Hey guys tiara walker here, thank you for tuning in. I hope you guys enjoyed that intro today, i'm doing a 90s barbie ponytail with the bang aka swoop, and i just love this look. This is super girly and i'm just channeling my inner barbie. I feel like this was every girl's dream, but anyways, let's get into the tutorial, so the first thing you want to do is well. I did straighten my hair. I lightly straightened it on like 300, maybe 350, because my hair is fine, so i don't want to put too much heat on it, but i do want it to be straight for the bang and for the ponytail. So you want to section off your bang. First things: first, you want to play with it to see. If it's going to look right, if you need more hair part, it see what you need to do for it to look great and for it to shape your face. Well, so i'm liking it i'm liking. The fullness of it sometimes, i know a couple people they like to add in clip-ins or add in hair, add in pieces to make it thicker. I like the more natural like um look of the swoop. I don't want too much hair. I don't want it to be too thick. I want it to just look natural, so um yeah. I like this part, it's working for me, so i'm just gon na put that up in a hair tie, i'm gon na use a silk hair tie. I love these hair ties because they don't pull your hair and i feel like they're just way better. Just to like move my hair out the way now i'm going to take a brush, i'm going to kind of shape. My ponytail see where i like it see where i want it. Do i want it at the top of my head. Do i want it in the middle and then i'm going to take my baby hairs, my edges out whatever i need before i actually do. The ponytail these edge control these edge, brushes and combs, are perfect for your hair. Now i'm going to take this. Carry care wax stick. This is so needed when doing ponytails, so you just want to pretty much apply that around your head. All around your hair, the back the sides and it kind of just sticks everything in place. It holds it kind of molded in place while you work with it, but you also it doesn't it's not too. It doesn't get hard at all. So you can still manipulate your hair without it breaking so i really love this stuff. So now i'm just going to put my hair in a ponytail right. Now it's not going to be the ponytail that it stays in. But while i mold my ponytail, i'm just going to have it up, so i can work with it and try to get my bang out my face because in a way, so you do want to get a blow dryer. You need a blow dryer and you want some got to be hairspray, so you want to take the hair spray, apply it, because this is going to mold your ponytail, and it's not going to move it's going to just stick in place all day for a couple Days i'm taking my edge brush and i'm just brushing that together, i love using the edge brush because i feel like it gets every single hair, so you just want to brush it and mold it into place, because once you mold it into place, you cannot move It so now i'm just going to blow dry that on a cool setting, you must use the cool setting. You do not want to damage your hair or your scalp, so i am just molding my ponytail and i do have other ponytail tutorials on my channel. I'M sorry if i sound super stuffy, i just got dior back and you guys know that i'm allergic to dior, which is my dog, and i am a whole hot mess right now you guys, so i apologize for my voice. I am just molding my hair. I did the same thing to the back of my hair. Now i'm going to put my hair in a ponytail, i'm taking two hair ties and you want to get the hair ties without the silver metal piece. Just so you don't break off your hair. That'S important! So i'm using two just so i can secure it because i feel like sometimes when you don't use two hair ties. Your ponytail feels like it's kind of like tugging, your hair. You want that piece like to just control the ponytail and not like. Have your head. Jerking back, you don't want it to be too heavy, so you just want to secure base foundation, make sure your ponytails look at night. If you have any hair sticking out, take the guy to be glued. Take your brush and just slick it down. Now i'm just going to take some oil. This is from shea moisture. I want to say just any oil that i found and i'm going to moisturize that ponytail just to make sure it's being protected. My hair is fine, so i need as much moisture in my hair as possible. I need to protect my hair as much as possible. I do have i'm not relaxed, i do have i'm all natural. I'Ve never had a relaxer, but i do have some heat damage at the ends and i'm so happy because my hair is growing in super. It'S way thicker than what it used to be, but it's only like the roots right now. Well, not the roots. I say about a good five six inches and then the rest is like heat damage, so i've been doing a really good job at not um. Applying heat to my head today was like an exception for the video. Now i'm going to take a little hair tie. This is a thinner hair tie. This is not a rubber band, because i don't want to apply rubber bands to my hair um when i'm securing it. So i just braid it up, apply hair tie. Now i'm going to take these hair strips. I don't even know the correct name for this, but i'm just going to. I see a lot of hairstylists. Do this, i'm like i watch my hairstylist whenever i do get anything done. So i know when i get home. I know how to do the exact same thing. I know how to maintain my hair, so i just do what they do. Okay, so i got these um mold strips, i think, or hair strips, i don't know, and i'm just protecting my real hair, protecting