4C Hair Slick Back Braided Pony | Yvanna Bollanga

Hey guys welcome or welcome back to my channel, it's ivana balanga and i'm back again with another video, so for today's video, i'm gon na be doing a hair tutorial on this braided pony. I think it's very cute. I'Ve been wanting to do it for a minute. Now but to be honest with y'all, i really just didn't think i could. I don't know why, but i just thought that it was like a very hard hairstyle to pull off on my hair type, but i think i really did that so yeah. My edges. Look pretty good the braid. This is my first time doing it. So if the braid has a big bump right here, um don't mind it. It'S something that'll get better. As i go very cute, it's a jumbo braid. It'S a little bit extended! So yeah. If you want to know how i pulled off, this look make sure you keep on watching. So i'm just going to start off by taking this shirt off my head. My hair is already deep conditioned, but i don't have any product in it yet, as you can see, but my hair is very damp, so i'm just going to go ahead and put some castor oil all over my roots and then i'm going to go in with Some leave-in conditioner and i'm going to apply it all over that section and then i'm going to start twisting up this section just so that i can make sure all the product really seeps into my hair and i'm going to do that all over my head. Okay, so now that i've finished every section, i'm just going to take out these two back sections so that i can start slicking it down. So this part is very much optional, but i'm going to take my blow dryer and just go in on a low heat setting. Just so that i can stretch out my hair a little bit. Then i'm going to go in with eco styler gel and i'm going to apply that all over that section of hair and then i'm just going to tie it up with a rubber band. Not every section is going to be this easy, but that's just what i do for the first section. So now i'm going into the next section, i'm actually going to split that section in half again just to make it more manageable. So i'm going to go in with some eco styler gel, just like the last section, and then i'm gon na go in with that blow dryer again on low heat and then for this section, i'm gon na start brushing it down just so that it can be Really flat and i'm going to tie that section up, so i'm basically just gon na do that to every single section. Until i get to the front, that's when i'm gon na start doing things a little bit differently. So now we've gotten to the front and as you can see, i've split it into a left and right section. So i'm going in with some eco styler gel just trying to get it super flat around the edges and i'm going to start brushing it down. And if you can't tell i've been alternating between a hard bristled brush and a soft bristled brush, this right here is a hard bristled brush, so you can see kind of the difference that it makes as i brush through my hair. So then, i'm just going to tie that section into the ponytail as well again optional. So now, i'm gon na go in with some gorilla snot, which is just going to help it get a little bit more slick. This is definitely not the final step, but this is where i start doing things a little bit differently. Just because the front is what you're really going to see, then i'm going to do the same exact thing to the other side. Again, i'm just applying gorilla snot. All over the edges of my hair, just to get it a little bit more slick. So now i'm going to go in with this edge booster and i'm going to put it around the edges of my hair as well closer to the hair tie, so that i can just get those parts a little bit more slick because sometimes they don't like to Stay down and i'm getting the back of my head too, and that's what it's looking like so far. So now, i'm just gon na wrap the back of my head tight just so that i can have it laid down while i'm working on my edges. So i'm just gon na start pulling out my baby hairs with my edge comb and i'm going to take that same edge booster and i'm just going to start laying down my edges. It'S kind of self-explanatory. So i'll, just let you all watch so then i go in with the extreme hold edge booster and i go over the work. I just did just to make sure that it stays put. So now i'm going to tie up the front with a different headband. Just so that the edges are tied down as well, and i'm gon na leave that tie down for 20 minutes. So now i'm back, i put some lashes on, but this is what it looks like once i take the scarf off laid to the gods very much so now it's time to start the braids. So i'm just going to tie my hair into a really tiny bun. I'M using this jumbo kanekalon hair braiding hair, so i'm going to take a rubber band and loop it around the hair and then tie it into a knot. And i'm going to tie that rubber band right around the bun that i just made. And then i'm going to cover up the bun with that middle section of hair and i'm just going to start braiding. This is the first piece of hair that i'm going to use to feed in. So i'm just going to add that in so that i can extend the braid a little bit more make sure you're braiding all the way to the end, unless you're trying to do a little style where you curl it up at the end or something but yeah.
