Preping Natural, Grey Hair For Ponytail Styles #2022

In this video I prep my natural grey hair for a smooth polish looking pony tail.

Hello and welcome to my pretty gray hair channel in today's video, i'm going to show you how i prep my natural hair for a ponytail style. Now, if i was just gon na wear it like down like this to the side, i still would take a couple of steps that i normally do, because i just want everything to be smooth. I don't want to just gel my hair and put it in a ponytail. I just feel like that. Just would actually drive me crazy, because i want i want to calm everything through. I wanted to be healthy and just manageable and you could just like i said, put put it on the side and then slap some ponytail slap, some gel on there. I'M sorry and it will look fine. But i like i'm a perfectionist and i want my hair to be healthy. I want to comb out all the um, the hair, that's shedding, because you know you look. You use lose 80 to 100 strands of hair a day and my hair has been up for a week, so i want to comb everything out and just it make to me. My hair will just be more healthier like that, and it's like a complete polished, professional look in style. Okay, so i'm gon na get started. I'M gon na show you the products. Of course, i'm gon na use. My love oil and i'm gon na speak a little louder in case you can hear my air conditioner in the background, so i'm going to use about eight pumps of this eight to ten pumps of my love, oil and it's clear, the oil i just want to Get it all over my hair, this is the driest and most problematic part of my head. Is this middle part? It'S thicker right there, so i try to make sure i get a good saturation on there and now i'll skim ready to spray with, but i want to show you what it is. First, this is a leave-in conditioner and i love it. You guys by a firm and it's called moisture right. I love this as you'll see. I have not pre combed, my hair. I just got out the shower, as you can see, i'm still um water is kind of dripping on me, but i like to. I don't want it to dry out. I like to start when my hair is damp because it just makes the styling process, especially on natural hair. It makes your hair your hair is softer in this day. If you try it out, it's gon na, be it's gon na be hard, and it's gon na just uh, like i say, make it harder for you to glide for the comb to glide through in this section right here. I'M gon na put a lot right there. I love this product as you'll see what it does and my hair feels silky, even in a in the ponytail when i gel it. So i'm going to start start from the ends out and if i feel any resistance, then i'm gon na just add more of my leave-in conditioner. But do you see and i have not combed through it like i said for maybe over a week since the last time i shampoo my hair. Now i just want to put more back here in the back just to make it easy: i'm not damaging my hair, because it's soft okay, so what i'll do is i'll, just kind of section it and again i'm going to start from the end. I'Ll put some more on there. That is the hardest part. Is this this middle? Let'S see the more you apply and you can tell how much you need to apply by how easy the comb just glides through your hair, so that this side is pretty good i'll. Come and turn around for that part up there, but i just want you to see this middle part. So again, i'm gon na start from the ends up and if i have any hair coming out, it's okay, it's not because i'm combing it! It'S because i haven't combed it and we lose 80 to 100 strands of hair a day, and if your hair is up, then you're not going to see it if you're not combing it. If you have it gelled up and or braided in a protective style, you won't be able to see that okay, so i want this ponytail to be high. I want it to be hot, so i'm going to put a little more leave-in conditioner, because i just wanted to glide through easily, and i usually do not make long videos this one might be a little longer. However, i'm not going to install the ponytail, i just want to show you how i prep my hair for my ponytail, and i do this. If, if i'm going to have a low ponytail or a high ponytail, i will i will make sure like. I said that i comb it through and as your hair as this hair starts to dry and you don't have any product on there, then it will it'll be hard to do that. So i just want to go through from the ends again. I'M kind of like in the middle now the reason why i wanted to really make this video one of my friends, and i mentioned her in another video when she seen me wear my drawstring. She says i have one of those, but i don't know how to put it on. So i told her that i would make a video and it will help her, and hopefully you viewers also so i'm just gon na wipe my face, i'm sweating and the water from the shower okay. So the next step is applying my gel and excuse me using the eco style, and this is um. They said maximum hole 10 so because i use that love oil and i can put a little more because i just want to show you guys, especially up here on top it will help it, so it won't be so hard okay, so i have it up. Okay and again it's it's wet, so i will start back here in the back and i'm just going to select that drill one. And let me let you see that's how much i have that time. I'M gon na rub it in my hands and then apply it and then i'm gon na take my comb because again i just like for me as a professional hair stylist. I want everything to be smoothed and comb through. I don't like it if just applying gel and then my hair is all tangled up that does just doesn't seem healthy to me and the level helps it. It feels really smooth the love oil and the gel okay. So that's the back! Okay, now i'm gon na have to look in my mirror up here. So i can see. I didn't show you how much, but this is how i do this. That'S how much gel that i'm using and again i
