go in braces and you never really know how many you're gon na need. When you start good, guess is exactly how many dreads that you have, but sometimes you might use two rubber bands on one dread extension as I will cover the next thing that you will need are combs or a brush. Also, if you do brush your hair, one thing that is super helpful that I found is specifically a metal tip, sectioning comb, if you just have kind of like this end of a comb that will work, but this works a lot better and is a lot easier. Next, what you'll need are hair ties for sectioning and then a variety of different clips for holding your hair back and keeping everything neat. One type of clip that I found to be extra useful is this type of alligator clip that kind of adjusts its size to what it is holding. This was sent to me by Sammy synthetics with my pure Gor custom dreads set, and I've used it pretty much. Every time I installed red since next, if you are using one or I'd like to try one out a product to help you braid the one that I use is Giovanni's wicked texture. So some of you have probably seen this in my hair transformation videos over the past kind of year and a half I'm like 99 % sure that it is vegan. It is definitely cruelty free and I also use it for keeping my ear tools straight and then also what I have is a mirror. So some of those things are a little bit optional. That'S just what I have with me around me. Every time they install dreads. Alright, so now we are finally ready to get into the official step-by-step how to install double and energetic sanction in this tutorial. So the very first thing that I do after straightening, my hair and gathering up all my materials is, I Section. Then I will come through my rope and I will get my sectioning comb and I will create my first section, the ban. Once I have my first section, I like to clip the rest of the road back, I do this just so that I don't pick up any hairs that aren't a part of this section when I am braiding next step. Is I split this in half to get two equal sections? Then I take my tread and I think about which end I want my hair to braid down. So if I want to braid down this end of the dread, I will place this end first like here. So that it will lay against my scalp - and I put the loop right up at the top of this section - and I flip this end there and I clip it to keep it in place all the times. Your judge will try to flip and turn over. Try not to let them do that, but the next step that I do is I take my two sections and I cross them over right below the bend or the loop and I hold them down and what a lot of people will do is they will just Start braiding, but I have found that that method is not as secure, and so this is why we placed our dread. This way, you take your ends and you flip it over. So it's laying like normal and then you take your two sections and I like to put my finger on the bend to press it forward and I twist the two sections behind the bend as much as you can behind it, and then you wrap it under. I lift up the dread with both my fingers or one of them, and then I bring this one under hold the dread in place, and then I bring this other section under that one. So that is my preferred method for starting off the install. I learned this from Tess from Tasmania TV. She is the one that taught me how to install dreads and that twist behind and around will keep your dread it closer to your scalp for longer a lot of people. Unfortunately, they will install their dreads and then just after a few days, the dreads will slip down and they'll have a bunch of loose hair at their scalp and it's really frustrating. But this is a way to help. Not have that, and so at this point of installing is where you can choose from a few different methods for braiding. There are two main ways that you can braid dread extensions into your own hair. The first is the regular braid. The second is the blanket stitch, braid or method. I generally prefer the regular braid I like how that looks a lot better, but a lot of people use the blanket stitch method because it is a more secure install and if you have really long hair, it's a way to not worry about running out of dread And it's also a way to keep the majority of your regular hair up at the base of the dread and not coming down. So, for example, if you are hairy that you're installing on does not match the color of the dreads, it's kind of an easy way to hide that what I've usually found myself doing is using a mix of both, but the first one that I'm going to show. You is the regular braid, and so once you're here, if you don't know how to braid, please look up how to braid, because I'm not a good teacher when it comes to this kind of stuff um. I'M just gon na be like do this and bring this under this one, but what you're actually going to be doing is doing a regular type braid with the dread extension as the third strand. So now what I do is I bring this middle section over the dread bring the dread under that other one bring the middle one over and then the middle over. I think, okay, this is really hard for me to explain. Essentially, I'm just bringing over-under over-under cetera, and I'm just doing this all the way down the dread, really fun and interesting all right. So once you have braided all of your hair down the length of the dread, then I pinch the two ends together. I grab my rubber band and what I like to do is I twist the two ends and then lay them flat with my thumb against the dread. Hopefully, you guys are understanding this, because you probably can't see it and then I bring in the rubber band down as far as I feel comfortable and then just start wrapping it and so for this dread. I only need one rubber band, because my two strands ended in the