6. Weekly Wash (Day) Hour Routine For Short Tapered Tight Curls

Welcome back to my Channel and hope you stick around and subscribe!

In this video:

I share my weekly wash hour routine and set my hair in a wash and go. I have been doing wash and go's more consistently since August 2021.

I stick with the same products and have made great progress staying consistent with the same weekly routine with minimal variations.

After almost a year of using Trepadora Papaya Slip, I am almost out! a little bit goes a long ways so I splurged and bought Trepadora Bamboo Ginseng Glaze. I used it for the first time and I love it!

I continue to work on my technique and speed.

I am by no means implying that you need to use the products that I mention in this video and I am basically sharing my process during my wash hour.

A lot of the tips I have gained are from the See Some Curls Digital Library and Yes Her Home Studio Cohort and have resources below to help you get the additional information and do your own research to achieve your best cleansing, conditioning, and styling.

I would love to know if you found any of the information useful, what you liked about my styling process or how your styling process differs from mine.

I love it I'll come to another wash hour, so this is a week old wash and go I'll, spend a few minutes just thoroughly wetting my hair on my scalp, I just interlock my fingers. I also make sure to get my edges and front back, and I start the detangling process right here with my fingers. How much I'm using all I'm doing here is just smooth it and everything I'm doing is in a downward motion. I made sure to make my part a little more visible. I started with about three pumps and I will notify apply to my ends. First apply to the rest of my hair, I'm doing this and then I will use um more water. This water is keyed and um. This process add some water to my hair. So first I finger detangle again a little finger. Detangling I go vertically first and then once I don't feel as much resistance, then I go horizontally with the flush after I have um use. My brush, I use my hands, I feel like it needs a little more conditioner, I'm going to apply a little more water. Everything is smooth detangled. My hair is saturated with water, so I start with two pumps splitting the gel on my ends. Another pulp. It'S for every on the rest of my hand, and now I have to go in and make sure I have Uncle funky inside front and back squeeze it in. I definitely need more water in all right. I do want to say that it's really not about using exactly the same amount of pump that I'm using I'm using what I need to use for my hair, so um. If I feel like I need more gel in a certain area I use more there. So I wouldn't Focus so much on Counting the amount of pumps, but just as you do it every week you figure out how much your hair needs and you may even find out that you're using less than you did maybe like a couple of months ago. Foreign key and water, so I'm going to put my shower cap on let this sit for foreign. I splurged a little bit and I got myself some bamboo ginseng. So what I know of bamboo ginseng is you don't need a lot and um I'm expecting a bit of a learning curve here um. So this is how much I'm using here, one pump, emulsified and um. I'M just gon na put that over my entire head work. It in all right and then I'll use another pump and one last one, so I use three pumps for my entire head. My main concern right now is uh wondering I'm wondering if I'm used too much or too little but um it's my first time using it. So we'll see use this three row comb for the shorter um parts of my hair. I'M all done! I'M gon na go sit under the dryer and then I'll be back when at least the exteriors dry. The interior takes a little while to dry, but by the end of the day, I'm all dry. It'S mostly dry. I do have some wet spots in here um still morning time, so I have the rest of the day for it to dry. I'Ll. Give you 360 of the look so far. I love it um. You know it has the right amount of hold for me. I have noticed a little shine that um or Shimmer that um I've heard other people talk about with bamboo ginseng compared to papaya slip, but we'll see how it looks like day two hair, I'm hiking with my family, still holding us my day three here so yesterday. I was up in the mountains in height and also it drizzled by the end of the day, so my hair did get a little bit wet, but it held up pretty good. The hold is still there. The shape is still there, and this is the back. This is the end of day four. My hair still has definition, definitely more volume, which I like hello. So this is the end of day five. I have more volume, less definition, but the shape is still there yeah. I did six hair um. It'S done really good. Definitely have more volume, less definition, it's the end of the day, so I'll probably wait this another day and I'll wash my hair on Friday. So if you made it this far, thank you for coming along and I hope you subscribe and leave a comment.

FPmin: Out of all the videos I've been studying, your tutorials are hands down the most helpful for me. I've had successful W&Gs practicing your visual techniques (even with different product usage). We have the same tapered cut except mine is much shorter and although I have decided to wait until my tapered cut grows a little more to get the W&G style I prefer, I still get excited when you post. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your journey.

miniminott48: Looking at your beautiful hair, people will say it's all genetics and a great cut. They would not know how much a simple, consistent, healthy routine allows your hair to thrive. Your hair grows so fast!

Michelle White: Love it! Nice technique with the smoothing raking! I love that combo as well!

Chocolate Coils: Love the set. I similarly use ufd in the same way I apply it as a base and let it sit in before I apply my topper ( style factor + ecostyler gel) I don’t need any more water through the whole process because the ufd holds so much water. When I did this process I finished around 6pm my hair was still wet the next morning at 8am so my hair stays moisturized quite well by day 2 it’s fully dry and starts to spring out. Day 3 looks really good though btw

FEN: Thank you for the tutorial! You made it really easy to learn!

Lauren Adams: Another great tutorial, you break down the process and make the process easy to understand. Hair had staying power. Did the glaze help your hair to last longer?

JK Wright: Thank you for posting such thoughtful and thorough wash n go tutorials. I recently cut my hair in a tapered cut and found myself stumped. Your videos have helped me create beautiful wash n gos which have helped me appreciate my cut vs regret it.

NaturalCurls4Life: Your hair looks awesome! It held up great throughout the week.

Rosie Amelia: Beautiful, I love your set and your shape is beautiful. Bamboo Ginseng I enjoy the hold it gives. Thank you for sharing

harold morris: Thank you for sharing. I’ve been on the fence about Bamboo Ginseng. I’m going to color outside the lines and try it.

Karen Bryant: Thanks for sharing again!!! You are AWESOME and your hair looks GREAT

Donna Herndon: Awesome video Tanoe! Your hair is Beautiful and Shiny!

janice edwards: Your hair turned out so beautiful

P. E.: Beautiful thank you for sharing!

Untwisted: Nice Results! Thank You for sharing

Natie Den: Lovely... Quick and short wash.

heaven: Nice hair cut, you look fabulous like always

Crystal Jackson: Nah that looks good tanoe!
