I Saved My Hair With These Styles..How To Style Two Strand Mini Twist / Micro Locs

Hello guys, my name is Angela of Afro league and I am the one you should listen to when it comes to Growing healthy, long, natural hair. In today's video I'm going to be teaching and showing you the various Styles, you can wear your mini twist in because I know that for a lot of people when they install militarys, they do not just want to wear their mini twist down like this, because this Is kind of basic - let's be honest, this is like a basic hairstyle, just leaving your head down and they feel your head down over a period of time. You might feel the need to want to switch things up and just appear different. So in this video I'm going to be showing you various hairstyles, you can wear your mini twist in in this video we're going to have 10 different hairstyles. That is what I have in my mind, but I know that once I start styling my hair, various hairstyles are going to come to mind and also the hairstyles are going to be divided into two sections. The first section we have the basic set. So in this section you do not need any skill, any breathing skill. These are just simple hairstyles. You can throw your hair in and then the second section is the intermediate section. So in this section, you're going to see a lot of braided styles. So, let's just jump right into this video one of the things you should consider when it comes to styling. Your mini twist is to work with your hair, as though it is loose do not feel like the hairstyles. You should create with your minutes, which should be limited. The first hairstyle I'm going to bring is the classic high ponytail. One thing I normally do, when I put my mini twist in a classic high ponytail, is to leave some random pieces out, and this used to be very cute when my hair was shorter. But now that my hair is long, it just feels weird to leave some pieces out. So if your hair is short, you can just leave some random pieces out strategically leave those pieces out so that I will look effortless. Let me just pull out about three pieces yeah, three or four. I do not have a hair tie, so I just use some pieces of my hair to secure the ponytail, and I know some people would not advise this. I also would not advise that you do this frequently, but this is just one time. So, let's just install that now, because some of these pieces are like really long and it just looks weird just hanging - I'm going to push in about two thirds of my hair back into the ponytail. This way the pieces are like shutting. So this is what the first style looks like very basic. You do not need any technical skills to install this. Let me just do a 360 for you, so from this basic ponytail, you can decide to just do a high bun. You take the ends of your ponytail and just wrap it around itself. Then you can like pull out some pieces so that the bun does not look tight and it can look effortless and with the bun you can see the pieces of hair. I left out earlier, like it now makes a lot of sense on camera still on the basic hairstyle. The next hairstyle I like to do with my mini twist. Is a half up half down so you're, going to take some section of hair in front from ear to ear a bulk of your hair will be left at the back. So now you have the bulk of your hair left at the back the half down, and then this is the half up use an elastic band to secure the top. So this is why the final hairstyle looks like this is the half up for me. I like to wear it to the side. I feel like it fits my face more that way you can divide the half up into two. I just wear both to the side or you can just put everything behind, but for me I like to wear the half up just on one side, something that I can also do with your half up. Half down is to get a scarf and then fold your calf into a band and just have that wrapped around the half up. So you can just go with a scarf that matches with the color of your dress. That way it will be so cute. So you can have it tied this way or you can just leave the ends of your scarf at the back, whichever one you like my scarf does not really match my outfit, so you may not get the image I'm trying to build, but if you wear colors That match it will look so cute or instead of doing the scarf. You can just put your half up into a bun, so this is what that looks like. I do not really like this particular variation of the half up half down, simply because I feel it makes my face look longer than I would want it to, but yeah. You can also try out this one. Another variation like there are multiple variations of the half or path down. When you have your hair in the half full pack, now you can just pull out. You can pull out a Twist or two depending on the size, I'm pulling out two twists, because my twists are like really tiny, so just pull out two twists, and this is another look on its own, but I really like this one. It looks so cute. One thing I'd like to point out in this video is that I don't want you to think that any of this hairstyle looks good simply because my hair is long. The truth is that most of these styles are styles, that I do with my mini twist. Even from when my hair was really short, sometimes I will feel that my hair getting longer is taking away from the beauty of some of these hairstyles another style. You can put your hair in so just put your hair