same place. If one of your strands runs out and you still have a length of hair on one section of your braid, then sometimes what I do is, I will tie it off where one section ended and then take the longer section of hair that is still left split. It and keep braiding and then tie it off again when that one ends. So that is how you install dreads with the regular braid method. Next, we will do the blanket stitch method and just as a forewarning, I am not that good at it. When you do it, you try to be as neat and precise as possible. I have never really cared enough to be super neat and precise, but let's get started so I have my section I comb it through and then I will cut it in half and then, since I want to braid down this end, I lay the opposite and against My scalp, with the loop right up the edge of the section flip this back clip it in place grab my two sections cross them at the base of the dread right below the bend hold the sections tight flip. The other end back over grab the sections again. Keeping them tight, bend the dread forward twist your sections behind pick the end up or lift it up and bring one section around and then twist the other section under it. Now we are ready to make our blanket stitch braid, and so what we will do is essentially, we will only wrap the middle strand around the dread. What you want to do is you want to lay each wrap around right next to the previous one, so wrap around cross over. So now you have the middle section again, which is the previously left side section, wrap it around getting right up, close to put previous wrap around and then bring the left side section under middle wrap around right up next to the previous one left side comes to The mill and you just keep doing that all the way down. So, as you can see, this is creating a very different look. You have this cool little dealio here. So let's continue with our blanket stitch braid. So, as you can see, this braid is way shorter down the dred compared to the regular braid. It is less than 1/2 the length it's could have even been shorter because I was not as neat as I should have been, but ultimately it's personal preference. What you want to do, although the blanket stitch method is supposed to be more secure, sometimes what I will do is do a mix of both. Sometimes one of my strands gets longer than the other, as I'm braiding and so I'll kind of start to wrap that one around and the blanket stitch method to kind of get it to be the same length again or sometimes. If I don't want my braid to go all the way down I'll kind of do like a half and a half as I go down just to get the braid shorter, but to still have the kind of crisscross look if that makes sense, that is it. That is how you install double ended: dread extensions using the braiding method. I should have mentioned this at the start, but I didn't, but hopefully the title kind of implied that there are other methods as opposed to the braiding method for installing dread extensions. So, if what I described here today in this video, it doesn't seem like it will work for you. Please do look up the other methods they're out there. There are videos out there blogs tutorials out there, there's so much information. Hopefully everything was clear. I know that sometimes I struggle to actually explain what I'm doing one doing it and if there's anything that I mentioned, that you'd want more detail on comment down below and let me know - and I can make it more dedicated video about it. And I'd also like to give a huge thank you to tidal drugs for making the dreads that I am installing in this video, don't forget to check out all her stuff. She makes really good quality, smooth and crochet double ended and single ended, dreads and I'm so excited to finish this install and do have it all in and if you are also excited about this and want to see what it looks like go check out. The hair transformation, video that I have for this another thing that I wanted to mention that has to do with how tight or loose you do install your dreads. If you have it too tight that can cause irritation on the scalp that can show up as tension bumps, but those are our little often red bumps on your scalp around your section, and that is from your hair being pulled too tight. I learned about this from Sammy from Sammy synthetics and she says that people often mistake them as an allergy reaction, but what it can be is just they were installed too tight and it's showing up as tension bumps on your scalp. So, basically, don't do anything that hurts that's uncomfortable or that is really pulling on your scalps and strut. Extensions are not a one-time use thing. You can take them out and redo them. You can adjust them. You definitely don't have to worry about getting it right. The first time, because you can just take them out and redo them and then, lastly, if you have any recommendations yourself or if you have any tips or tricks or things that I did, that I shouldn't be doing or that I should be doing differently. Please comment them down below so that everybody else can see them too. I want this to be a information sharing place where we can all learn and grow together and learn from each other, and so I know that there are a lot of you out there that have some really good tips for us. So don't be afraid to comment, because I want to hear them, I'm so sorry that this update took me so long to do, but I'm finally doing it and I hope that you guys enjoyed it. I hope that it was helpful. I hope that it's useful, don't forget that you can follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook I'll have links in the description and feel free to subscribe. If you're not already. Thank you so much for watching and I'll talk to you guys later bye,

