How To: Sleek Ponytail With Bang || Extended Ponytail

This is giving real classy ponytails, hey guys, welcome back to another video. If you are new here, my name is shanae. Welcome to my channel, don't forget to like comment and subscribe. So i'm getting straight into this video. My hair is washed, i'm just blow drying it. We will be doing a ponytail, so what i'll be doing? First is combing through my hair making sure there is no tangles, no knobs, nothing like that and i'm going to be doing a bang. So i'm parting the front of my hair in this. U shape and just sectioning it out. As you can see, my scalp must have been a little dry, so i just added some hair oil, so i'm going in with my clear eco, styling gel and i'm just spreading it through my hair. So i can have a nice slick, ponytail um once again for those who have natural, hair and gel curls, your hair, i would suggest using got to be free spray or an edge control, something that will not curl your hair up. So now that my hair is in a ponytail, i'm going in with my black wrap it up strip and i'm just tying my hair down that way. It is secure out of my way it won't curl up and it will just dry this way. So i'm going to go ahead and braid my ponytail because i will be doing an invisible ponytail, so i'm just going to braid it and use an elastic to secure the end. Now because i don't want my ponytail too long, i'm just flipping the end over and i'm just going to sew it that makes my ponytail shorter. It allows the weave that i'm going to sew onto my ponytail to not be as long. So that's what you see me doing right now for this ponytail. I will be using some random hair that i found um. It is just pieces so especially if you want to like cut here and stuff, you don't want to be using your good good hair guys. So when you have hair left over, you just save it, and you can just do things like this. So what you see me doing now is just attaching the weave onto my braid. So all i'm doing is sewing the weave on my braid and it's just going to go around and around and i'm going to stitch it as i go around until i reach to the top. So so now that i am done sewing my ponytail. I'M going to remove the black wrap it up strip because by now my hair is pretty much dry and i'm just going to take a small piece from the back to use as my wrap around my band. So that's exactly doing now. I am using my black got to be glue and i'm combing through the piece, because you want it to look nice and smooth and i'm just wrapping that piece around my band. As you can see, i did pull out a next piece and that's because the first piece i pulled out, i don't feel covered my band enough or it wasn't just it just wasn't thick enough. So i decided to put another piece and it looks way better. So, thank god for that now i will be flat ironing the hair, so i'm going in with my bowel silk, of course, and i'm using my babeless nano titanium. I believe it's the 3000 flat iron and i'm just going in and straightening the hair, because some of the hair that i did use was a body wave pattern. So i just want it to all look the same so once my ponytail is flat ironed. I'M gon na start off now doing my bang, so i'm just going to press out the bang first before i start adding any of the tracks. So now i will be adding some pieces of hair to my hair. So what i'm doing is i'm parting it in sections and i'm starting from the bottom. So i'm gon na go in as you can see, i'm measuring out the parting. You need to make sure your parting is straight because i will be showing you guys this using blue and you do not want the blue on your hair, so i'm adding the glue onto the track and then i'm going to place the track. Basically, on my scalp, where the part is that's, why you want to make sure that your part is nice and clean and you're going to press it down and use your blow dryer, and if you want extra security, you can also use your holding sprays to spray. Whatever it is to hold the hair that way, it is very secure, but i'm just going to be repeating this step until i add in about two more tracks so now that i've added the tracks into my bang, you can tell it is fuller, it's longer so That is great. What you see me doing now is just pressing it out, and once i press it out, as you can see, i still have hairs left on the side. I'M gon na go in with my edge control and kind of slip. Those back now. I am measuring out this ponytail and i'm just trying to figure out where exactly i want to cut it and i'm just going to go in and cut the end. I'M not cutting it straight across, as you can see, i'm kind of like it's like you're razoring. It i don't know exactly how to explain it, but i want my ends to be kind of jaggedy. I don't want it to be super blunt. So that's what i'm doing now next i'll be taking pieces and i'm just going to use my flat iron at first and i'm going to add some curls into my hair at the back and also a little flip at the front. So i wasn't really a fan of how my curls came out with the flat iron, so i'm going in with my barrel curling iron from hot tools, and i'm just using that now to curl my hair and that just came out much better. I liked how it looked it. Was it just defined the curl more? So i loved that. So that's exactly what you see me doing now. This is basically how the hairstyle looks.
