High Drawstring Ponytail Natural Hair

What is that in that corner? Why is it so bright over here I'll just ring like glia? What'S up everybody, my name is Arianna and thanks for tuning in today's hairstyle is a little saucy. It'S a little different. You guys already know how I feel about my creative natural hairstyles, and this by far is one of my most favorite and easiest hairstyles out of all of them. If you are new or haven't subscribed, if you haven't, I don't know why, but yeah you should do that. I just feel like this is a 90s type of hair, so it's just so cute and different either 90s or 8. I was born in 96, so I can't really relate because I was still a baby in the 90s, but it just seems like something: that's back from that era, either that or Beyonce at the Met Gala either or so. Let'S just go ahead and jump right into the video, yes, honey, I'm bringing you back from the dead, Oh prep! This is before I started filming my hair is freshly moisturized and you guys I've been slacking for a while. I'Ve been doing review videos and trying out different hair products, and I forgot about my Holy Grail staple products if y'all have been rocking with me since the beginning of time. Y'All already know this is by far my number one favorite curly hair product, and this is Shea Moisture, curl enhancing smoothie. If you guys haven't tried this, I don't know where y'all been, but y'all definitely needs to go pick this up. This is specifically for thick and curly hair, which is me or people that are like 3c envelope. So, like 3c, for a for B down the line, I figured since you guys, like my drawstring ponytail so much last time, I would bring her back. This video was going to be quick and easy because today, like most days, I don't feel like doing my hair, but I want to be cute, so I can take some pictures and get more content out for you guys. So here we go to start like. I want the points out to be like up here like a stupid, high ponytail, and I want there to be a braid that goes in like so so what you want to do is you want to get a little rat tail? Oh, what you want to do is you want to get a rat tail comb like this and find somewhere to start party since its kind of hard for me to see what I'm gon na do. Is I'm gon na start my part from in here and then drag it down to up here instead of starting from here and going up cuz, that's just a recipe for disaster. Let'S see how she is looking. Yes, the next thing that I'm going to do is get the rest of my hair out of the way that way, I can go ahead and focus on the braid and braid it down. What shall I use to do this? That is totally optional, but I would recommend using it because it works amazing in your hair, but I know some people don't like gel and whatever, but I've learned that whenever you're braiding and you want it to be slicked down, especially if you have naturally curly hair, You want to use like the edge control or a gel or something pomade. If you will to like get your hair to lay down for today, I'm going to be using gots to be glued gel. I do have a pomade, but I don't want to use that because normally with the pomade, it's hard for me to wash it out of my hair, but what this is really easy. So I'm just gon na use this and she is almost gone so we're gon na pray to see if I can get something out of you. Mmm I'm gon na have to take the cap and I'm just putting this on my roots. I don't need it on my ends, because there's no point of that, I'm just trying to lay down my roots. Now you want to split off the little section at the front and begin your braid when braiding your hair at the side. You want to keep in mind that you want to keep the braid in the center of the park and to keep it in the center of the part. You need to grab hair from both the left and the right side of your head. Equally, as you're going up the braid, because if you grab too much from one side, the braid is going to not being in the center the way that you want it to look, it's kind of hard to explain, but just make sure that you're grabbing here equally From both sides, as you continue your brain once you finish braiding on the scalp, you want to begin braiding all the way down to the end of your braid, because if your hair is anything like mine, it's really thick and you don't want to end up dealing With a ponytail, that's like really really thick. So if you can reduce the mass of your hair, I would say go ahead and do that. It is now time for the struggle. Lord, I don't know how I'm gon na slick all my hair down right now, especially with it being curly, because I'm not in the mood to really have waves, I'm probably still gon na end up having waves, because I don't have the pomade that I need. This is the pomade that I was talking about and it is Murray's superior, hairdressing pomade. I like this, but I don't like this, like you know how, whenever you put on the edge control and then your edges are laid for like 2 or 3 minutes and then after that, it just curls right back up. This is what this does, but this is literally all I have besides, they got to be and based on the way that my hair feels what the got to be. The pomade is gon na hold it better than the got to be is, but I think it's because my hair is still really wet from the product. So I'm just gon na have to take the El, but I will put up some pictures as well as down below in the description box. I will put some links to products that do hold my edges down very well and those are Murray's edge, wax dang. That'S about it at Marie's, edge, wax ecostyler gel, oh yeah, and this Revlon edge control V. I will put links down below in the description box to all the products that I like, as well as the ones that I'm using in the video. So for now we're just gon na pray. Oh Lord, I'm tired, like I've, said before you always want to comb out your edges before you put your ponytail in place because, most times, if you try to slick your edges afterwards, you're either gon na mess up your style or you're gon na rip. Your edges out trying to get it out of the ponytail. I need a short break after doing that, ponytail, because my arms are so tired. Next step is going to be to try to minimize