Everyday Loose Curls For Short Hair With A Straightener!

Hey everyone, its Brittany and welcome back to my channel today I have a hairstyle video. This is how I get my everyday waves or soft curls. However, you want to call it. This is the hairstyle that I've been obsessed with ever since pretty much the first time. I cut my hair short. I love this hairstyle on this length of hair and it is very easy to do. If you haven't already watched my how to curl hair with a straightener and curling one video, then you can definitely check that out. It'S one of my most popular videos on my channel. I will have it linked in the description box below I go a little bit more into detail on how to actually curl hair with a straightener or a curling wand. This is a little bit more of a like, simpler version, in my opinion, or at least a simpler type of curl, it's very easy to get. I will also link a video on how I like to keep my hairstyles for multiple days, so I give you like some tips and everything on how I like to do that. For me, I am currently filming in my boyfriend's house. This is where I will be filming for probably most of the summer. We are doing a lot of construction on my house, so I won't be in there for a while. So I will be probably right here. The first thing that I usually do is use a heat protectant and my hair, the one that I've been using lately is from Eva NYC. I got this from Sally Beauty Supply. I think that you can also get it from a lot of other places like all time, pretty sure and different places online, but this is the main magic ten-in-one primer, with argan oil and sunflower seed oil. I have different techniques to create the same like soft, wave or soft curl look on my hair, but most of the time I like to use a straightener, the ones that I really like are from GHD. This is the Platinum Plus. I have another one, that's red that most of you guys have probably seen in my I'll, have a link to this as well as any other thing that I mentioned in this video. I like to section my hair in half. Some people will do more, but since my hair is a lot shorter than it used to be, I find that half is perfectly fine to work with, and I just clip it up out of the way I like to work with one-inch sections of my hair. The first thing I do is actually just run the straightener through my hair, so that I get a really smooth surface and it also kind of straightens the end a little bit. I really like my ends to be fairly straight for this type of a soft wave. Like beachy hairstyle, so I will always do that to each piece before I actually curl it to actually curl it. I will always hold my straightener at an angle. It gives you the most like soft loose wave. So what I'm gon na do is clamp my hair on an angle like this and then I'm going to twist it just once so that the straightener basically flips around to the other side and I'm gon na run it through my hair. This is explained in much more detail in my how to curl hair with a straightener and curling one video. So if you want to watch that, definitely check that out, so I hold it at an angle. I clamp it down. I flip it to the other side and I run it through and leave about half an inch out at the bottom, and then I get a curl that looks like this. Then I will move on to another section about an inch wide and I'll run it through. So that the ends are straight I'll, clamp it on an angle, flip it backwards and run it through leaving about half of an inch out at the bottom, and that's it if sweaty armpits, oh, if it's more comfortable, you can also hold it vertically like this, and Then flip it to the back, so it flips over and then leave out the same like half an inch. It'S definitely not perfect, but this will work really well because it will add that texture and I just like to make sure that the ends are still fairly straight, so that it doesn't look too formal. I'M just gon na do a bunch of these on each side of my head, so you guys can see just how I do it without talking when I move to the back of my head, I start taking sections that are more horizontal, but are also still like A half-inch or sorry an inch sized section, and I will do the same thing - just run it through making sure it's smooth and the ends are straight and when I do the back, I will go around to the back side of my head. I will clamp it horizontally and flip the straightener over and run it through and you will still get the same kind of curl and then I just do that for the entire back of my head. So now I'm going to let down the top half of my hair and part it in the middle. I do like to clip up the one side that I'm not going to be working with, just so that it's not like in the way or anything and for some reason I like to start at the back when I do the top half of my hair. So taking an inch section that did not stay very well, just running it through to the very ends and for these back sections of the top half of my hair, I'm going to take my straightener from like above my hair and wrap it away from my face. Just once over and run it through, my hair, you could do this exact same technique on long hair as well or even hair. That is like a little bit shorter than mine too. I think I'm just gon na leave this and I do the same thing leading up all the way to the front of my face. I also like to curl these pieces of my hair from the opposite side and add a downward angle, but I will start like halfway down the actual, like bang part of my hair, and I will only twist it about half way and pull all the way through. That way, it will blend with the rest of my hair a little bit better and have like a nice soft face framing shape. Once all the curls are cooled. I will just judge it with my fingers, are kind of like run my fingers through it a little bit so that they fall and they're a little bit more soft and they look very like effortless. So I'm gon na go ahead and do the same thing to this side of my hair, and I will be right back, and that is how I do my everyday loose waves or curls. They are so easy to do. They take seriously no time, especially if your hair is around my length. This is my favorite type of hairstyle to wear with this length of hair, so I hope you guys enjoyed it.
