Welcome beautiful people, i am Chev b if you're new to this channel, welcome, wah gwan make sure you are subscribed down below for today's video i'll, be creating a sleek ponytail on my four type, hair and i'll be doing this in a fully stretched state. Now, as you guys can see, the shrinkage is real, my hair is freshly washed and it is completely free of product. So that is very important for a stretch. Look your hair needs to be completely clean. Now today's video is sponsored by tonico and i'll be using their moda one hairdryer. Now this hair jar is a smart, hairdryer and i'll be getting. I will be getting into the features of this blow dryer for you guys. So this is what the blow dryer looks straight out of the package and it comes with about three different attachments. So this first attachment is more for a soft finish, more of a soft low volume, type of blow drying and then the second attachment is for more of a concentrated area. So this is what we'll be using to stretch our hair. Now, i'm going to show you guys what the blow dryer looks like it's a little bit different from your like typical average blow dryer and it looks like futuristic and different. So it comes with a manual. So you can read up on different things and features that comes with the blow dryer and also it comes with a diffuser which is very important for us naturals for drying our hair. So it only has two settings a automatic setting in a cool setting, and then it has the on and off switch. Now the attachments are magnetic, so they literally automatically connect, and then you turn it in a 360 direction and also the back of the the blow dryer can be detachable to clean the vent. So you know a lot of times. We have blow dryer and all the gunk and dust is stuck in there. So it's a great thing that this blow dryer allows you to remove it. So you can clean the airway now i'll be using this tresemme heat protectant, because girl we're we'll be using some heat in our hair, and we need to make sure that we're doing this in the most healthy way possible. Now i won't go overboard with the heat, but still i got to make sure that my my hair is protected now the cool thing i want to show you guys about this blow dryer. First of all, as i said, we're using the more concentrated um attachment so that we get the most effective dry possible now. The cool thing that i noticed with this blow dryer is that it can detect which area is wet and which area is dry. So, basically, when it's on that blue color, it is dry and when you put it on an area that is wet it's, it heats up a little bit more and allows that area to dry. So you, it also comes with an app where you could set the mode to dry your hair, so i'm gon na just do this for my entire head and then we're gon na like fully blow dry our hair. Now this is my hair fully blown out, and then i will be straightening my hair, a little bit more for a more sleek look and before i do that, i'm going to be using this tresemme serum to put on my hair again. Protection is important, very, very important, so i'm going to put that all over my hair, you want don't want to go overboard with this you're, going to put it lightly all over your hair from the roots to tip and just work that in there now to flat Iron, my hair a bit even though you're seeing some heat. I actually use this on 340, so it wasn't that hot and i did about one and a half pass-through. You can do two if it's necessary, but i only did one on most of the areas. So i didn't want my hair to be super straight. I just wanted it to lay flat, so you just need one pass or two, if necessary, on given areas now, once i have done that it is time to put my hair up in one. So basically, the whole process of this is to use less product. Now i have different tutorials on showing you guys different ways to create a sleek ponytail. Now i have tutorials on how to do that without heat and more product, and this one is with some heat and less product, so the product that we'll be using is it got to be freezing spray, and that is our main product and one of the only Products that we'll be using to create this look, so i just sprayed the guy to be freezing spray around the perimeter of the of my hair and then i just brush it all up in one now, i'm just taking little pieces on the side. You don't have to do this. I thought it was cute when i was looking at different sleek ponytails on pinterest and i'm like you know, i want to try that little little um leave out on the side and yeah. That'S basically what we'll be doing so. I'M gon na keep brushing my hair up in one, as you saw. I only use the got to be freezing spray so far. I didn't even put any more in there as yet, and i just keep brushing my hair up and then put it in the ponytail. Now i'm gon na go back in with the freezing spray. Once i get my hair in one and the freezing spray will keep your hair in place and also for the fly aways. And then i go back in with the blow dryer and just dry. The area where i put the freezing spray so that my hair could stay and lay properly and flat now the ponytail that we will be using is from ultra, and this is called a pretty quick ponytail. Now i have this ponytail for months and it has been sitting in my recording room for the longest time and i just thought: hey, i'm going to do a sleek ponytail, so this ponytail, basically you don't have to do all the extra ish of like wrapping the Hair - all of that, so i thought it was pretty cool and it is super long now i'm going to try to find it online for you guys and put the link in the description box. If i can find it, and basically it comes with three little combs on the inside and then the piece to wrap it around. So it's supposed to be really easy. Now the tricky part of this is, i didn't know where to put my hair. So a lot of the tutorials that i see you put your hair in a bun, but my bun was too big as much as i try to get it as small as i could. I couldn't get the bun to be small to do it. So basically, i try to get my hair to blend with it or just to lay within the ponytail now. This could also be tricky if you have super thick hair, so um girl. I don't even know what to tell you with this. I felt like it could have done with one more track, so if you have um pieces of hair - hopefully you can put it in, but i felt like it just needed to be a tad bit thicker for it to be like super bomb. Now i'm just going to wrap the piece around and then spray the gasket freezing spray to make sure that it stays in place. Now i don't have to use any bobby pin. I didn't have to do anything extra. All i did was wrap the hair around and keep spraying the freezing spray and use the blow dryer to dry that and it stayed in place now. Once i have my ponytail done, i still wasn't satisfied with how my hair was in the ponytail. So i took out the elastic that i put on the end of my hair and then just basically played around with the ponytail try to move it around so that it could cover my hair in between and it helped that my hair was straightened a bit. So it could blend easier within it, but if you have shorter hair make a bun and it should be way more effective, now i'll be using the pump it up. Spritz - and you guys know when you do spritz on your hair, your hair isn't going nowhere like no flyaways inside once you spray the the pump it up and then tie down your hair. Now, i'm just using a little bit of light oil. You don't want to use heavy oil at all for this style. What i wanted to do was to get my hair to lay flat without using too much product, and also, even though we love our coiliness of our natural hair. I wanted to try something without having too much wave so that it could actually match the ponytail that i'm wearing now for your edges, like i didn't, really show the edge control, because the edge control that i'm using is from myfirstwig.com. Where i get my wigs from and i used to use, she's bomb edge control, but of recently it just hasn't been working for me. I keep changing um edge control, but just use whatever works for you and to get the very front flat. I sprayed some more of the pump it up and then use my edge brush to brush that in and then tie it down immediately, while it's wet so that it could dry in place and for my little side, whisker thingy, my jigs, i just um flat iron. It one more time to get it to be straight and then we're going to tie down the hair, because it's still a little bit, i'm wet from the got to be freezing spray, and we let that dry. While i did my makeup so this is how the hair is looking after, i did my makeup and i'm just gon na spray, some of my cream of nature, finishing oil and rub it in the palm of my hand and just put that, on top of my Hair, so you don't want to use any wet products like wet products are a big no-no. You want to make sure if you're going to use oil use a very light oil, no type of a heavy oil is necessary. Now you see my kitchen needed a little bit of touch up. I didn't realize that until after the video i put a little bit of edge control in the back there, you know get them pepper. Greens all the way together, and this is the final look.