ch527kerosene: There are about 50 other install tutorials out there for the braiding methods!! So if what I'm saying doesn't make sense, please do some searches and watch more videos on this!! And check the description for A TON of extra info I couldn’t include in this vid. I'm not super happy with how this turned out, so I'll be making more in-depth vids for you guys soon! Also, if you’re installing for the first time make sure to be patient! My first install took me 6 hours as I figured everything out, but now I have it down to about 3 hours (depending on how many I have :p). Just keep with it and take breaks if you need to. And have some music on or something to watch while you work! <3

Mintyoreos: So I didn't know I was doing a mix of 2. I was just braiding the top like a blanket stitch then sometimes doing the more loose weave of braid for the look.

Melissa Moonfire: I'm now 40 VERY MUCH looking forward to getting my 1st ever set. This look is beautiful and I like how the hair is rapid around the extension, less damage to the owners hair itself. Wicked cool! ^♡^

Jd Ck: Excellent presentation/demonstration, clear, concise and good sound quality. Thank you, has given this 60 year old confidence to try and put my own in :)

Shannon Kitchens: Hey girl! I just made my own set of dreads and i love them so much! Kept them in for 3 weeks and now i feel like i have 4 hairs to my name!(because of the density difference it didnt make my hair come out) Thank you for your videos they have really helped me! I am a hairdresser and they didnt teach dreadlocks in school so ive had to come to youtube for that and you have really helped! Keep up the good work!

KreeZafi: I'm waiting for my order of my first-ever dreads to arrive, and this is very helpful for when I'll be braiding them in :) Especially the part about "securing" the dread first, I've never heard of that before but I'm glad I found out about it in time! Now I just need to find some of those rubber bands, it proved harder than I thought... (Unless I want to pay for overseas shipping - I live in Sweden)

Deanna Johnson: I don't have dreads, but I'm fascinated by other creating their style! Super informative and inspiring. The blanket stitch reminds me of making friendship bracelets as a kid... just on your head and with a greater purpose! Absolutely rad! x

ThreepwØØd: years of doing a job in this field, but i cannot figure out for my life why your face is so fascinating and pleasing to the eye

Kiera.Chameleon: This was an awesome & easy to follow discription on how to install your basic double-ended dreads. I think you did an awesome job explaining, and everything you said was perfectly clear. I'm 23 and this was one of the easiest tutorials I have ever seen, loved it. You're adorbs too!

Kessy: You inspired me to get my own synth dread extensions bit over a year ago. I've had 3 sets since, got a custom one on it's way to my in the post now. My main tip: With braiding, if you're careful with the angle you braid at you can get them almost as close together as the second method you showed (does require a fair bit of tension though). Stay awesome ♡

Kassondra Joy: This is a great tutorial, regardless of if you think you're bad at "this sort of thing" [haha] or not! Have saved and will definitely be using for help whenever I do mine! But, I'll probably do the blanket-stitch because my hair goes almost to my hips!!! Thanks for the help hunny!

Holly Golightly: Girl you rock After waiting months, I received my DE dreads from Ukraine and with your guidance I successfully installed several last night! And I am so happy I did! The first extension came out okay, the second one was terrible, but by the third one I was rockin it. Thanks for your help! ;o

Dogatech: Thanks for this tutorial! After watching this video and your Do's and Don'ts I was able to install them quite well on my first try! Have always wanted to try this and I finally was able to and it looked amazing! One thing I learned that you should mention sometime (which you may have already done in a different video) is that the direction you lay down the dread is the direction you should expect it to hang. I installed one direction with the expectation that I'd flip it to the other, which didn't go smoothly, but I still made it work. Either way, these videos were super informative and easy to follow. Thanks!

Squeaky Toy Records: This is a great video! Wish I would have seen it last year when I started installing my lover's double ended dreads. I will try both the blanket braid and the installation method. Thank you for your service.

Helena Celin: Your videos helped me a lot to understand many things about dread extensions. Also when I first had dread extensions I watched your videos so there I figured out how many extensions I needed, how to section my hair and how to braid them . Thank you a lot, I still have my dreads and they look fabulous thanks to your advices !

Sibby_Wych: I tried the first wrapping method for the first time whilst installing a set of dread extensions and I think it's going to be my new go-to, Its so simple and comfortable. Before I was securing the top of the dread with a band then braiding and I found after a couple of days I was shedding bands everywhere and had major dread-slip. So thank you. :) I love watching your videos, Keep up the great work x

Noora Tirkkonen: I love these dreads soo much!! So gorgeous! And i like the first braiding method better. But when you said you mix two methods together it might be really nice to see how you just do it. Really good tutorial. (:

Carla Garrett: Really great HOW TO video. Thanks. At 53, I decided it was time my grey hair have additional dreads. I have to say, you are very confidant, and well spoken.

Piper: Great tutorial! So easy to understand and follow along. Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful talents with us! Peace and love.

