Sleek Twisted Ponytail On Natural Hair - Natural Looking Ponytail - Was This A Fail? - Naturalsbest

Hi NaturalsBesties! In today's video I have attempted to do a sleek twisted ponytail on my natural hair. Although I feel the ponytail is a natural looking ponytail, this look was a fail for me. What do you think, was this a fail? What could I have done differently? I had fun trying this style and know what I need to do next time to get it the way I want. Thanks for watching!

Hello and welcome to my video, if you are new here, welcome and if you're a returning supporter, thank you in today's video i'm going to be attempting to do a slick back ponytail with added hair. So i did wash my hair and i prepped it. So i just put it tied it back in a ponytail and used the banded method in the back to stretch my hair, just to make it easier to put it back into a slick ponytail. So for this style we'll be using gel some braid hair edge control. A spray bottle an edge brush, a rat tail comb and a brush, and my satin scarf. So if you are interested in watching me, create this style continue to watch the video, but first don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification button so that you're notified each time that i post the video so like i said my hair is freshly washed and what I did was put it into this ponytail and then banded the back of my hair, while it was wet and let it dry that way. This was just to kind of tame my hair, because i do have a lot of hair, so this was just a way to make it easier for me to slick it back into a ponytail for this style. I'M going to take my rat tail comb and just fix my part, i'm going to take my spray bottle and wet my hair only because this makes it easier to smooth my hair back, i'm going to apply my gel and stick my hair back into a ponytail. So now i'm just going to take a ponytail holder and wrap it around the hair. This will make it easier to install the hair to my ponytail. So now i'm going to take the ponytail holder and tie it around my ponytail. So it was at this point that i realized that one i didn't have enough hair and two. My hair was not stretched. My my natural hair was not stretched enough, so it was going to be hard to blend the hair. Together do so, as you can see, i was struggling to braid my natural hair into the synthetic hair and it just was not blending right. Okay, so the struggle was real. Trying to do this style and i almost gave up, but i kept on going, do so guys. Don'T ask me why i thought that putting my hair in a twist and putting my real hair into a bun was going to work. It did not work so on to playing uh c, all right guys, so i added more hair off camera. So this is what you see here. My ponytail is a lot fuller now and in this try i'm going to attempt to just twist my hair instead of braiding it i'm just going to twist it and blend it together. That way, and now i'm just going to take this extra piece of hair that i left out and just wrap it around my ponytail to cover the ponytail holder or anything else that may be showing with the hair that i have added. Okay guys. So after about three different attempts, i finally got my ponytail in and i think it's okay. I think it could be better and i am going to try to get it better for next time, but now i'm just going to take some edge control and lay down my edges a little bit. I'M not going to do anything too fancy, i'm just going to sleep them down a bit and take my edge brush and just brush them down and make them look neat. So i'm going to tie my scarf around my head just to kind of smooth my hair a little bit more and make sure that everything stays in place. I'M going to tie this around my head, leave it on for a few minutes and then i'll, take it off and show you my final results, okay guys. So this is the final look, but you guys, let me know what you think. How did i do? I feel like this is a fail, but there's always next time and now i know what to do for the next time so make sure you thumbs up the video leave a comment down below. If you have any questions. Thank you so much for watching the video i'll see you in the next video bye.

Jade Mark: I love this! That twist is so stunning and it really suits you - It looks so sophisticated too! I wish I could do this to my hair ❤️

Courtney Co: Love this look. This is similar to my go to braid. I will try this twist one next time. It looks so cute & sleek!❤️

clarkfamilyyy: Aww I love how this looks! So clean and beautiful. I love easy subtle hair styles they are the best!

Twila Schell: Love that you show the process + struggles you have along the way! Plan C, I love it. I think your final result was beautiful! I'm sure you'll do even better next time.

Duchess of the Dolls: Love to have the scarf set while I do my makeup then get a fun reveal!! Yes ma’am that big twist is stunning!!! It’s like an elevated Jasmine style!! Def not a fail I thought it was great!

Laundry Talk: It’s nice that you showed your struggle because many of us can relate and see how you overcame it, helps a lot. Plan “C”

Latrice Kelly: I was rooting for you girl! Sometimes success comes through the struggle. You got some thick full hair over there and it just needed some encouragement! ✨✨

Cbstudios Office: As hard as it is to do , the end result is so pretty so it’s honestly worth it ❤️❤️

Life's Sweet Journey: I think this turned out super cute! I love the twist. I like it with the added hair, gives it more body!

Omotola N: Love the ponytail on you looks so good. So beautiful and suits you a lot.

Ushanga Chronicles: May I know how long this style lasted?I've been eager to try this but with my lazyness I would like something that wouldn't last long.I I love how it came out Your hair is so healthy and long as well.

Ole Vucetich: I need to get all those brushes! I only have one style lmao! Your hair it's so beautiful! I have thin hair, I wish I could have a lot like yours! The final result it's amazing! =

Ebony Applonia: It came out really cute! I can relate to the struggle

TerrorSkwad: I dont thing it was a fail. You made it work with what you had. Like you said this was a learning experience so next time you will come back even better. Love that you still posted it even though it didnt turn out they way you originally wanted it too.

DevineEATS: I wish I can do styles like this but I be thinking I got a big head lol. But I probably would of gave up because I be wanting to give up during washed day so I know the struggle. I like how it turned it. It looks so natural. Most women would flat iron they hair just to get that super straight look. But I love the texture showing

Queen of My Curls: The struggle was real. But I think it came out pretty good. I haven't tried this style because I know i would struggle. Natural hair ain't about staying where u put it. Lol

Living for the City: Hmmmm...it looks like that synthetic hair just won't cooperate. Wondering if you should have worked better if the hair itself was closer to your texture. Sometime those bundles look one way in the package then we add them they look completely different. I get so mad when that happens to me. Once you added more hair it really looked good though! Now the real question is how long did you leave that ponytail in?!
