Hey guys welcome back to my Channel today, I'm going to be doing a video over defusing, so this has been pretty requested. A lot of people ask me how I diffuse my hair and kind of like what my techniques are. So I am going to go ahead and demonstrate that, for you guys today and I'll kind of talk through a little bit on what I'm doing and why I'm doing it as I'm diffusing my natural curls. So let's go ahead and get started before we get started. I just wanted to say that this may not be for people that want more elongated curls I like volume, so this is more for volume eyes to hair, to begin with, I air-dried for about 10 to 20 minutes to get a little bit of a cast, and This helps keep my ends from getting really wonky when I'm drying, and it gives time for my roots to dry a little bit. I always defuse on medium to low heat and low-speed. If I feel like the air is getting a little too warm I'll use my cool shot, but I never use it on high heat or high speed. Now this is sped up pretty quickly. I do usually leave the diffuser in each spot for at least five seconds. If possible, I do use my hands to kind of fluff out little areas as I go so again. I will not have a cast during this diffusing now you'll see me use my chemistry towel, and this kind of helps break up my cast a little bit as it begins to dry, more and kind of fluff sup. My curls makes them nice and bouncy and to the cotton won't give me frizz you'll also see me kind of sticking my hands in towards my roots. What I feel like this does is, I feel like it, gives me more of those big fat curl clumps. Instead of more skinny or stringy curls, I also feel like this kind of helps, stretch the root out a little bit and lets the air get in and dry it the rest of the way, also giving me really good volume. I do move my head in different directions, so I go from side to side or I'll flip upside down, and this is to kind of reassure that my roots aren't getting flat to my head and again I'm getting the volume that I'm looking for. As my hair gets too, nearly a hundred percent dry, all kind of leaned up and positioned some of my curls, where I want them to lay for the rest of the day. Now that my hair is 100 % dry, I'm going to shake out my roots. I stick my hands with my fingers, spread out into my hair and shake upside down and side to side to fluff them out, and this is my finished curls. I hope you guys enjoyed watching make sure you hit that subscribe button and hit that notification belt. So you never miss out on a new video and I will see you guys next time. Bye,

Trish Maley: Hi Kristyn - I am compelled to thank you for this fabulous video. I am 66 years old and spent most of my life thinking I had slightly wavy hair! Since I started using the curly girl method several years ago, I've realised that I have 2b/2c curls with some 3as. My curl pattern is very similar to yours. I have been trying to get this kind of curl/volume forever and this is the first video I have found that achieves the look I want, and following it I have got my desired result. THANK YOU!!!!! I am now subscribed to your channel and love your other videos. You have changed my life, darling girl!!

LetsBeHonest: Thank you for being straight forward without wasting our time with blabbing on x

N. Kotomi: I just diffused my hair for the first time ever in 20 odd years. Followed your video and got stunning results! my wash day hair has never been so great, diffusing is part of my new wash day routine now! Thank you so much for this video, so helpful!

Joan Moran-Anderson: Thank you so much. I always dried my hair straight, did not even realize how curly my hair was until recently. I was struggling with using a diffuser to get it looking the way I wanted it to until I saw this video. Today is the first day I love my curls thanks to your video!

Elisabeth Eriksson: I really liked this tutorial! Easy, Quick and to the point. I've seen a lot of different techniques but I will definitely try this one. I think we are the same hair type so Hopefully this will work well on my hair. Excited to try difusing for the first time

S B: Yesss girl! I’m diffusing mine as I watch this, perfect timing! Thank you

N .H: I've literally been searching for a way to properly dry me hair without getting frizz for YEARS!! This is the only thing that works...honestly I'm amazed. Blown away. Shocked. I've had to live with my hair in a tight ponytail for the better part of my life, but how I can wear it down with confidence! Thank you so much! This means a lot BTW: Your hair and your skin are both absolutely GORGEOUS !! You're amazing. You are one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen, ever anywhere! I hope that blessing never fades away for you and that you and your loved ones are happy, safe, and healthy! Again, thank you so much

Gail Manning: Thank you! My hair is the same length as yours with 3a curls. I want volume over length and your technique is just right for me. So grateful to have found your video.

ymn: your hair and face are seriously something else! so pretty

Osnat Gerzon: Hi Kristyn! Great video, as always! you are so pretty and your hair is amazingggg!!! (Again and again ). You are also so cool and so is your hair!! I loveeeee watching you doing things with it! By the way, I love the fact that you are keeping it "messy" and not "standing" on the place. That's beautiful! I love it!!

Meri Piliouras: What hair dryer and diffuser to you use? What products - shampoo, conditioner, gel? Love the way your hair turned out. You should have a before and after pic! Amazing and beautiful!