my ponytail and i'm going to add some hair glue, and this is not getting on your natural hair. It'S just going to hold the wax, not the wax strip, the hair strip, whatever it's called together, then i'm going to take these bundles, which i'm so glad i found around the house, because i had some 30 inch bundles that i did not want to use for This tutorial, okay, girl, shake with your mama, gave ya um. So i i don't know how long this bundle was, but it probably was like 18 16 inches, which is perfect for this ponytail. So now, i'm just going to take a rubber band. Two rubber bands tie the end of that bundle and i have a more in-depth in detail tutorial on my channel, but you want to take a hair rubber band tie it because tie it to the end of this bundle, because you're going to tie that to the End of your ponytail in the back, and this is going to secure it, so your ponytail does not slip out your head. We need no slip. Ups, take that rubber band and then just secure it to the end of your braid, and this just holds it in together without using like bobby pins. I hate using bobby pins and i don't like to use glue on my hair because um i feel like. I can't really see, and then you just want to wrap your hair around the braid and just keep wrapping it up, wrapping it up, wrapping it up till you get to the top, and this is self-explanatory and then once you get to the end, you just take That extra piece of hair and wrap it up and then you take some got2b to secure it, blow-dry it on a cool setting and it will not go anywhere. I promise now i'm going to take just an extra hair tie and i'm only doing this to just secure that base with ponytails. You want it to be secure at the foundation, because that makes the biggest difference in security, and you don't want your ponytail feeling like it's pulling back so super important, i'm just going to flat iron a piece of hair, i'm going to take it from the bottom Of my ponytail to wrap around so i we can hide all those wefts and just make it look, seamless and barbie-ish and cool, but you want it to be flawless. So now i'm just going to take someone got to be spread on that hair and then wrap it around and make sure you're getting out all knots and everything you want this to lay flat so apply some more got to be spray. If you need it well, you do need it so apply some forgot to be sprayed, and this is going to hold that ponytail together. This is all kind of still securing the ponytail, but at the same time giving it that seamless look. I usually don't like a thick band on my ponytail, but this is like get we're, giving barbie vibes today, okay, so the band thicker, the band, the better. It'S going to look even more barbie-ish, because barbie is fake, so it doesn't matter if it looks big or not right. Well, the ponies out anyway, so i'm just going to keep wrapping that around the got to be is kind of like glue. So once you spray it on and then you blow dry it on cool, it's not moving, it's not going anywhere it's in place and it's stuck there until you spray some water on it or whatever it's gon na stay in place. So that's why i really love this stuff. This is like amazing. I don't know who made this, but thank you um. So now i'm just finishing that up, i'm probably not the best at explaining this, but i do have more detailed tutorials on my page. I just want to keep wrapping that up until you have no more hair left and then blow dry it this time. I do blow dry it on warm and then i'm going to cut the ponytail, because the ponytail is kind of long. I do want a blunt cut, but i don't want it too too blunt, so you cut it blunt and then just kind of sheer out the ends just a little bit. A blunt cut is super important for this because you want that swoop. Well, it's not really a swoop, it's like a little curl um at the end of the ponytail to just like all be in sync together unless you want like a fluffier like curl, but i want that barbie cut ponytail. Now i'm just going to straighten the hair, and once i finish, straightening straightening, the hair, i'm going to just flip it. I forgot to do my bae gang. How did i forget to do my bang, so i thought i forgot to do my bang, but you know what well my swoop, but it's better to do the soup after you do the ponytail anyways, because it would be just ten times harder. So i was like you know what thank god i did not do. The soup likes the soup into the ponytail because i feel like you, wouldn't have as much control over the soup anymore so do the swoop after you do the ponytail. So now i'm just going to sit my ponytail exactly where i need it to sit, because once i spray this got to be, it is like it's not super. It'S not going to be completely stuck because i'm not applying it to every single strand of my swoop, but for the most part it's going to be stuck in place and it's all going to move like one like one piece. So once you apply the got to be it's sitting there, okay make sure everything is seamless, apply the got to be and blow dry it on cool, and then i do wrap that end of the swoop to that piece in the middle, where i wrapped the ponytail. Now i'm just going to take some tresemme hairspray to hold it in place, so it doesn't move. And i need that flip to stay honey, because that is the star of the show and the swoop, but that ponytail honey, the star of the show and that's pretty much it. Thank you guys so much for watching. I love you so so much if you guys, like this video, don't forget to thumbs up subscribe and i will see you in my next one bye, guys, okay i'll, be right back! You
