I am about to reveal to you five hair hacks that will give you a facelift about five minutes. I call it five minute facelifts, let's dive in now, I started doing hair in 1995 and over the past. Well, a long time. I'Ve learned these hacks and I've used them to help numerous clients and the best part is they're all very simple for you to achieve, and there's no surgery involved. Okay, so hack number one is simply styling your hair off of your face, as opposed to into your face now I know some of you might be thinking well, I prefer my hair into my face for around multitude of different reasons. Maybe it's because it works better with your face shape, or maybe it's because you feel like the softness kind of softens you up or it's just part of your look, not saying that styling hair into your face is a bad move. However, styling your hair back off of your face opens your face up and, in many cases, can really help to accentuate cheekbone structure. Now, if you do feel like you need hair into your face, there are ways of styling, some of it back off of your face, while pulling some pieces down to kind of soften up the overall skin tape, but still achieving the same results. Oh and by the way, if you're new to me and wondering who is this random guy talking about hair, especially to women, on the middle of the woods, my name is Justin Hickox and, as I say, I've been doing here since 1995 and at the end of The day I just like to get outside, so I prefer to bring you on adventures. While I teach you about hair, it's just a different background than my salon, but the exact same info so makes me feel good getting out in the fresh air, and I hope to make you feel good by bringing you some pretty views there. You go. Okay, with that said, dive into hack number two now hack number two is pulling your hair back into a tight ponytail. Now many of you probably already know this hacking and don't worry you're not going to know the rest of them. I can promise you the last two I almost guarantee you've never heard before, but in this scenario, the reason that this actually creates the illusion of such a facelift, partly is because it simply pulls your skin back and kind of pulls your face back. It just does a great job of smoothing the skin out and just giving you this illusion of kind of having your facelift. Now, with that said, you might be thinking yeah, that's great, but I don't personally love my hair pulled back tight one because it doesn't feel good and two because I just don't like the way it looks, but don't worry. I'Ve got you covered because that takes us into hack number three: okay and hack number three: we're kind of piggybacking off of that hack number two with pulling your hair back, but you're gon na leave it a little bit looser and what you're going to do is You'Re actually going to kind of taper the sides around the ears and leave the top with a little bit more volume or lift. So if you can get a little bit of lift in this kind of pulled back pseudo updo, if you will and taper those sides in at the very around the ear area, this will actually do a fantastic job of loosening up the overall shape, but also creating A little bit more accentuation around the cheekbone structure, kind of follows the lines of the face, and this is hugely important and, as I said, the last two you likely have almost positively I've never heard before and well it just kind of heard a little bit of One of them, so, let's Dive In to hack four and five, oh, and if you are interested in learning more about hair, hair, hacks, hair tips or how you can look more youthful by modifying your hair, uh yeah. That'S what I do here so give me a big favor go ahead and hit that subscribe button and join the family, so hack, number four is simply creating more volume right around the temple area. Basically, right here now, the reason this is absolutely vital to creating this illusion is because when we create volume around the temples, it has a tendency to lift the eye up. And when I say that I mean it has a tendency to lift the eye of the person who is looking at you, it lifts their eye up or their focus up the face. This is what creates the illusion of it lifting your face. The reason for this is because it follows your bone structure. If you look at your jawline and your cheekbone structure, both of those have a tendency to lift up. So when we kind of follow those and place the focus up around where those lean towards, then we're going to lift that eye up and therefore, like I said, create that illusion of a facelift. That is what takes us into hack number five which, like I said before, I do consider this kind of the secret sauce. Now you might have been asking yes, but I have a really hard time, creating volume in the temples or on the top. That'S kind of my problem or yeah, but I need volume on the side, so I have a tendency to create more volume on the sides because it works with my longer face shape. But don't worry. This is how you create the illusion of more volume in the temples, even if you don't have more volume in the temples, and that is simply by alleviating the volume in the sides, but at an angle. Okay, that's confusing. Follow me here when we alleviate the volume from the sides take that volume out of the sides, but at an angle where it dips a little bit tighter towards the ear. This is very similar to the looser hair pulled back hack that I talked about in hack number three, but when we do this again, it's still allowing for some volume on the side. So it still helps to create that volume. That'S going to offset the length in your face, but, most importantly, that line on the sides is drawing emphasis to more volume in the temple, even if there isn't more volume in the temple and, more importantly, even than that, it's also following the lines of the jawline Or the bone structure and the cheekbone structure so again, this lifts the eye up, creates the illusion of your face being lifted up, and that means it creates illusion of you getting a facelift there. You go tell me that isn't a winner, I know that's a winner. Okay, now, if that is something that you want to see in action, I'm going to go ahead and put this right here. Go ahead and click on that link and uh yeah you'll be able to see a lot more of this and how it actually works in real life. And while you do that, I'm going to go ahead and uh hang out here. Enjoy the fresh air and check out that view because it does not suck alrighty, you have a fantastic week, I'll see you next Tuesday take care thanks for hanging out. I appreciate that man that does not suck does it so come on.

Justin Hickox: Ok, what’s you’re favorite hack???

