You'Re really not paying for the hair itself. What you're really paying for is the convenience of it. Today, i'm going to show you how to get these bomb results using a drawstring ponytail. This hairstyle is lightweight natural, looking and perfect for the summertime. So the first thing i was doing was just taking out some old braids that i had up under a wig and, to my surprise, my hair was still hella moisturized, and some of you guys know that my hair used to be dyed. This ugly color - and i just am so happy to be back black, like i just feel like myself again so here is the drawstring ponytail that i purchased from hair are us. It was quite expensive, i'm not gon na lie and, as you can see, it doesn't match my natural hair color. So unfortunately i had to dye it using this temporary die from the beauty supply store. Now, as you can see, i have this ghetto set up. I didn't even have enough foil to cover my space and i didn't have gloves so i couldn't even like get into each strand the way you should, but, as you can see here, it still came out. You know looking a lot better than before and somewhat matching my hair. So here are the products edge, booster edge control, any type of gel of your preference, i'm using eco styler curl, enhancing smoothie or any type of curl defining cream holding spritz, and i forgot to mention gossipy spray, hard brush and a spray bottle with warm water. So i decided to suction my hair off and focus on the back half of my hair. First, i'm taking the first section spraying it with water and gently detangling it from the bottom. Up now my hair was already in a stretch style. I just took it out of braids, so i knew there wasn't much detangling to do and, as you can see, my hair is pretty much cooperating with me. So that's why i'm doing this whole back section all together now, depending on your hair type, what state your hair is in! You might want to go into smaller sections. So the first thing that i did was apply some curl defining cream to the hair so that it could clump together, as you see there and just be a little bit more manageable. This is, after i finish, putting the defining cream on both sections in the back. I'M just brushing it into the first little ponytail that i'm gon na make and because my hair was cooperating so well like it was laying smooth and everything for the most part. I didn't even need to put gel on the back section of my hair and, like i said, depending on the state of your hair, you might want to go into smaller sections and apply gel to each little section, but i didn't feel that that was necessary. For me, because the top half of my hair is going to cover the back anyway, so i was like. I don't even need all that gel next, when you get to the front you're going to want to find your part, whether that's the side, part or middle part. Now these ends are terrible, and this is my first reaction to it i was like, but anyway i just did all this work with this side. Part just for me to realize that i don't even like how the side part looked so you're going to want to pick your part and pick it wisely, because this whole process honey, is an arm workout. Okay, it really is get your toothbrush or your edge brush and go in with the eco styler gel first. This is what works for me. I went in with the gel first and then eventually, you'll see me going back in over top of the gel, with the edge booster edge control. So then you know i took out the back half in order to combine it all together. I honestly like using a toothbrush to really get into every little hair before going in with the hard brush. So you can see me putting the first layer of eco, styler gel and then later on, i'll, be applying the edge booster edge control on top to kind of like seal it in. So this part is optional, but you want to get some got to be spray and just spray a little bit on top to really, like i said seal it in and especially for the summertime. You'Re. Definitely gon na need it in order to combat frizz and all that other stuff. I should have showed you guys, the inside of the ponytail, but basically there's four clips and you're supposed to clip it around your bun and then pull the drawstring. But my bun was way too big, so i was over here struggling and my arms was hurting by this point. Look at my face like i was so over it, but anyway, to make your life easier. Do not do a bun okay, especially if you have thick hair you're, going to want to split your ponytail into two sections and do two small braids. So because i didn't know that, prior to doing this big old bun, i had to just take a hair tie and basically you know wrap it around the ponytail in order to just secure it in place and then you'll see me pulling the drawstring. So next you're going to want to take a small section of the hair from underneath in order to wrap it around the base of the ponytail to make it look seamless and at first you don't see me combing it out, just because i want it to be A little bit frizzy so that i it can really cover up the scrunchie, but when i get to the end part that i'm dealing with right now, i put a little bit of product on that just to tame it down a little bit. So here's where you want to get that holding spray that i mentioned and spray it on the base, then take a small toothbrush and kind of brush it in place, and this is just going to help the ponytail to look more neat for a lot longer time To fix the edges now you could probably just do the edges at the same time of doing the ponytail. I don't know why i did it in this order, but i like to save the best for last, so i'm taking the same products, the eco styler gel and the edge booster to lay my baby hairs quick little preview. It was looking good. So far. Obviously i have to tie it down so that it can stay a lot longer. Look at the waves. Okay, it is looking so natural. This is the length you guys. I got a 20 inch ponytail simply because that was the longest thing that they had at the time. Um, don't mind the ghetto trini flag, that's dirty as hell um. That'S just what i use okay. I used it one year for labor day and i never looked back and then i take this big satinish scarf from the beauty. Supply store boom come back, and this is what we're working with look at the shine. Look at how late it is. Look at the baby hairs. Okay, i mean i could have did the back a little better like at the bottom, but we're not even focusing on that. Okay, because the rest of it looks so good so finally finished now the question is: is it worth it? It'S a little thin like i feel like it could have used a little bit more. This is the full thing like it looks fine, but i personally feel like i could have just used a little more. I don't know, maybe i'm just being extra. So the real reason that i bought this is because i'm a little lazy. I'Ve always wanted to try out these little ponytail styles, but you know usually a lot of people do it where they take like the weave itself and they wrap it around the braid and all type of stuff. I don't know about all of that. I'M a little lazy so for me to do all of that. This was already a lot of work in itself and this is supposed to be the easier way. So i can't even imagine doing it the other way, plus that doesn't really seem so secure to me. Like just wrapping it around your braid, i feel like anybody could just you know like this is not going anywhere. I feel like if you do it the other way, i feel, like anybody could just yank that and it's off so anyway. I like how it looks. It'S a little frizzy on the ends like no matter what i put on it. The ends are really frizzy, but i'm not really mad at that, because it just looks more natural because natural hair does get hella frizzy and this retailed at 140 dollars. If you have the money and you're lazy, then i would definitely say get it, but if you're like on a budget - and you have a lot of patience - then don't buy it. I don't know. Oh, i also bought this is optional, but i brought some sheen spray. Just to like you know, make it look a little a little shiny and stuff. Let'S see, oh you give it to you for me any liquid shine or whatever dang it. Oh yeah, i mean i like how it looks. However, i don't like the fact that i have to dye it black. That was that was a lot of work like i feel like for the price. They should give you the option to buy it already dyed black. That'S just my opinion, yeah, you guys. Let me know if you think it's worth it. Let me know if you're gon na get this um, but this is definitely a cute style for the summer time. I also want to try it out, like in a higher ponytail you're, not really paying for what you're getting, because my aliexpress for 140 spoilers, like you, get three bundles in the closure, so you're, really not paying for the hair itself. What you're, really paying for is the convenience of it. So you have to decide if you want to be bougie and lazy or on a budget and have patience, but this is how it turned out. You