the pouf on top of your head. Since my hair is very thick. I normally split my hair into and then turn it into two braids with these braids. I try to braid them as tight as possible because again I don't want my ponytail to be bulky because, like luckily the ponytail is curly. But if my pony said were to be straight, I wouldn't want my ponytail to be looking bulky. So, that's why I'm really trying my hardest to braid these ponytails tight with this braid, I'm also going to add, in the tail end of the braid that I've already made going up this leg again, just to minimize the bulkiness of my ponytail, alright y'all, the video Is over, thank you for watching, and I will see you guys in my next video boy. She ain't gettin it back. This is one of the best investments any natural girl can make from the last video. I did not know what the link was to this ponytail and one of my lovely subscribers found it for me and I shouted her out and everything. So I appreciate you: imma put your name on the screen somewhere, because I didn't do my research before filming this video. But yes, I appreciate you thank you for finding the link to this ponytail and for everybody else who had questions on the last video. I'M sorry, but this is the exact same ponytail from last video and I'll put the link at the very top of the description box. All you want to do is take the comb that you see on the inside at the top part of the ponytail and put that over your bun and clip it in in a way that doesn't hurt your head. Oh, this thing is tight and you also want to do the same thing on the backside of the ponytail. Next, you want to locate your elastic band and then slide the little plastic piece all the way up to the ponytail till it's touching the base, and after that, your ponytail should be pretty secure. If you want it tighter you're more than welcome to go ahead and do that, but with the combs and everything is kind of already hurting my head and that's the one thing I don't like about combs, but I like them better than bobby pins. So that's why I prefer drawstring ponytails over just like wrapping bundles around your ponytail. Once you secured the ponytail, you want to take the elastic band and begin wrapping it around the base of the ponytail, so you can hide it to tuck in that elastic band. You do want to go ahead and put a bobby pin in there just to make sure that it doesn't fall out. Your next step would be to section off a tiny piece of the ponytail and then wrap that around the base. That way, you can further hide where the ponytail begins. Since this hair is on braids, I don't really like how it looks when I wrap it all the way around the ponytail till they gets to the end of the piece of hair that I sectioned off, because the ends are like brownish or blond and the root Of the ponytail is black, so it doesn't really match. So what I do is the only section off a small piece and I only wrap it around once or twice. The reason why I've sectioned off the piece of hair from the back side of the ponytail is again to not make the blonde piece show up. You want to space the hair out with your fingers, so it's like really flat, and then you want to take your hairspray and you just want to spritz it, so it stays like fanned out like that. Ladies and gentlemen, we have backtracked, as you can see. I didn't really like how the ponytail was sitting on top of my head, because I put my hair underneath into a bun, and I could still kind of tell that there was a bun, so I'm going to try to figure out how to do this without it. Looking like a bun, so I think I'm gon na leave my hair out like this as far as not putting it in a bun, but I do want to put the ends together. So it's easier for me to manage and I just have a little black rubber band yeah I'm liking this now we're just gon na do the same thing we just did uh-huh I had these hair rings, and these are the same. Hair rings that I used in my bantu knot, video and I'm not entirely sure if they're going to work with this look, but I want to add some type of jewelry on the braid, so we're gon na see. But if it doesn't work I'll just take them off, I have this gold beading wire and I would have used like a string or something like that, but I don't have anything so this is the next best thing and I really just wanted to give my braids Some type of peas ass because, like it's just sitting here like it's cute, but it's not really doing it for me, and I was gon na put the gold rings on there that I used in my bantu knot. Video, but those like. I can't cut them and have to get it to sit around my braid, so I'm just gon na use this instead and all I'm doing is feeding it underneath my braid. So I have the end right here and all I'm doing is like looping it underneath the braid so kind of like if you were doing a sewing and you put the needle under the braid. I'M doing that now I can finally do my favorite part. My edges. Cuz they they not cotton, and I feel like they're gon na bring the whole looks together now, y'all already know: what's up eco, you know. Sometimes you just got ta finesse. The system. If you have seen my previous videos y'all know, I always tell my edges down with the black scarf. Well guess what happened this video? I can't find it so what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na take a do-rag and I'm just gon na like roll. It up like this and I'm gon na tie my edges with this next thing. I'M gon na go do is get some food because I'm hungry - and normally I leave my scarf on for like 10 to 15 minutes, but I kind of want it to be late. So I'm gon na just come back after I eat, which is gon na, be like 30 minutes, and then we can close out the video all right. I am full. I am happy, no longer dehydrated, oh hold up my lips, my lips yep a little more! Oh! Yes, fancy you always save the day: okay, no, it's been, maybe 30 45 minutes or so, and hopefully my edges are finally laid. I'M gon na take this off slowly for dramatic effect. Don'T stick now! Oh, it's really gon na be dramatic. Oh Lord, PU all day is these: are my favourite edges, I'm gon na be honest, but they'll do yes, ma'am we are laid and slayed as you guys can tell.