Louise Mills: Thank you so much for explaining this I put DE synths in my mum's hair last night and the top dread kept flipping open and not sitting right! She's getting some different coloured dreads in a few weeks and I'll be installing those for her so fingers crossed I actually get the technique right this time xxx

A Canadian Perspective: I have been looking up videos all day how to do this. Yours is the closest to what I do with wool extensions, and definitely the best video I have found to date. Good job. Thank you. Question, about how many dreads does it take to do your entire pink section ?

Mia Salyers: Just ordered my first set of DE dreads! Cant wait until they arrive! Your tutorial for this install looks fairly simple! I’m curious on the time it will take me to install. I think I’m just doing half hair underneath if that makes sense too half and bangs left out. But I did order enough to do full head. I have shoulder length thick hair.... definitely going to be a weekend project

Claire Brandenburg (Eight Impalas): You’re awesome! I’m getting ready to do this for my daughter, you explained it very well!

learn with lola: Thank you! I'm honestly excited to use/have dreads for the 1st time. I always wanted them as a kid and this video is so helpful

Heather Huber: Super helpful! I've had years of full dreads and I took em out/cut em off like 2 years ago. Recently I decided since I'm not working in the field anymore that I was, now I made some woolies and am going to install soon.. but decided to see how other ppl do it! This was very helpful

nix m: I've never had dreads but I'd love to try it! When you brade these in how long do you usually leave them in for? And how hard is it to un-braid or remove? Sorry for all the questions, I want to know as much as i can before getting a set to try them myself

Bone Dead Heathens: Just subscribed!! I've installed my dreads twice and they have slipped in a few days, I appreciate the extra step in the braiding to help prevent this! You're very informative & I love your hair & dreads!!

alrightalysa: this takes so much patience its amazing how well you do this!!!

Fenris of Inle: Dude! Thank you! I've been doing my own hair and making dreads for almost 20yrs and I'm still learning. That extra step before you actually braid them in, works so much better. On top of, I watched a different video and you say that you'll never install them with wet hair again and you explained why.....I never even thought about that. So with my dreads I just reinstalled, I used a water based product and also used the extra step before braiding. And I prefer the blanket stitch braid....but like you said, which ever works better for you. But my head isn't as sore after the first few days and I can tell the install is tighter and is gonna last longer. Thank you again!

Xaforn: This explains what I was seeing other people with long hair doing, love when it all comes together. Great video

Alona Ska: Love ur tutorial.. Simple and easy too understand on how too wear the extension

Morbid Mary: Fantastic!! I can't do my own hair but do allot of friends, I used an old style from earlier 2000 to do dreds and I thought it was time to learn a new method. Thank you so much!! This uses less product and had a much better finish than what Ive done :) my only question is if you know of any way to do this without rubber bands?

Gray Galaxies: I don't have dreads. I don't go to raves. I have nothing in common with her, I can't even braid. These videos are so satisfying though.

Tannis Johnson: Love this! I apply my dreads with the braiding method it works perfect for me I made a video on applying dreads as well I do mine a little different ill have to try that twist you did! Love that!

Christi Cyngier: Love the trick to start it how you flip it and that whole thing! Thanks girl! Works great!

Salvador Garcia: I keep watching your videos and you've motivated me to grow my hair out long enough so that i can buy dread extensions

Amber M.: Thank you for sharing, I just got my first set of dreads and I'm super excited to install them!!!

Victoria Massey: I used to use synth dreads to help grow my hair out. I would apply cocoanut oil or castor oil in between my sections and dry shampooed if it got too oily. But after the first 2 months (took them out after 3 weeks left them out for a week to allow hair breathing and put them back in) my hair grew like an inch and a half because the weight of the dreads gently pulled my natural hair, and I’d massage my head while I flipped my hair upside down or off the edge of the bed for proper “blood flow” and all the contributing factors of the dreads weight, cocoanut or castor oil (natural hair growth stimulus) and the massaging all helped my hair grow. I watched your original instal vid whilst putting my first set in lol

Log An: Thank you so much ☺️! Very informative instal! You’re hair beauty tutorials are wonderfully done ✅ and I am understanding perfectly. Thanks for the tips & tricks!

WesternHorseRider: Thank you sm for posting this!! I’m getting my first dread set in a few weeks and I’m soooo excited

Mystify: LOVE all your videos, so helpful and unique. Thank you!

Chicken Fam: Thank you so much for uploading! Thanks to your videos, I help my sister install her dreads c: You're the best! Much Love!~

Persefone Rest In Peace: Thank you for teaching me a new way to install the dreads

FairiesOfDarkness: Yep, at first glance this sounded hard to pull of. But it's how I installed my dreads this time and I got used to it fairly quick. Seems like the best method to me, and it feels good on my head! Although I still do have some trouble sleeping.

