How To Do A Sleek No Frizz Ponytail For Black Girls | Soft Edges No Gel No Wax

The boy is mine. Everyone welcome back to my channel hope. Everyone is good. Today we are doing my sleek a ponytail. So today i decided to start from wet hair. I'M also filming a roux at the same time, pin my mind anyway, um so yeah, i'm going to be showing you guys how i do my sleek ponytail. This is updated. I am one year and two months, three months, natural um. So this is what i look like my the back of my hair is heat damaged because not heat damage color damage because, as you guys can see, i dyed it white. So let's get straight into the video, so just showing you guys, my hair. So you see what i'm working with i'm going to blow dry, my hair with my t3 blow dryer and my much loved tangle teaser. When you are happy with how dry your hair is, you are then going to section to hot comb your roots. Now i don't really like to straighten my whole hair, my whole hair, the entire shaft of hair um. So i do just hot comb, my roots, which allows me to get it really sleek and flat without having to straighten everything. Then i'm going to take my water, hot comb and hot comb just my roots, literally i'm gon na do about three inches from the roots. Now you want to decide where you want your ponytail to be so i can either do it like up like so which i never ever. Do i'm not a fan of this on my face shape, so i tend to just always do my ponytails here and then just tie it and that's going to be the base of our ponytail next up, you're going to want to take your hair and brush your Edges out, you can start to focus on the rest of your hair, so once these are like i know i want them out. I just kind of take them and just like twist them just so they're, not in my way, just like so just so they're out of the way now we're gon na work on the rest of our hair. There are many methods you can use, but i like to use the got to be glued spray. This is a very big bottle that has been through some things um, but i essentially spray and blow dry section by section until i have done everything. So that is what we are about to do for the back. We'Re going to do the exact same thing. Then i'm going to take a leg of old tights, just like leggings, not leggings, stockings tights, whatever you call them and i'm just going to take the front and wrap it around my hair. Now we are gon na work on our edges. You don't have to apply heat on your edges. If you don't want to for this demonstration, i will be applying a little bit of heat on my edges. But again you don't have to do this. I'M gon na go in with my pencil straighteners from kipposi. I got this on amazon and i'm just going to curl my edges. Okay, once that's done, that's all you need. I use my straighteners on 120 degrees, and i also only do this once like if it gets furry. I just use gel like i'm not about to have no edges. Okay, all right for the ponytail. I picked this up in the hair salon. This is the tiffany connect collection, human hair pony in color one - and it just i think it's like about 20 inches um, but it's got a little bit of texture, not as textured as kinky straight but textured nonetheless, and it has a little drawstring inside it's just Much easier to do it this way, i think um, so yeah, so guys what i've done is i've tucked the tracks into the bottom of the drawstring ponytail here is the drawstring and then i'm gon na put it back on my head. I'M going to straighten my ponytail using my t3 flat irons and the final step is to do your baby hairs, so we already curled them. This is what they're looking like and i'm going to take an edge brush and i got to be spray, so you have the option to leave the curls sticking out or you can have them flat. So whatever is your preference? I think i'm going to flatten mine. Be putting a little extra spray on the end and brushing it in, and this is the finished look sleek and perfect.