Esellajessica: I seriously smiled 2 seconds in and was like "omgosh her hair looks just like mine when it's drying" I can't even tell you the struggle it's been to try and figure out the best way to style my hair- seeing yours look like mine in the beginning was just a relief lol

Kristin Bullock: Hi Kristyn! Gorgeous curls! I love watching your videos. Can you elaborate a little more on exactly what you're doing with your hands when you said you stick them in at the roots to get bigger clumps and avoid stringy curls please? Thanks!

M R: Loved it. It helped me a lot. Thank you.

Júlia Castro: We have the same hair type and I simply can’t get my hair this voluminous. I just had my last haircut and it was cute but I don’t think she did as many layers as necessary, maybe

R J: Finally found someone with a similar curl pattern to mine

PinkLotus: woww! your hair looks SO lovely!! thanks for the tips!

Jenna Legge: Your curls are my curl goals! Did you use any hair products before you starting drying? I watched twice and didn't see you or hear you mention using any but in your description you mention the bounce me curl cream. I have high porosity hair so I cannot imagine not using products...I feel like I'd be a frizzy mess lol

Fiona Brennan: Gorgeous hair!!

Abigail Andrews: Thank you so much! I just realized I was weighing my hair down because I wasn’t taking my shirt to it after it was 50% dry.

saphide: You have the most gorgeous curls ever!! :O

Schon Gross: Oh my gosh, thank you! I am 68 and just began to love my curly hair 2 years ago, after a lifetime of straightening my hair,. What is the towel you mention? Can you share what products you use to wash etc?

Strange Animations: Yay this was the only defuse tutorial I found with someone with my hair type, thank yooouuuu!! :D

Lithostoic: Very nice! You have beautiful hair. My hair is hip length and I just can't seem to get diffusing right. Maybe it would help if I had layers. My hair takes FOREVER to diffuse even on high heat and due to my disability I can't hold my head upside down for very long.

I of Hands: How long does this take overall?

Tammy SK: Gorgeous! Does your Conair diffuser attachment work with other brand of hair dryer? I really like the one you're using.

Anka Van Gemert: Hi! Watching this from the Netherlands. Do you do anything to keep this volume during the day? Hairspray?

Patty Gil de Montes: Do you use a particular product on your hair before drying??

Francy: Wish she said what products she uses!

Roxane Lanctôt: Awesome curly hair !

Toni Roohr: So pretty!

Erza Scarlet: When my hair is short, it's curly, but when it's long it's slightly wavy, i wonder if it would be curlier if i used a diffuser

Amani Elmustapha: Is it even possible for someone to have such pretty hair

DidiMaggie: Hi! I was wondering, can you do this after using a curl cream? I use cantu shea curl activater, wondering if I can still do this?

Kimber Lee: Very pretty hair!

Andrea Caram-Andruet: What products do you use when you diffuse your hair?

Lara Sedaghat: can you provide information as to what diffuser and dryer you use, please?

Carol R.: Products used?

kichi: I have 3a hair and on top of that I have a LOT of hair so it’s just a horrid jumbo mess all the time

Carissa Valov: Dream curls!!!!

abcameo: Can you tell us (show us!) some details about your haircut? I want to steal it. :-)

Natasha Woodford:

Sarah O’Hara: I don’t understand what you mean by cast. I thought that was from gel but I didn’t see you put gel in, right?

Darius: Do we need the black thing you have on your dryer?

Weirdest Weirdo: I couldn’t figure out my curls so I chopped all my hair off... I now look like a dude.

Kelly C: Omg that’s cute. Like really cute.

Mayou tube: Het is more easy and simpele like they use in de salon Divacurl old Fashion-way heatheater. Just sit onder it on a chair and look at your nice diffusing job.

natalie: Your hair is so cute I wantttt

Doe John: Marilyn Monroe !

Angharad Swansea: What kind of towel? Kameestry?

Jesus Christ: I don't know if I'm the only one but... I didn't find this video helpful. I wish you would have showed us in normal speed what you do while talking as you do it. After you had given a good explanation while diffusing then you could speed it up. When you come to something new that you start doing you could then slow the video and talk about what your doing & why. If I didn't know anything about diffusing this wouldn't have made any sense. We can only see you flip your head and quickly move the blow drier but we have no sense on when you flip your head or the actual time you leave it in each place. My hair is your length and your exact curl pattern but I find it hard to get volume, I wish this video could have helped me that, but it didn't. Sorry Kristyn, your still a great youtuber but there we all need improvement.

Marcelo Arnez: What an absolutely useless video you didn't even mention your products used before diffusing even though you talked about it numerous times during the process not once did you say the product name and not even a link in the bio