Andrea Long: Thanks for another great video of visual "hacks", Justin. I have actually used #2 (tight ponytail), #3 (softened ponytail), #4 (volume around the temples), and #5 (having angles in the right places) and realized that I looked better. You clarified why those were working for me! I have been watching your videos for a few months now, and really love your tips. I have been wanting to change the profile of my hairstyle to enhance my face shape, and finally did it last night with great results!

Lori: Five minutes? No. I flipped my hair and tucked one side behind my ear......30 seconds!!! Liked it so much I changed my profile picture. Thanks Justin!

Eileen Carroll: Great video explains subtle effects. Have you done a video explaining the combination of jewelry shapes (especially earring) withhair shapes? How about different shapes of hair bands and other accessories? I love how you make explanations so easy to understand.

Carol Wiebe: I went without a "style" so I could grow out my pixi long enough for a high ponytail. Instant face lift! I added a fringe and face framing pieces and for the first time I love my hair.

Julie Barnard: Thank you Justin! I have a very long narrow face that is sometimes hard to flatter and I am growing out some layers I don’t like. This helped a lot!

Cindie P: Great tips! Love the outdoor presentation❤it doesn’t suck

Genevieve Doyon: ❤️ these hacks, keep them coming!

Music Lover: I wish I could do a ponytail. Never have been able to pull it off as I have fine hair. Pretty dense at the crown, but less volume in the back and my skull is flat in the back. I have to fluff the pony and make a big messy bun to hide the flat head, but fine hair likes to slip out of place without a ton of product. A half up, half down works though and easier for me. Love a side part one side tucked behind my ear. My problem is I often end up tucking both sides to keep hair out of my face and well..that’s not a style at all. Lol.

Mary McKay: I do a half up hairstyle. I take the front third to half of my hair and comb it into a ponytail near the top of my head. Although I don’t put it up as tightly as my mom used to when I was a kid.

Melissa Gurney: Great tips! Definitely going to give tip 5 a try. As always that view doesn’t suck!

Nancy Andersen: Five is a good one for me as I have a longer face and baby fine hair which makes getting and keeping volume really hard. Thanks for the tips.

Emma Baxter: Justin Hickox, That was really great because I have actually known these tips since I was 16 because my mother always told me, and I did not listen, to get my hair off my face. I'm 70 now and only this year, have I done what she told me, and hey, volume at the temples and hair off the forehead? it works!! Thank you. btw I must change my profile photo. :)

Cindy C: Congrats on 300k Justin! Well deserved

Linda Chartier: Justin I love your content, however the volume is always a lot lower than every other video I watch.

Janice Millican: Thank you for the great tips!

Angi Catron: I like to eliminate the volume on the sides, that seams to work best for me. Now using your wife as the model……. She could be completely bald and still be beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your love for life and family. Good bless you and merry Christmas

Siobhan MacAndrew: Hello Justin - hope you don’t find this comment impertinent. As I watched your face today I thought you were looking a bit ‘under the weather’ as we say in the UK. Hope I am wrong, and you are in the best of health. Wishing you calm and contentment in 2023.

Nancy Dann: My biggest lesson from this series is I have to assess my hair after I style it. Straight hair used to look great on me but now in my mid-60's, I find my natural wave suits me better. My hair is a few inches past my collar bone. When the layers get a little longer and a "triangle" begins to form, I make sure I add lift at the crown and above my ears. That makes a big difference. It just means I take out the curling iron or blow dry some bend in that area to get that lift to balance my style.

Linda Marocco: #5!!!!…that is my favorite tip for me!!!!…wooohooo!…I appreciate the fact that you always include Grey hair!…I knew from the beginning you were the best!!!!…love the cinematic experience today!…I love snow!..you are right, “it does not suck”…much love and appreciation to you!!!!

Eila Kenslow: No surgery face lift? Sign me up! Get it? up? Ha ha ha

Julie Meyers: You give us all new hints and ideas.

cdn0987: Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Jimmy Green: Wow! Easy and effective.

Nat 20: Wow that view does not suck merry Christmas to you and your family

Laureen Kummer: I have curly hair and the volume is around my chin. Really struggle with getting volume at my temples, especially in the winters dry weather.

Rebecca Podleckis: Wonderful video and Merry Christmas . I have weird waves starting at ears and down to the ends. I love my stylist , I usually let him do what he wants, amazingly awesome. I do get bored easy. I have a lot of thick hair, I get warm chestnut lowlights that peek through the bronde gray and little choppy edges with face frame. I'm 66 and lucky to have great hair, I take good care of it. I live in the south so it does get fuzzy and big hair mode, keratin blowout is my best friend. Just thought if you have any ideas to switch it up a bit. Wish I could post photo

Jeanie Smith: Thank you Justin. That is some awesome tips!

Mary DePaul: Love his hair tips!

Teena Covert: Flat hair is so aging!

Blake Hahn- Atlanta, Ga: Great tips! Thanks!

Tana Suter: Kicking’ music, Justin! Really like #3 and 5.

Linda Straub: I think the first model was your mom !

Jenn: That view does NOT suck

Chris p: Great video!!

Rae Edelman: I like the half-up!

Stewart Plaid Publishing: Great tips. Where are you in that view? Guessing southern Utah or high country Arizona. It's beautiful!

Tann Smith: Come oin! Haha
