Hi guys it's man welcome back to my channel and happy holidays. It'S definitely getting close to the holiday season. Everything'S in full swing, holiday shopping, I'm sure you guys have like parties, family dinners stuff like that. If you guys are working professionals, I'm sure you have like holiday parties to go to and all that fun stuff. For me, any excuse is a good excuse to dress up and kind of do my hair and makeup. Even if it's just me and my husband going out to dinner, I like to look nice and it's just one of my favorite hobbies is just hair and makeup. But obviously that's the point of this channel. Just sharing with you guys my favorite stuff and looks that I like, and what I'm wearing so for this particular video. I just wanted to show you guys a couple hairstyles that you could maybe wear if you are going to like a holiday party or dinner or really you could do this any time of the year. I wear these a lot. I used to wear headbands and kind of hair bands and stuff like that, a lot when I have longer hair just because I found that after a while of it just kind of hanging there. I just wanted it off my face and back, and I think that headbands and cute hair bands are a really cute way to kind of jazz up a really plain outfit or you know if you're working it's great for second and third day hair, because you can Really kind of hide the gross Nisour, your hair, if it's looking, not so great or if you're, just kind of having one of those hair days where your hair is like limp and lifeless, I think that a headband is a great way to kind of just. I don't know, burst your hair up and kind of get you through till the next time you wash and blow-dry it. Oh, my no personally for me, I'm gon na be traveling a lot over the holidays. So I like to keep a couple of these both clean and a little bit like more fancy with me, just because they're really easy and lightweight to pack, and I find that when I do my hair and like shower at other people's houses. Even if it's like my parents, or if you're sitting in a hotel room - and you don't bring your own blow-dryer - you guys no, those stupid hotel, blow-dryers a they always seem to like suck my hair up in the back, and I feel like I'm gon na, lose All my hair, I hate those they literally terrify me or it's like they blow drying your hair, and then your hair is just so like lifeless and it just seems like dead and it's just hanging there. So I don't know that always seems to happen to me. If I don't bring my own stuff or the worst is when you go to someone's house and you're going to use like their straightener or something like that, it's just not what you're used to and I feel like you are thinking too much about it and can't Get your hair to do what you want. So basically, this tutorial is just kind of a last resort for like a holiday thing, where I need you to look nice, but maybe your hair is not really cooperating with you, so I'm going to show you first a couple of the headbands that I have like. I said I used to wear these a ton when I had long hair and when I worked retail, I wore my hair like this all the time, because I know definitely working like Black Friday and just the closer you get to the holidays, the more insane it Gets the last thing I ever wanted was my hair just like hanging in my face you're running around wrapping gifts finding stuff for people online orders, I just it gets crazy, so you know I just really preferred to have my hair out of my face. So these I mostly wore when I worked at Nordstrom and I worked in a bunch of other stores and stuff like that, while I was in college, so none of these are available right now, but you guys can find these at anywhere. So this little headband is really cute and I think I picked this up at j.crew. I want to say probably two Christmases ago and it's just a really fun little headbands. This one is also from j.crew, if I remember correctly - and it just has a small little silver bow - I'm pretty sure that this one is from forever 21 and it's just kind of one of those banded ones and then another headband that I have that I used To wear a lot was this one, which is super fun. It just has like sequins on it, and it just lays pretty, and it's almost if you have darker hair and they kind of just when they catch the light. It just a really fun pop to your outfit and your look without like being over the top, so if you had blonde hair, obviously this would like really be a statement. Piece would be really pretty. It just gives a really nice little pop of sparkles. So I love that one and then you could always just do I mean I have a bunch of these plain black ones, they're not as dressy, obviously, but you could do any of these hairstyles with a plain just black. You know this is like a goody one that you get at Walmart or Target, and if you have this a more casual day - and you just don't know what to do with your hair or maybe you work in an environment where you don't have to be business. Casual or anything like that, you could always just use a plain headband like this. Okay, so the things you'll need other than your favorite headbands would just be some hairspray, a teasing comb. This one, I think, is just from Target, and then I have a couple bobby pins and the hair ties so first, what I'm gon na do is tease my hair. You guys know if you've seen any of my other videos. That'S my first thing that I always do is just