Nova Tay: You are the ONLY person that has actually taught me how to do it! Thank you so much.

Leonor C.: Do you have a method to divide your hair so you use X amount of dreads? I’m thinking of doing my own rebraiding when time comes but am afraid of using up all the braids before I run out of hair Any tips? Thanks!

Maggie Bodle: I have a question about the double ended dreads! Have you ever installed single dreads with loops at the top? Do you find that you use less dreads when you do the double ended ones, than when you do the single ones? I'm about to order my first full set and they are pricy, they're double ended so I am struggling deciding how many to order!

Bre Riley: They're called (metal or just regular) rattail Combs btw! Also I love your hair w or without dreads

Wolfgirl: Thank you! this was really easy to follow and you dont hide what you were doing from the camera. THANK YOU!

Familyluv#1: You did a great job explaining. I liked that too about securing them better. Thank you so much. I get my dreads threw Doctored locks. I will check out your sorce as well. The little blue and pink dread is adorable.

Erika: very helpful, it was so much easier for me :) thank you for this video :)))

A K: This is awesome ! I want a few scattered dreads but bc I'm in the medical field I can't keep them in.. so this is an awesome video for a more temporary method ! You are awesssommmeee !

Rebecca Stone: It definitely makes sense, understood completely. my hair is sooopa fine but masses of it, it doesn't matter if it's wet/dry/clean it's always really slippy. I need to put a tiny rubber elastic in and thread the loc underneath it, then when I begin to twist as you suggest in a way that covers it up. Also, when I section I hold the hair outstretched and move it in a wide circle to make sure there are no snags that will be painful. I'm a half dread, behind the fringe to the crown of my head installer {(I'm older and can't rock a death hawk or cyber dreads so they are black like my own hair)and being really neat stops the bottom of my hair getting caught up and trapped in the dreads. I also suggest for half dread installs to pin or tie your dreads up away from the rest of your hair before bed and use a satin pillow!!! that really lessons tangles. Big love! you are always really informative (even when you insist you're not) TONS OF FUN and have the easiest to follow installs. From an X raver....your soundtracks BANG! XXX

your sleep paralysis demon: after watching your gore locks video earlier I made my own faux locks out of red yarn and used four, two in front two in back

Vivian Lee: Omg I’ve been looking for a video just like this for hours I’m glad I found this❤️

Tessa K: I've been interested in getting braids like this since I was in high school. I never got any, and kind of glad I didn't, because that just looks like too much work for me lol. I did end up getting REAL dreads when I was 17 and kept them for only about a year and a half. I really miss them, though. Now I'm almost 30 and every time I bring up missing my dreads, my husband says, "NO." haha. Dammit.

Sexy Harley Quinn: I think im going to do regular braiding, to make it easier. And thank you for this video, now i know how to do it when i get my synthetic double ended dreads

Amelia Rose: Girl you know how to do hairstyles on your own wow

VAMPIRELOVER: Just started watching your videos can't wait to do these when I'm older! Your amazing!

charlotte barkham: i just intasll my first de dread extensions after watching your video! Look nice, I hope i've done it well. Thanks for your video !!! <3

Cryptic CannaBee: This is a great reference and this vid taught me way more than a few others I've watched. Cheers! xx

L Bo: Wow!! This must take *forever* !! Idk why I'm even watching this, I'll likely never need this info but I just can't stop watching you!!

Freddie Boi: I really want dreads but I don't have enough bravery. You're so confident and I really love your style.

PRbabies andMDCBK: I wish I was bold enough to get a haircut like this. I love it so much!

Eryn Gabbard: My braids never end up this tight ugh! But I feel like if I keep doing them they will get better so I'm not giving up

Nyctophiliac Angel.: Awesome, I wanted to watch how it was done before getting extensions myself

Yurrin kapai: This is awesome. I planing to install next month I hope it look just like yours

Erin Kemble: Hunny you did such a good job instructing

The Batty Catalyst *Gloom Muladhara*: You should’ve showed us the finished product!! You’re so pretty I love your personality you seem like a real person

littlebambambi: Idk why but I absolutely adore that you’ve kept that mirror through all the years

Ryo Quitay: Her patience for braiding all of those dreads are saaintly.. My eyes (my eyes would always hurt whenever I style my hair and I kept looking at my head like that ) and arms would probly hurt after braiding 1 dread onto my hair. She has to do her whole set. Goodness must be really tiring. Great thing that she loves what she does.