in two pigtails, and I know this look. May not be seen as professional by lots of people, but I really do like this hairstyle, because it just makes me feel young and alive come on. Tell me this is not cute. This is so cute. I feel like I'm 16 again. What look at there are people who say setting hairstyle are childish, certain hairstyles are for children, certain accessories are for children and for me, I did not subscribe to any of those. I feel that your hair should be an expression of you. So if you like, certain hairstyles that are considered childish, wear them, if you like certain accessories that are considered childish, wear them at the end of the day does not matter, because there are so many other things going on in the world that we should be worried About and your hairstyle or the accessory you decide to, you should not be one of them another variant of this hairstyle. Is you just wrap your hair in a bun? I do not like to wrap my bone tightly so that my bun has some fun elements to eat so with the pigtail style. You can also do like a half up half down situation like I showed you earlier. So you have some food to the back and then just have this wrapped in a bun repeat the same thing funny other side. I also like to leave out um some hair strands. So this is what that looks like it's like a really fun flowy hairstyle. To do and does not require that much skills. Another simple hairstyle that you can do that does not require that much of a skill is to get your scarf fold it into a triangle. I just wrap it around your head, foreign. I usually did yeah so cute. Let me give you a 360., but you make sure you tie the scarf around your forehead like your pirate, so this is another fun hairstyle you can do. Even if your hair is short, it's still, it is still going to look good. Can you see it still looks good, even if you have short hair, we have done a lot of basic hairstyles. So now it's time for us to do some intermediate hairstyle. That would require you to know how to braid and also flat twist your hair they're, going to take out two front pieces they're also going to take out a little section of hair in front. This is an elastic band to secure it. So you have these front sections now to the back. Now, with the hair that is left, you could either twist upward or braid upward. For me, I prefer to braid upward because braids are a lot more secure, so I like to do the inverted braids, so the next style I'm going to show you this one. You have to know how to braid and there are two variations to this hairstyle. So you start braiding from the front, never really notice what you want with you. I don't know almost halfway through with the braids you're going to stop and then use a tiny elastic band to secure the hair like so then you do the same. For the other side, and with this one you're done with the hairstyle, you can leave this hairstyle like this or you can decide to just put everything in a low ponytail or if you do not want to leave your hair in a low ponytail. You can turn this into a bun yeah or you can have it as two separate buns. Oh, you can also decide to braid the hair to the end. So, instead of leaving the elastic to stop it at the middle, you can decide to just braid down to the end. Remember what I said earlier about styling your mini tooth. That'S in order for you not to be limited with the number of styles you can do. You have to treat the mini twist as though your hair is loose, never really notice. What you want with you. I don't never feel calm. So this is what it looks like when you have everything braided down. You can decide to leave the ends like this or you can just wrap it together, play with me, like cats and a string, you don't understand another way you can style. Your mini twist is just put all of your hair in one big braid, so you can braid from front to back and you can also braid from back to front so I'll show you what that looks like so from front to back. You can leave the ends like this or you can just have it talks in the braids into the braids, or you can do an inverted braids from Back to Front I'll. If your hair is short - and it's not as long as this, you can just talk it back into the braids, but if it is as long as this can just have it wrapped any way you like, like there's, no method to the wrapping, you just wrap it. The way you like, so you wrap and you talk it into these braids and then this other section also you can decide to wrap it like so, and this used to be one of my favorite hairstyles to wear and with this particular style, if done properly. Your twist can be in this particular style for over a week, and you don't have to worry about it like you, just go to bed, sleep, wake up and you go about your day. The only thing you probably this is just when you brush your edges, but other than that you don't even have to stress once your hair is in this hairstyle. I really really do love this hairstyle. I also of all the hairstyles I've done so far. This is my favorite hairstyle. I put my hair in a high bun and then, when my hair was shorter, I used to just leave my hair hanging and I see bang, and it was really really cute well now that my hair is no longer short. I don't even know how many hairstyles I have showed you guys, and this is just to tell you the possibilities when it comes to styling your mini twist.