tease my whole head and then I find it's just easier to style your hair. However, you want it so I'm just gon na quickly tease all my head. I always start down the center and then do the side. It'S kind of like create a mohawk and then work my way to the sides, and with this it just totally depends on your personal style. If you don't like big hair, then don't tease your hair, you like really big hair, then tease it a lot. So it just depends on your taste. Basically how big you want your like pouf today and then I always do the sides. You guys can see this really doesn't say any time at all. I just think it's really important to get a good teasing comb, because that does all the work for you. I love this one. If you're teasing your hair, really big or you know you're gon na be wearing it up, I find that these plastic teasing multiple row, combs kind of just get the job done really easily without having the tub in your hair too hard. The other teasing brush that I use a lot, it's good if you're, just wearing your hair down or you know, you're gon na be smoothing your hair, but if you want to add a lot of volume quickly, I think that this 3 row comb is really the Best way to go because it's like 1 2 3 and look it's huge so alright, there you go all teased its massive and you can comb this out as much or as little as you want. Ok, ok! So now the first look, I'm gon na show you guys is just basically your hair down with a headband. Now I like to just put the headband in like that and then depending on your, like, I said your style, your taste, you can leave this as big as you want to leave it um. Now. I probably wouldn't wear this headband with a necklace, this big, but you guys get the idea. So there you go kind of looks like a helmet, but I kind of love it and you just want to just look at the shape, because, if you're gon na be taking pictures and stuff like that, I think just like the shape of your hair is important. So just make sure you don't have any crazy pieces sticking out anywhere and I don't know I kind of really like this. I think it's fun it's. It kind of reminds me, like 60s mod, which I love their makeup and like hair from era. I just think it's fabulous, so you could definitely just leave it like this spray it. How do you want it, and then you know, since you sprayed and teased your hair, it will stay like this, for you guys if you use a strong hold hairspray. So that's the look number one. The next thing that you could do is just go from this and do kind of that half-up half-down little poof and just gather the hair and take a couple bobby pins and then just pin it okay. So now, if your hair is really long, and maybe you have too much weight up top and it's just not falling how you like, you, can always pin the back up like that and just have the front, you know really clean and still a classic shape and Then it still looks pretty and festive, and you have that little sparkle detail now. Obviously you guys can use any headband that you want, depending on what you're wearing or what you have already at home. I think it looks cute or if you have daughters, I'm sure they have headbands. You can always borrow one of theirs. Okay, so that would be. The second option would just be to pin it up and do kind of a little half-up half-down poof. So I'm gon na take this down and then show you a completely with your hair, completely up. Okay. So now for the third look, I'm going to show you guys, you just have a headband. That goes all the way around, or you could still do this with the other headbands um. You still have that shape from the tease and I'm just gon na simply gather my hair back, and you could even just do like a sleek little ponytail like that and do the ponytail, which would still be cute and it's a little bit more dressy, because you Have your headband in or you could just tie it back into a little fun and then, with those little pieces hanging down you just pin them up and then you would just spray it and you have a cute little. You know a little bit more of a polished button if you want to tuck all those pieces in, if you guys have longer hair, definitely use a sock, bun and that'll give you just a really sleek, pretty polished little. You know fun in the back. I think this is also great if you're working on and like I said you can easily swap out a plain headband like this. If you are just you know, you work in a place, or maybe you don't have to dress up, and maybe something like this is just way too over-the-top. You can always just use a headband like that and it'll just give you a really nice pretty polished. Look where you still look done and professional, but your hair is completely out of your face and you don't have to worry about it. So I hope that this tutorial helped you guys, umm. I love doing my hair like this and just kind of extending it out. Another day I don't have to watch me blow-dry, my hair. That saves me time and kind of hassle that I don't have to really worry about that. I can do other things, so I hope that this maybe gave you guys a couple ideas. So the number one thing to all my looks is just tease your hair. That way you get that shape and that volume that you want and then basically the rest is just you know how your hair falls. So I hope that you guys enjoyed this tutorial and that it was helpful for you guys. Thank you. So much for watching and I'll see you the next one bye
