Chloe Bailey| Ponytail Over Locs

So, what's up y'all and welcome to another episode of my iridescent lifestyle, thank y'all. So much for coming, hang with your girl. You know i appreciate y'all. As you can see, your girl got a fresh retwist done, compliments of myself, so i'm always telling you guys. I love saving money and this is one of the ways that i save money. I do my own hair now periodically. You want to feel pamper, so you know i'll go to the hair salon i'll get my hair done, but in between i'm maintaining i'm doing the retwist i'm trying to come up with styles, all that good stuff. So i did a fresh free twist and i will insert in this video some clips of just my basic routine, of how i wash retwist my hair, what products i use um and then for now we're going to be styling, my hair today. So i'm sure you guys are familiar with chloe bailey and is it hallie bailey or haley, hallie or haley? I apologize. I don't want to have nobody's name up, but they are lock queen jaw lock queens and they always are super innovative with their styles. You know sometimes they have just you know, regular nice, just straight locks other times they have so many different styles and i'm like i want to try some of those styles. So today we are trying a chloe bailey inspired hairstyle um. She appeared at the grammys this year and i'm sure you guys know what hairstyle i'm talking about it's fire, so we are going to be attempting the hairstyle. I will post the picture in here so that you guys can see what the inspiration is. We'Re going to see what this is going to turn out, like i'm scared, y'all, i'm not gon na lie. I'Ve watched some other girl videos, some other youtubers videos and the hairstyles were super cute um. Some of their locks were a lot thicker than mines. Some of them were longer shorter. Sorry, if you could hear my son in the background we momming around here too, but um, i'm scared, because i don't know how this is gon na turn out. I don't know if i have. I won't say too much here, because i've seen girls with a lot um. Their locks are a lot thicker than mine, but i'm still like worried if i have enough hair. If this is gon na, look right that i get the right length ahead like it's a whole lot, a lot of, but we're going to try it out today and y'all want to tune in with me. So so i want to start off by showing you guys what products i have and then we'll go from there. So i just have some regular hair pins, some rubber bands. Then i have some elastic headbands. I love these for my locs, like i use these on a regular and then i got this out tray um. What is this springy afro twist hair and it comes with like three different, like sections of hair, but i'm scared y'all. I don't know if this is enough: hair um. So here let me do that so that you can see - and i picked this hair. A lot of girls use the morally hair um, but i picked this hair because i naturally have like butterfly distress locks a lot of my locks, for whatever reason, never sealed at the end, and i love that and i still have some curls at the end. So i figured this would kind of you know match with my pattern a little bit more so um, i'm going to part my hair in half and i'm going to do some barrel rolls going back, may do braids. Most girls do braids, but i'm not a good braider, so i may either do barrel rolls or i may do. Braids braids are probably easier and quicker. So i guess we'll figure out by the end of this video. What did i what i decided on doing so? We'Re either going to do barrel rolls going back or we're going to do some cornrows going back, probably about five, maybe six and then i will come back and we will start trying to install this hair. What'S your girl look because i got somewhere to go tomorrow and i need to be on point. So what's your girl luck, please all right y'all, so i had to come back to y'all, live and direct, because we had a little hiccup just just a small one. Um, so this is what we got so far. We got. I ended up just doing four cornrows going straight back and then from all of the other videos that i have watched um, you have to get your hair into some type of decent neat ponytail. But i don't know if everybody else has this problem, but my locs are a couple different lengths, because when i originally locked my hair, my hair was cut into layers. So it's hard for me to get just one nice neat bun, so some people were using stocking caps, but i had already went to the store and got everything that i thought i needed. So your girl had to get a little uh improvisish and i had to get some. I had some stockings some all black stockings in here, so i'm going to cut these and put them over the back of my bun and i'll show you what i mean like. If you can see like it's not and i have again those bobby pins and i started bobby pinning - and you know certain areas to secure the hairs but i'll be using that whole 50 million pack of bobby pins to get all of these pieces in so it'll. Just be easier, so i had some old stockings, they are clean, y'all, they are clean and i'm gon na go ahead and put that on and then it's really gon na be the moment of truth to see. If i have enough hair, because we might have to stop this video go to the hair store and then come back and finish, but i'm praying that i don't because i don't want to have to i got stuff to do. I got time to make it. No extra pit stop so i just wanted to come in and let y'all know where we're at and we're gon na go ahead and get this video back on track. Okay, so i just wanted to show you guys the hair and what i did to it and what is what i'm thinking in my mind on how this can work. So the hair - just pretty much, comes like this in the package, so i kind of you know pulled it out. I'M gon na fluff it up a little bit and then i just put a rubber band at the top. So it's like that little piece left at the top and i'm thinking about just kind of putting it over top and then bobby pinning it down um, but i'm not sure yet because some other girls that i saw they like latched the hair onto here. Let me get one they would latch the hair onto the scrunchie and then put it around here. But this is this. Hair is what let me look. 24 inches. So if i latch it, i'm gon na have to latch it from the middle, which means that this ponytail is going to be very short, and i need some dramatic drama like hair, i don't want a short ponytail, so we're going to try it like this to See how it goes and then i'll come back and let you guys know what we're working with fingers crossed. Y'All fingers crossed it. It adds up in my mind, but i don't know how it's going to go so we gon na see so all right y'all. So this is the final look and your girl is feeling it i'm feeling it i'm not too sure if i still should get more hair, because technically i cheated and since the hair came in like three bundles, i just put them like one right. I pinned one right here. I pinned one right here and i pinned one right here and one right here and then i took pieces from each side and i showed you but and then i wrapped it around to kind of keep everything together. Um but let's just say your girl ain't gon na be doing no face down. You know what up, because it will be nothing but bun up underneath here so, but i think for what it's for for this to be my first try. It looks good y'all, i'm liking, it i'm liking it it's different um. It'S definitely it's a lot of hair. It'S a lot of hair, and this is just with three of the little bundles on there. I'Ve seen people use two of these three bundles. So six, it's too hot for all that, so i'm just hoping that my hair don't fail me. I think it'll be good, because i use a lot of bobby pins to secure everything. I wrap that hair around twice on both sides um to create, like a nice neat, cohesive, look in the back um the plaits. Well, i ended up doing braids because that was just a lot quicker and they worked out your girl's, not a braider, but they worked out little baby hairs. Popping i'm happy y'all, i'm happy. This was a super simple hairstyle um. I will link all of the information as far as what i used and all of that stuff in the description box below, if you guys like this from my lock queens.
