Easy Cornrows Ponytail► Natural Hair Protective Styles

Hey curlfriends and welcome back In today's video, I'm going to show you guys how to create these easy cornrows into ponytail.. Don'T forget to like and subscribe button if you have not already became a curlfriend., I'm starting off on an old twistout., I'm using some oil to take down these twists.. I like to use oil when I take down my twists just to minimize as much frizz as possible. As ya'll can see. My curls are popping. Unfortunately, we will be combing these curls out for this hairstyle.. I pretty much just wanted super stretched hair.. I wanted it to be stretched out enough to where I can braid it much more easier so that it's not super coily and tight.. I'M going to go ahead and separate my hair from the front to the back., I'm starting from the tips of each ear.. The front section is where the cornrows will be. The back will pretty much just be slicked up into a ponytail., I'm going to grab some gel of my choice. I'll, have all of the ingredients and materials that I'm using in today's video in the description box below.. I'M using this gel to smooth down my hair., I'm going to grab a hard bristle brush to brush this in.. We want this to be nice and laid get them kitchen, baby, hairs, nice and soft. Looking and sleek Using a regular Goody hair elastic, I'm going to go ahead and get my hair into a nice tight ponytail., I'm going to braid the ends of this ponytail. All the way down to this large braid., I'm going to separate my hair into 3 large parts.. I want a middle or crown section part and two on the sides.. These will be the 3 braids that will make up this entire hairstyle.. It'S really simple guys! I'M going to go ahead and use some butterfly clips to keep everything separated., As you guys can see. I have my 3 parts. I'm going to use some gel to base down each and every part.. I want each cornrow to come out nice and sleek, but I don't want the hair to become slippery.. I put the gel around the base of the braids.. I just went ahead and just did a simple cornrow.. If you don't know how to cornrow, I got you covered. I have a tutorial on how to cornrow hair. I'll, have it linked above., Just click the ``, I'' and you'll see exactly how to do. It., I'm just going to continue around my entire head, brushing down everything, nice and sleek., I'm finishing everything off with a nice large cornrow.. When choosing your gel of choice, you want to go for something that's about at minimum 8 or 10 hold so that you get a nice strong hold.. You don't want this hairstyle to get super frizzy or old. Looking super fast. Make sure that you get a strong gel that you know has a nice hold to it. We're moving on to the last and final braid. By the way, when you're parting, your hair, just make sure that the front is super straight and sharp.. Don'T worry too much about the sides that go towards the back., As you guys can see, my bun is a little ratchet looking., But the ponytail itself is so big and poofy that it's going to cover it up., I'm just going to go ahead and put everything Into one large ponytail., I'm going to braid down the loose ends of this ponytail.. That way, I can get this bun to be super tight.. I don't want a large bun because we do have to stick the ponytail right on top of this bun., I'm just wrapping the ends of the hair around themselves., I'm going to grab a small little rubber band to put it in place., I'm using this large wig.. This is like the kinky straight type of wig.. I think that this was the Outre Tess Wig., Don't quote me. I'll leave it in the description box below.. I pretty much just laid it on top of the bun and I used the comb that are used to lay down the part flat. I stuck those into the bun., The two straps towards the back of the wig. I also used to wrap around the bun itself and get it super nice and tight. Where the parting is for this particular wig. I'M just going to grab some hair to cover it and wrap that around my natural hair bun.. I'M pretty much just trying to conceal my own natural hair underneath this, as well as the lace part that I have in this wig., I'm pulling from the back. Where the end of that part meets., I'm just going to pull it towards the front and pin it down into place., You can continue wrapping as much hair as you want to pretty much conceal your own natural hair bun.. I'M just going to go ahead and brush out this hair.. I haven't used this wig in such a long time, so it was a little bit tangled.. This is pretty much the final result..
