#Alopecia #Afro #Kinkycurly #fakeedges

Hello there Per request I wanted to test out what a couple viewers and I were curious about. Here I would be showing you how to I applied kinky curly hair to my edges.

After finally deciding last year, to not cut my hair anymore✂️‍♀️, I been letting it grow out again. I will also be sharing my 6month hair journey update!

#happyblackhistorymonth ✊I just want to take time to acknowledge and honor our ancestors who fought and pathed the way, for all the things that we can so freely partake in today!! (Self reflection question: how do you plan on making history?! )

What I used:

Loose kinky curly hair (example: Springy afro twist crochet braiding hair)

❤️Ghost Bond glue

Rat tail comb

Spray dye (optional)

Kinky curly wig (optional)

Foreign welcome back to my channel and if you're new here, thank you for joining us today. So today I am coming at you with a request. So peachy's, baby and Sherry was in the comments discussing um whether or not we could do this with kinky hair, kinky, curly hair. So before this month ended. You know this is Black History Month I wanted to honor our crown and a hair texture. That'S near and dear to us, so I decided to give it a try. I'M like okay, let's, let's find out together, you know what I did was take some kinky curly, hair and um. I cut it down really short because I didn't want it to be too big. The next thing I did was comb out one of the ends and the end that I combed out. That'S the part that I'm going to be attaching to my scalp, and so it just kind of helps create like the fullness at the root for this I actually had to use, go spawn glue, so the regular gots to be glue and freeze spray won't work for This okay for this texture, you're going to need a stronger glue like go spawn or something even stronger than ghost Bond um. You know, preferably something that is sweat proof so that way, if you're sweating and everything um, it won't lift easily uh. So when it comes to kinky curly hair, it gets really hot. So you want to make sure that, like I said, you're using a good adhesive, that's going to give you a good hold. So the good thing about kinky, curly hair, is that you don't have to be as precise as you would with straight hair. You know kinky curly, hair just does its own thing right. However, you do just want to make sure you're following your natural hairline now. For this part, all I did was cut a little bitty piece of hair, and then I just attached it a little bit before the hairline and left a little Gap just to create like some natural, looking baby hairs. And now I just want to give you guys a quick little update on my hair Journey. This was August of last year. This is my hair three weeks ago and I just took down some braids and I was getting ready to pick it out and so I'm just picking it out and just basically preparing it to braid back up. I love using pigs. I don't know what it is about the pig, but I just love you, the pigs instead of combs. For this part anyway, I think I like the fact that it gets real fluffy all right, so I just use some type of oil or serum usually - and I just put it on the ends of my hair and after that I then greased my scalp with my Favorite Grease the Blue Magic, coconut Walgreens. I really like that grease and I use that to grease my scalp and then I just braid my hair and prepare for the next style. These braids right here that you're seeing those are those braids from three weeks ago, and it's just about time to take those down, so I will be doing that soon, maybe in the next video all right. So this is another option you could crochet the hair in the back. If you want to but um I was trying to do something that was a little bit quicker than crocheting, not that crochet takes a long time because it doesn't. But I didn't have time to do all that, so, instead of crocheting, I decided to go with something else which I will show you that in a little bit, and so the glue is down - and I am just filling in the rest of that area - it's pressing It down and making sure that it's dry spreading out the pieces to create fullness all right. So this is what I did. Instead, I just took a curly kinky wig that I had and I spray painted black, because the Loose Hair that I used it was like darker than the wig we're just gon na pretend like. I don't so badly need a line up and then I just picked it out fluffed it out. Some put it on and you want to adjust it to your liking and so I'm using bobby pins to help secure the wig down. Now, I'm just kind of creating a part to just kind of make it look more natural all right and I'm just cutting all the extra long pieces and any knots that are in the hair, just cutting all those out anywhere where it's matted. I got rid of all that so that way it gives it a nice clean shape, really and look at that. It looks really natural. It looks like it could be. My hair. The blend is good as well, then I just went in again with some more black spray just to fill in any gaps that I had now. This black spray is very messy, so I would advise you to get the right color hair, that you need the first time that way, you don't have to worry about dealing with this messy spray. As you can see, it's all on my hands, so I think I'm gon na have to get that off and it's all worth it. This turned out pretty cute. Thank you guys for watching until next time,
