How To Fit Long Hair Into A Short Wig

Hi, i am heather with Temecula, wigs and more. This is my sister Hilary and today we are going to discuss how to get all of this hair inside of a short hair wig. Some people think they have limited options once they have this much hair and it would never work to have a short hair cute burgundy wig. But we're going to show you what we do in that case and how to wrap the hair so that you can fit any style. You choose now she's got long hair all the way down to her way. What you'd want to avoid is putting your hair in a bun and leaving it like this, because what happens is that the wig is going to extend out and you'll have a bubble in the back of your head. The best way to do this is to part it down the middle. Just like this, it doesn't have to be exact, it doesn't have to be precise. The left side goes to the right and the right side goes to the left, so you're going to wrap the hair. This way, if you do it, while the hair is just a little bit damp, then it lays flatter to the head, especially we have curly hair. So we're going to go ahead and start pinning so to keep it as close to the head as possible, you're going to start Bobby pinning you can use as many bobby pins as you want. I like to use less a lot of people will use. You know. 50 or 60, I don't think you need that many and especially if you have a lace cap or if you have a cap, that you really want to make sure you don't rip you're not going to use too many bobby pins, I find that you can get Away with just using about six or seven, you don't want to put any up top. Sometimes they poke through the top. Before the hair gets a chance to change its mind and decide it's going to come back down, you can opt to wear a wig cap. On top, and that will keep the hair nice and flat, or you can just put the wig right over, I like using a wig cap. A lot of my customers feel like with the wig cap that it helps the way to stay on just a little bit. Longer so we're going to put a wig cap over this style and that will protect the cap from getting pins poking through also so now you have your hair, nice and flat. Okay. So now that we have our hair all pinned down, we put the cap on to protect the inside of this cap so that there's no bobby pins poking through you're not going to see one flying out here and there. Now we go ahead and we apply the big when you, when you can, before you put it on you, go ahead and tuck these little side hairs in. If you decide to wear a wig that matches your biological hair color. A really neat trick is to leave some of the hairline out. So if this was her hair color, we would leave a couple of strands out on the side of her own hair. So that creates a really natural hairline, but because we went with magenta we're going to go ahead and tuck those hairs in a lot of people, wonder where does the hairline go? A really good rule is for fingers for head, so go ahead and put your four fingers starting from your eyebrow, so we're going to lift her hair lines just to about where her top finger is and that's where the hairline goes.