frshsrtmama: How do you care for them after you’re done? How long do they last? Do you get a lot of breakage? ( my hair is thin)

laurynnn yo: This is so dope, I want dreads but I’d probably do it this way for a while before doing the real thing to be sure I like the look of it on me

al: I don't even have dreads why am I watching this

Katsuyo Brown: Thank you so much for this video, I have a very important question. How do you wash them? I just had synthetic Dreads installed three days ago and I just took them out because when I washed them they became so loose I just couldn’t keep them in. I prefer the style that you’re doing here. My hair is more silky like yours. But how long do they last? How do you wash them? Are they going to fall apart when I wash them? Thank you!

Ana: I’m getting dreads. My hair is super long right now. Thank for the video.

dFilippatou: Hello nice video! How long can you keep the dreads on your hair with that kind of methods?

Alex Beley: J'aime ton style ça te va vraiment très bien, tu es toujours aussi ravissante

C: What you're doing is actual braiding, Other people are doing a dumbed down version of it. I found yours to be the easiest and recommended it to my friend!

Richard Geer: Confident, talented, and just beautiful with an amazingly unique style all her own

please ignore this is my old account: I'm a decora and I love cyber fashion and I want to incorporate it into what I wear, can't wait to try this!

Marion Winnubst: Do you (or anyone else maybe) know any good tutorial videos for installing DE dreads on a full head of hair instead of your deathhawk installs? I really love your style and your videos but I would like to see how you install on the sides of your head and how sectioning works :) I have been wearing dreads for years but getting ready to install some thick DE dreads by myself for the first time :)

Maria Júllia Nucherin Santos: I don't even have dreads but i just love watching your videos

atreadia: The metal tip comb is also called a rat tail comb

Heather Mitchell: Hey I absolutely LOVE your videos!! is the process of installing is braiding or crocheting? Or what are the methods called?? Thanks!

Antonia Dyas: Thank you sooooo much this video helped me so much

StephyWephy: I'm thinking about doing this... I've had dreads two times in my life and I miss them, but I don't want the hassle of new growth dreads. How long can you keep these in?

No O: Uy! Definitivamente debo hacerlo, obviamente en otros colores jaja

Taskuamatsooni: This is a style I would love to try!

Jenny Hegstad: Thanks this helping a lot . I did my 16 year old granddaughter hair .she loves it .we saved so much money

Nichelle Bunce: I installed mine for the first time and the two sides are laying far apart and it's REALLY irritating. My hair is quite short so it's difficult to do either of the methods in this video. I was basically whinging it. It took me so long to put them in that honestly I don't have the motivation or energy to fix the ones that are already slipping. I'll just have to try another method next time and see if that helps. :)

Lisa McDougall: Roughly how long do these last in the hair and what do you do to take care of them ?

Jose Guytan: She’s hella pretty and she don’t even need makeup this girl is a natural beauty

Ebenézer Aparecido Neves Silva: Ola... Não sei o seu nome porem este foi um dos melhores videos seu que eu vi... Me tirou duvidas essências... Parabéns você e bem dinamica em suas explicações... Valeu...

Psycho Annie: So cool ,I'm going to try it

Puppylove 123: I use bands I got from those bracelet making looms i had as a kid back when those where popular. And because of that I got glow in the dark bands so that’s pretty cool

Jade Barao: Would you say Tyto dreads are your favorite brand? I’ve never really put anything into my hair except dye. Lol but I really want to try some dreads out. You’ve persuaded me. Also persuaded me to go through a death hawk phase. Haha, much love to you. (Btw, EDC Ls Vegas?:)

Him3ko: Helped me a lot, thank u soo so much <3

Kaley Gilchrist: I have been going through a lot of people’s videos of like talking about synthetic dreads and I have so many questions that I can’t find any answers to so maybe someone here can answer them, 1: does doing synthetic dreads damage your hair? 2: I want to get long ones (22 inch I think) and I found a website called doctoredlocks and I was wondering if anyone has used them and if they are good 3: I don’t have a lot of money to spend on super expensive ones and I don’t want to get very expensive ones and then not like them so I plan to just get basic ones and since I’m buying them online and I’ve never done it before idk how much I need 4: I don’t have any part of my hair shaved and my hair goes about to below my bra would I need to cut my hair for this to work? 5: I’m afraid people might get offended by me wearing dreads and I really like them but I might be too scared to get them. Do you have any advice on how to not be? I have a lot more questions but this is all I need for now someone please help!!
