#lowponytail #ponytailtutorial #sleekponytail #howtodosleekponytail #howtotutorial

Hi guys welcome back to my channel, so today we will be doing this. Ponytail look because y'all i slayed this, so it started off with me. I went and i got a silk press and i did not like it at all, so i decided to do a ponytail um and honestly. The parting part look at me struggling right now me trying to part my hair in the center really was the hardest part of this entire tutorial. That part alone probably took me like 30 minutes, y'all, i'm literally, not even lying. So after i parted it in the middle, i'm gon na take those little rubber bands and i'm sectioning my hair into three sections. So it's going to be two sections to the side. I'M just going to put a rubber band there just to hold that another section to the other side, and i'm also just going to put a rubber band there just to hold the hair together and then one section to the back. So now i'm just brushing through the hair just to make sure that there's no lumps it's nice and smooth, and i'm going to use my got to be spray. This is the key in making sure that it slicks i taking the blow dryer and it's going to be on a cool setting and literally just spray a whole bunch of got to be spray on your hair. That'S what's going to hold it together! That'S just going to make sure that it's slick, there's no flyaways, because if you use like gel that's going to cause those waves, so you want to make sure that you're using the got to be spray. So now i'm just taking um another one of those rubber bands. After i smoothed it out, look at me talking to my roommate um after i smoothed it out, brushed it back sprayed it just got it nice and slick. I just took the rubber band and sectioned that off and just once again doing more of the got to be spray. So now i'm taking the right section um and i'm just going to bring that and include that in the back section. So just taking the got to be spray, i'm just trying to get it um a little bit harder just to make sure like the fly-aways aren't like all over the place, and then i will take another rubber band and include that section to the back section um. If that makes sense, you guys will see what i'm doing it's kind of difficult. I guess to put it in words, but just honestly put as much got to be spray as you can use your blow dryer on cool setting, um and slick it down. So you see i'm just putting it with the section in the back, and here i tried to pull out my baby hairs after i pulled it back, which was a mistake. On the other side, i pulled my baby hairs out first, because you see, like i'm pulling the hair out that i just you know, sprayed back so i'm just adding more got to be spray just to get rid of those flyaways that i took out when i Was trying to take out my baby hairs so for this section i did it the correct way. So take your baby hairs out. First, before you slick your hair back um and then pull it back and add the got to be spray. That way, you don't mess up like the sleekness, so honestly y'all, it's just got to be spray in your blow dryer! That'S basically, you know the whole foundation and getting this ponytail right. So i'm just going to take another rubber band and add that to the section. So at this point you should have three of those rubber bands in your hair and i'm going to take. Of course, more got to be spray and blow drying on the cool setting. So now you can choose whatever edge control that you want to lay it on baby hairs girl. I use the myell um organics the pomade, but you can honestly use whatever edge control that you want and i really need to get those um brush comb things because i use both like my brush, my toothbrush and the combs. So now i'm using the rapid styling strips um and i'm going to take three pieces. Um you'll see me do that here, just to make sure that everything really sets and that the ponytail um, like this section of the ponytail like, would just be nice and hard and making sure that there's like no flyaways. So now i'm just going to braid my ponytail um and just put it a rubber band at the end to make sure that it doesn't unravel. So after i let that set for a little bit. I let it set for like 10 minutes, i'm just gon na go ahead and cut off those styling wraps and my hair is nice and laid and no flyaways, no nothing! So now i'm going to take the styling strip again. This is a fresh one. Of course. Please don't take the one that you cut off your head, i'm going to take a fresh styling strip and i'm going to wrap it around my braided ponytail. So i start from like the top portion and i'm wrapping it down and then, when i get to the end, where there's that little piece, i'm just taking another styling strip and i'm wrapping it back up the pony the little braided ponytail. So this is just to secure it because this section we're going to put hair glue on so you don't want that to like seep through your natural hair. So you just want to make sure that that is covered nicely. It'S nice and firm, and it gives a good hold to the um extensions that you're going to glue onto that. So then i'm just going to wrap it all the way to the top. Until i have no more so, i tried to spray it with like the got to be spray and like use the blow dryer, because i thought it would like like seal but like it kept unraveling. So what worked for me was that i took a little rubber band again and i just placed it around the styling, the strips, and this really held it in place, because when i didn't do that y'all this was slot. It was literally sliding out and my whole ponytail would be on the floor. So i put a rubber band at the top portion and then i put another one at the bottom portion where it was just unraveling and when i did that it was good to go. So i took the organic hair. I got this from my beauty supply store for like 27, this one it comes in a pack of like four pieces. It'S like three bundles and one closure, and i took the 20 inch one and i got this hair glue. So my phone died so sorry about that. That'S why i like the ponytails halfway up um, but i'm just going to take the hair glue and i'm going to put the glue on the actual wrapped braid, like our natural braid. Um. Look at my hand, there's so much glue on it, but that that comes off. So after you put the glue around that you're just gon na take the bundle and you're going to wrap it around and you're just going to keep doing that literally all the way up, the ponytail um anytime, like you, wrap it, and once that glue is covered, You just want to add some more glue and keep doing it, so you guys are going to see me. Do it again, you're going to see me, add some more of the hair glue around the styling strip, braid and then you're just going to see me wrap the actual bundle around that to seal it in. I hope what i'm saying is making sense, but i feel like with me talking and you guys watching you can kind of see what i'm doing, hopefully so yeah you're just going to keep wrapping this all the way to get to the very top and you get To the end of the bundle um and then when you get to the very end of the bundle, there is going to be a little piece so that part's coming up here. Yes, so when you get to the end of the bundle, there's gon na be this little piece, so you're going to take that and just wrap that around the ponytail until you have no more of that hair. This is going to like secure the ponytail um. So it's like in place so you're just going to take that little that hair and just wrap it all the way around. Now, when you're doing this, the track of the ponytail at that top is going to show so you're going to want to take another piece of the hair from underneath, like a good size portion, you're going to want to take. You know i just combed it out a bit, so it was nice and smooth um spray a little bit of the got to be spray on that, just to make sure that it seals it in and then you're just going to wrap that around also, which is Going to cover that track, some people take like a thick piece of hair. I don't really like like that thick look, so i took a thinner piece and that's it guys. This is the final look um. I think, for my very first time doing a ponytail. I think i did a great job and i'm very pleased with the outcome. Look at me feeling myself watch. Oh wow, you better go ahead, girl, shake the hair um, but yeah guys. I hope you guys enjoyed this video here's a little before where i was just not feeling it, and then here is my after where i am a babbage. So guys, please make sure to like comment subscribe, and i will see you guys in my next video bye
