How To Put A Short Wig On When You Have Long Hair

Hi, I'm Leona and today I'm going to be showing you how to put on a very short cut wig when you have long hair. Okay, so, as you can see, my hair is pretty long. Well, I say pretty long doesn't solve my natural hair, so it comes right here on my shirt here, so you can kind of see how long that is and I'll sit you around to see the length throughout okay. So this is my hair after I just washed it and some point to show you how to put on a very short style bag. This is the way that I will be putting on and it's a Vanessa Fifth Avenue very short, but cute style. It'S very short and cut to the neck. Here has a little bit of fringe right around the edges. It is longer on one side here than it is on the other. It has a curl that goes upwards towards the top and a feathered look around the front. So this is my go-to wig and people have asked me: why do you code, your go-to wig? And it's because it's what I put on when I need to go to the store, go to the baseball game or go see my kids at you know school. So it's my go-to way. So, okay, let me go ahead and set her down here, and the first thing I'm going to do is condition and prepare my own hair. Okay, so I have my new leaving conditioner. It'S actually called awesome. It'S awesome! It'S a leave-in, conditioner elimination, see see if you can see that they're awesome and it's a leave-in conditioner and you can see. I bought it at Beauty point which is my local beauty store. It was 11 nine there. So, okay, so it's not cheap. It'S for human! Wigs it's for on it's, for you can put it on human, wigs or human hair, so I like it for my own character. So what I'm going to deal with conditioned my own hair before I put it, stick it under a wig cap and a big pen. Oh, my god, all right. It feels really good. It is Mel system, so it is nice. It is my new 15 ish and I've been using for the past couple of weeks which I do enjoy. It is called awesome: plastic, hair, leave-in, conditioner, eh, five, seven, ninety-nine. Okay, so I even look and see if you can get integer yeah closest beauty supply store it's expensive, but it's worth it to me. So, okay, I'm just going to brush through my hair. Here all the do is make sure all tangles are out and work the leaving conditioner through all of my hand. Okay. Now, what I'm going to do from this point is make sure that I can get the hair to be flat in the back, so that, when you put on my wig since it's short in the back, I can't have it big bulky with a bunch of hair. So I wrap my hair a little differently in order to get in the way. So I'm going to take two hair pins and my comb here and I'll turn around and show you so you can see what I'm doing. This is simply going to make a part. Now, in the middle it doesn't have to be perfect. Obviously no you see it. I take one section of the hair mix it up. I run my fingers through it to kind of flatten it out, lift up a little bit, because I don't want it down here and bring it across still running my fingers through to submit it okay. Now I have that and I'm going to go ahead and put a pin hairpin going upwards. Okay. Now I'm going to work with the other side here, doing the same thing being careful not to grab that hair and swimming and lift the up the thing pull. I'M here go: look at my pin pulling I'm coming up, then I have another pin here and I can do it upwards now. Right here is nice and flat down here. Make sure that all men are here. Okay, probably looks a little awkward right, so let's go ahead. Pull this hair up here on the top pull the other side here up here and get my wig cap number think they'll have to be perfect before I do see a little strand, that's hanging down. We can all of that ya, know: okay, so and take my wig cap. I put my hand in it like this. I grab both ends of all that hair. I lit up. There place my hand over top of all of the ends, because now I'm going to open my wig cap up, stressing it down even over the pins okay, okay yeah. If you sure I have all my hair, you naughty little baby hairs in there all right now. Once I have I'm sure I have everything in there go around my ears and work on the placement of the wig cap itself. I just want it to rest a little bit over forehead and right on my hairline. Okay. Now I can go up in here, find my pin and slide it out without bringing all the hair down this week. There we go. That'S why I use these nice long, pins, okay, same thing! On the other side, here the win on the pen slide it out. You get to wake up back where you need it to be make sure you straggly hairs, work their way up. Snap I'll show you how this looks here, I'm sure, I'm all in all right. You can see around I'll have a bunch of long hairs hanging out there. Okay now take my little go to wig. Again, it's a Vanessa from Fifth Avenue. It is pathetically. It has a bunch of different highlights and colors and textures going on here. Okay, so it's we make sure that you get a good look at her before I put her on okay, so I prefer not to have these hooks and things like this attached. I like to leave that, unlike like it too tight okay, it doesn't have any combs or anything like that. It'S just a wake with two hooks in the back to tighten it or loosen it up. I am going to take this front and place it right where the wig cap is, is the front and I'll do that first, and I will slide it on up over my hair. That'S in the top. I don't want that hair to slide down. So I kind of kind of lift up one in the back, see push the hair up higher and then give her a little tug down low okay. Now I need to work on the side to make sure a my wig cap of cover, be that I'm straight with your little tag, hanging out and hooks and all that good stuff just give her a little tough and then work my way around now, horses look She'S really low right now, so I need to well. I'M doing is pulling on the back a little bit and working it and up in the front a little bit till I'm happy all right now, it's time to do any adjustments! Okay! So here you can see I'm going to just want to make sure there's no hairs that got tucked up in there. Then my part, I, like my part, to be a little defined here. Then these hairs come forward like that. I, like my little swoop - and I usually will just take the comb and blend I like actual feathering look, hair blah blah there we go and then these just slip down here like that. There'S any, but I want to do any separating with their to blend. In the back, it's just short and cute doesn't really need them there. So take a look - and I have my little short cute little so doesn't take much to 11 minutes 21 seconds to get her on and looking cute. Okay. Now, if you want to, you, can use um like a mist of oil sheen or something like that. I actually have a couple of different things that I use you see here, but you can just spritzer. You know right in through here to give it a little extra shine, but that's it. So that's how you take long hair and get a short wig, a cute style without cutting your own hair. This was a quick and easy way to make my hair a different color, a different style, and I can take her on take her off put her on everyday. You know, or whatever works for me.
