Retro Barbie Hair Using Zala Clip-In Ponytail Extension

What'S up you guys, it's your girl, angela and welcome back to my chanel and to another hair, tutorial, lazy, girl edition. Today we are going to be doing probably one of my favorite hairstyles. You guys have seen it on my instagram a bunch of times. It is my flipped out ponytail retro, look before i got this zollo ponytail. I was doing the half up half down version of it to kind of make it look like a ponytail, because my hair wasn't long enough, but now that i have a ponytail, i can actually do a proper ponytail and i think it's so cute. Take me as i am my hair is super filthy right. Now it's practically standing up on its own. It has an enormous amount of gel hairspray. I don't even know what else i did go out last night. So there's a lot of things that could be in there, but we're gon na work with what we got, because this hairstyle is the perfect hairstyle to rock when your hair is as disgusting as mine. So let me show you what you need. First of all, a nice rat tail comb for the part would be absolutely perfect. A hair tie some clips or bobby pins of your choice. I i like i just dropped like three of them, but i like these to secure the wraparound portion of the pony. I also use the i'm just dropping all of them. I also use these hair pins, which kind of just stick into the pony. You don't need these, but i just like some extra hold, so i have them. I also have my edge gel. My edges are still pretty good from last night, but we'll just touch them up some hairspray, if you're feeling nasty and a hair straightener, and there will probably be more things that i use throughout this video, because i don't typically lay out everything in front of me When i'm doing my hair, i kind of just grab things as i go, but this is a good start, so first step is have disgustingly, filthy hair. Next, i'm going to part my hair, where i want my part now. Sometimes i do this ponytail with a part. Sometimes i just slick all my hair back today, i'm going to do a part. I think i want to start it right about here and i'm going on a diagonal that looks that looks pretty good okay and then i'm just going to oh, my hair is so crispy. I had so much gel in it last night - oh my god, and then, where that section meets the top of my ear. I'M just going to guide it down and it doesn't have to be perfect because this part is going to be kind of like slicked down and back so you're not going to see the part over here. But next i'm just going to tie up the rest of my hair very, very quickly just to get it out of the way, and so it doesn't mesh with this hair in the front. Where is my brush see? I forgot a brush, that's what i'm talking about. So i like to use a brush or a comb that has bristles like this to smooth down my hair and that's exactly what i'm going to do. I'M just going to brush this down and what i like to do is instead of like. I have a weird head shape by the way. I think that's important to note for this video. I have a very weird head shape so, like i can't just put it behind my ear like that, because that looks weird. What i do is, i swoop it down to the front a little bit and then gently guide it back. So let me show you what i'm talking about so i'm going to take some gel. I take a lot of gel actually and i'm just going to literally saturate this section, okay, because we really want this to. We really want this to stay slick and not be frizzy and just be really smooth. So, okay, i'm gon na comb it or brush it. I should say kind of to the front and then, instead of like pulling it directly back behind my ear, i'm just like swoop, de-dooping it and holding the hair. I don't know if you guys could tell what i'm doing but just holding the hair so that it kind of covers part of my face. Like i love that look, i love the look of like a bang type of situation. I'M just gon na fix all the bumps, and then you should have something that looks something like this okay. So this is going to be like the foundation of our look, and then i am just going to take these clips and just clip that right at the base of my neck and forget about it. Next is time for the actual pony. Now this is pretty easy for me today, because my hair has been in a ponytail for like 72 hours, not washed, it literally wants to be in a ponytail, so next you're gon na put the pony wherever you want it, whatever height you want. Sometimes i put it literally at the tippy top of my head, but today i'm gon na go a little bit further back and put it right about here. Okay, so now that my pony is in - and it kind of looks cute like this - even without extensions but whatever now it's time for the fun part, this is my zala 16 inch, human hair, ponytail extension. I forgot the exact shade name, i'll put it on the screen and down below as well all links and all info about this ponytail will be down below, but it just has this comb right in the middle that sticks to the middle of my ponytail. So then, i'm going to take my ponytail and just dig the clip into the base of my pony and push it in as far as it'll go and that's where she's in and then wrap around this little section of hair that i sectioned off. For you all. The way around and i'm just going to secure it with a clip and then you should have something that looks like this, and this is very cute, but i do want to flip out these ends just a tad for the added effect. This is where my straightener comes into play. In the meantime, i'm gon na take my got to be glued blasting freeze spray. I told you i was gon na grab more stuff along the way. So i don't see, i didn't, warn you and i'm just going to hit the entire almost of the entire base of my head, but everything except the ponytail, the ponytail isn't yet um just to make sure everything is shiny, sleek and literally glue down to your head, Because that's what we want, we want this to look like plastic just kidding. We don't want that. We want to look like hair, but we want to like not move. Okay, because you know when you do your hair, you go outside and then one little of wind hits you and your hair is like we're not dealing with that. So now that my straightener is prepped and ready to go, i didn't have to straighten my natural hair because it's hidden within the ponytail. So that's also really nice, i'm just going to take small sections of hair and just glide my straightener down ever so gently and then just flip up up flip up the ends like so initially. When i first do it, i like to make them super swoopy because they will fall, it's not just with these extensions, my natural hair as well, so i make them extra dramatic, because i know that as it cools it'll, you know go down a little bit. So this is human hair, so it is safe to use heat on it, which is again amazing. I like to do different styles, with my hair and just being able to use heat to it and protect my own hair from heat is amazing, and that is it. My loves, that's how i get my flipped out, barbie hair.
