Affordable $12 Sleek Ponytail | Model Model Quick Wrap Weave Ponytail In Coastal Wave

Hey guys welcome back to my channel it's yale and michelle, and in today's video i'm going to be showing you guys how i get this super cute, sleek ponytail um. This ponytail is really long, but it's super cute. This is going to be like my valentine's day. Hair um really super easy, like this is by the brand model model. This is their pony pro quick, wrap, weave, ponytail um, it's in the texture, coastal wave 24 inches and in the color 2., so it even is um up to 400 degrees safe for the curling iron. So if you want to curl this hair as well, you can but yeah um. I picked this up. It was only like what 11.99 super cheap yeah. It was only 11.99 super cheap, so we're just gon na hop straight into the tutorial. If you're not already subscribed to my channel go ahead hit the subscribe button turn my post notifications. So you are aware, when i post and let's get into it - okay, guys so starting off, i'm starting on freshly washed hair and i'm just going to part my hair down the middle. Now i am a very thick haired girl, so i have to work in sections or else everything will fail. So i'm splitting it down the middle, because i want a middle part for this ponytail and i'm just going to split one half of my head and start working on the other half, so i'm going to be using this wet lining stream gel this is the blue One - and i usually use this for when i slick my hair and then i'm also using a tangle, teezer brush. I found that for us, kinky haired girls um to be able to get those tangles worked out and really slick your hair down. I found that the tangle teezer helps a lot right before i use my board bristle brush to really slick it so to get those tangles and to get it be able to lay flat, i'm going to be using the tangle teezer. So super super helpful and i'm just working it through with the gel and then i'm going to take my scrunchie and kind of um just put that away because that's one half of the head, like i said i can't work on all one half at one time, Because my hair is so thick, so i'm just going to repeat the process to the other side, i'm taking that wet line gel applying it to my hair and then i'm going to be smoothing my hair with the tangle teezer and then i'm going to take both Sections of my hair and i'm going to be able to put it into one low ponytail now, because if i tried to do all this just all in one and not sectioned, it would be so hard to slick my hair because it's so thick. So i found working in two sections always is most helpful, so i'm taking two scrunchies, so i can be able to put all this thick hair into one. So as you guys can see, i'm putting it all in one now. So that's how i'm able to get my hair, nice and slick, because any other way is gon na, be the struggle girl. It'S gon na, be the struggle so now that everything's down period i had to put in that arm work arms was tired girl. So i'm going in with this instant control gel this is going to help with flyaways really help to smooth down my hair. So i like the wet line, because it's very like i don't know it has almost like slip, so i can work the gel through my hair and then when i want to set everything in so there's no flyaways. I use the instant control because it's more of a thicker gel, so i'm just going ahead, i'm placing that on top of my hair and then i'm taking the boar bristle brush, i was telling y'all about and then i'm going to be able to really just slick Everything, so you see the thick hair problems like got put a little bit extra work a little bit of extra product. You know a little more work, but we got it. It'S looking slick, love that so i'm using my lavish curls mango moisture twisting growth butter. This is from my hair collection, lavish curls and i'm using this to help moisturize my ponytail. I don't need my ponytail being all super dry. I need my hair to retain length while it's in this ponytail, so i'm just applying some of that to it and i'm going to put my hair in two braids, because once again my hair is super thick. I can't do one braid i got ta. Do two little braids, so i can be able to put it in one low bun before we go ahead and put the ponytail on. So i'm just wrapping that around and i'm doing it kind of downwards. Because since it's a ponytail you got ta kind of make. The bun go downwards and not stick straight out, because then your your um ponytail is going to look bulky. So now, i'm just going ahead and laying my edges down and i'm using that same instant control, gel to lay it down um and yeah. Just smoothing out these edges y'all, i haven't done like a low ponytail in a while almost felt like. I couldn't, because my hair has gotten so much thicker, but i'm still able to do it, but i just got ta. Do those sections like i said but yeah? I'M just getting my baby hairs to how i like it and then i'm going to tie my hair down. First, i'm tied it down for probably about good 15 minutes after that 15 minutes i'll go ahead and just take it off. But if you really want like no flyaways use, some got to be um spray to spray your whole head, um to help with flyaways, don't use gorilla, gel or gorilla snot or whatever. Whatever that girl did gorilla glue, don't be like gorilla, glue girl and do that. But yeah you can use some got to be spray now this is the hair. I was telling you guys about it's in coastal wave, it's like 26 inches and i'm just going to be taking that clip. That'S on the very end of it and you can see it's made like a weft and then also there's a part where it's attached, where you can wrap it around. So i'm just going ahead clipping that in on the bun and then you have to start wrapping it all around just the same type of technique as you would with any regular weave weft and then i'm taking that little part that they have where you can actually Wrap the base of the ponytail around and i'm going to wrap it around, and i did use a little bit of extra bobby pins for extra security because i just felt like it needed to be more secure, so yeah. I feel like um. This hair might look better if i would have had my real hair straightened, because my hair is so much more textured or if i had looser hair texture, it would have looked a little more blendable.
