Greetings earthlings, so today I'm going to be showing you one of my favorite hairstyles and it is from an artist. A lot of you may know of her. Her name is Tori Kelly. I followed her on YouTube forever now and now she's kind of getting more notice and recognized, so I've always loved her hair. Her hair is awesome. I have been doing this hairstyle for a while now and I always get asked to do a tutorial on it. So today, I'm going to show you how I get that big wavy slash curly hair. So I just washed my hair - and I always like just do this style with fresh hair, so wash your hair and then you're gon na want to use some type of volumizing mousse gel. My favorite is, and I've use this and mention this in other videos. Is the john frieda luxurious volume visibly full touchably soft root? Booster blow-dry lotion looks like this and they spray that into the roots. You don't want to put it on the length of your hair. You want to focus this product just on the roots and I put it in the roots all over my head, so I'm not just up top but on the sides and in the back as well put it in when your hair is like 80 % dry. You don't want to put it in damp hair because in the water is just going to dilute the product, so put it in when air is about 80 % dry, massage it into your roots and then blow-dry. Your hair, I like to both my blow dry, my hair upside down. So and then this is what you should end up with, and it should be really really big and we are going to add some curls /wave way. Now. What you're going to need is a waver. This is a Revlon waver. You can purchase this, I think for like 20 bucks at Walgreens Walmart wherever and yeah, it's just a big flavor. They have different sizes. You can also purchase one. That'S smaller barrels and you're gon na get smaller curls. I like the larger one because it gives more volume and used have the the waves going on what we're gon na do is section our hair okay. So I've already done this side and I'm going to show you how to do that on this side, and so I'm just gon na take the section above the ear and it kind of stops where my head starts to curve. So take the waver place it at the roots, be careful cuz. This thing gets super surprised and I'm just gon na hold it for about 10 seconds, and then I'm gon na lift up and I'm gon na place the barrel right. Where that last wave stopped and again hold for 10 seconds, so you should get sudden of weight and I'm going to see if you have thicker hair you're, not gon na, be able to just to two sections on the bottom. So you might want to break it up and I'm going to start arch of the eyebrow, bring it back arch of the eyebrow and back so now we have three sections and tie off the middle okay. So again, for me, I have thin hair, I'm only gon na I'm just gon na section this in two and if you have thicker hair you're gon na have to either section is here in the middle and dude like four but my hairston. So I'm good with two: you don't want to take too little area. You don't want to take too much good section like that again closest to the rule. As you can stand so now you can take the middle section and we're going to section this off. Taking that second piece, I want the root to curl up instead of under. So that's why I'm curling it with the waver facing this way and we're dead, and it's really important to let you know, especially the top part cool off. The sides are pretty much cool, but let this top part cool off before you start messing with it. Okay, now you should have some big, crazy, wavy hair, I'm just going to shake it out and Tori Kelly has her part right here. So I've been doing my hair like this for a long time, so my part just kind of does that and then right here, where it does part you're gon na want to. I use the John Frieda volume all-day hairspray holds naturally volumizing hairspray love this stuff. I got this at Walgreens, it's good stuff, so spray really lightly. You don't you don't want to wait in here down too much a big, crazy hair. You can also pull this to the side if you like lit all so. It'S all going this way like, so so it's all just to your your right or your left. You can even get this and kind of pin it back the tutorial on how to fake, like this side, shave. If you want to watch that, you could definitely do that too. This hairstyle make it look a little bit edgier um, so so yeah, that's how I get my big poofy curly hair. I have the same kind of hair Tori Kelly has and wanted a hair style more current than what my hair stylist was giving me. It seems at 57, stylist don't care to keep a lady my age updated.
