** New Here?**

Hi! My name is DeAvila Sadé, LCSW and I am a Millennial Mental Health Therapist. Every Sunday, I post new videos on my channel (sometimes an additional video on Wednesdays)! I share my knowledge regarding mental health, my microlocs journey, and travel vlogs. This channel is not a replacement for working on your own with a trained therapist. It is here to provide insight on things that impact us all so that we can show up in this world as our most authentic selves!

Thank you, hi. Everyone welcome back to my channel X, Diablo Sade with your host Diablo, Sade LCSW, and I'm back with a new video. If you are new to my channel, my channel is where mental health meets the millennial, with just a Sprinkle of my micro locks Journey here and there some travel Vlogs here and there - and I am back with a new video because drum roll, please it is my 11 month micro locks update, your girl has made it 11 months, which I, which means that I am literally one month away from being one year locked you guys. This has been such a great experience. If you are new to my channel, just go ahead and watch my entire playlist linked right here and you can see my entire Journey over the past year and thank you to everybody. Who'S been watching and subscribing. You got us to 1K and we are just trying to continue to Pivot past that, but let me go ahead and get into this update. You already saw my 360.. I did it at the beginning of the video and you can see that my locks are healthy. They are maturing. I actually have a fresh retie. Yes, yesterday I went and got my last three tie as in my last one before I hit the one year mark, so I'm glad to be bringing y'all a fresh, fresh, free time, um. Of course, you saw me in one of my past videos actually fixing the holes in my locks. So when my lock tissue went through my life, she didn't see any halls in them, so it was a great method. If you have two strand twists um. As your starter locks - and they have not fully matured, go ahead and look at that video I'll link it right here and you can go see how repairs the holes in my locks, so the update is really not that much to update you guys on. One thing is that I am no longer braiding and banding at all period, not even a little bit, because my lock system truly feels like that was contributing to me getting holes in my locks. So now I am just washing my hair, as normal people would typically wash their hair. We are not braided and banding. However, that has brought me a new problem because of course, there's going to be new problems to arise in anybody's Journey. My locks are starting to marry at the root if you are not sure what that means. That'S usually mean that you're gon na have two locks normally right next to each other and they're gon na start connecting at the root, and that's because I am no longer braided in bed in my hair and I'm just washing it regularly. Then now, every time I wash my hair, I find that my roots are starting to connect. So here my micro lights are starting to connected through, and I have to pop pop pop them so that they do not combine into one lie. So that is a new challenge that I've been dealing with right now. All my locks are popped because I got my wreaths High yesterday, but I usually pop them. Every week after I wash my hair and sometimes throughout the week, if I just kind of feel the locks connected at the root, I will go ahead and just use my fingers gently and pull them apart as gently as I can, but yeah. So that's something that I didn't look forward to happening, but it is happening so that probably, is something you might go through. So if you want to see a video of me and my new updated wash day as well as how I pop my Locs, I would love to give you a video on that y'all. Just let me know just let me know in the comments all together. What kind of videos y'all want to see with this one year anniversary coming up like if y'all? Let me answer y'all questions. Y'All me do a lip Shake, because when I first started my collage journey, I was 13. I had 13 inches of hair. So I'm you know curious as to how much I got now, let's see because maybe she she here so if you want to see a limp check during the one year anniversary, I would love to do that as well. Y'All. Just let me know what y'all want to see outside of um. I didn't fix the holes in my locks and they are no longer. You know, I'm making sure I'm popping them when they are marrying at the root. That'S really it I'm not having any issues with lint y'all know. I wear my Bonnet anytime, I'm laying down couch bed. I have my Bonnet on, so I haven't seen any real lint in my hair and if I do catch one little bud, I go ahead and get those tweezers and pop them right on now. So I'm not having any lint issues. My hair is feeling full. I still am not washing with conditioner um I'll. Do a leave-in conditioner um when I'm done, but I just still just wash with shampoo only um. I just don't think I'm ready right now out to actually start conditioning my hair with conditioner so yeah. That'S something that hasn't changed at all, but outside of that that is it. My Locs, of course, as you saw at the beginning of the video, are not fully mature and they will not be fully mature by the time I hit 12 months next month or one year next month. So that is something we know that they're. Not we don't even have to ask the question they're not going to be mature, and that is okay. This is my journey and although some people be like, oh my life's, like in seven months, that is not my story, so you answer me a little something, but we're gon na continue this journey, and that's really it. Thank you guys for tuning in today. I just want this to be a short video straight to the point um, if you're new in my channel go ahead and subscribe below, follow me on Instagram Facebook and Twitter at Diablo Sade, and I look forward to too hot in the one year anniversary. Buy one get Locker, hey bye, you guys

K H: So pretty! I cut my hair off because I was tireddd. Looking forward to and growing it back and installing locs when it’s long enough

Taneesha Saint Juste: Beautiful!!! I am 3 months in now and I am having marrying at my roots. I would love to see a video on how you pop them, with your updated washes and a length check! I’m so excited for you and your hair is lovely

Dare Jones: Happy 11th month microloc anniversary!!!!! Question - Do you love the look of your locs? I'm 10 months loc-ed and I find I don't like the look of my hair currently You can do a video on who influenced you to get microlocs and have any of your friends/family decided to get locs because of you? Will you eventually stop going to the loctician and learn to retie your hair yourself? When would you add colour or are you even interested in colour? Have you gotten ant negative responses to your hair any where or at work?

Chatterbox Therapists: Really cute
