Straight here doesn't have to be boring; it can still have a lot of life and volume and move and shape, but it doesn't have to be flat just because you use the flat iron today, I'm walking you through the steps I take to ensure I have volume And lift to my hair, I can get an extra day out of it, but I'm using the flat iron to achieve this. Look so keep watching. If you want to see how to get this style roughly a hundred thousand years ago give or take a couple thousand years, I filmed a hair tutorial called very creatively how to apply aquage, uplifting foam and flat iron, your hair, lower that mate, I may have just Done my bangs, I can't remember, but I don't even think the video is too. I don't even think the video is still working, but I'm here today to redo it. So I've gotten a lot of questions about how I style my hair straight and still have volume in it. I wore my hair straight for so many years and then I've just been on this curly kind of beachy wave kick for the past couple, but now that it's getting a little longer, I've been doing a straight more often anyway. What'S the point of telling you this? I'M back to doing it straight, I'm getting more questions about it, so I have in front of me here for products that I always use, no matter what I try a lot of products. These are my four that I go to so, let's start with the blow-dry spray. This is the L'Oreal blow-dry it quick dry primer. I just lift my hair spray. This kind of mid-shaft tends all over. I see a big difference. Today'S that I use a blow dry primer and days that I skip it, then next up aquage uplifting foam. I discovered this root lifter at a hair show 15 14 years ago, and it has been an unbeatable root lifter for me. So what I do is divide. My hair into rough sections and then spray it right at my root area and then I go to the back and then once I've applied it, you can see it's all in there. Take your fingers rub it in so then I'll dry. It I'm using the t3 blow dryer this blow. Dryer has worked wonderfully for me for the past year or so, and then I have here a wet brush full of my hair. Sorry, this is a vented wet brush. You always want to use vented brush when you're blow-drying your hair, because that helps the air flow through. It makes your blow dry, maybe 30 seconds faster, but it helps every second helps right. So always do medium heat never put your blow dryer on the highest heat. It'S too hot, you don't need it. Instead use a blow dry primer, let's get blow drying, I'm not even lying. When I say I let my hair cool like this for a couple minutes, I even knew this in the gym. Locker room, I'm okay with it. So once it cools down a little bit start to expose myself by letting that hair cool forward hang on, it creates a really nice swoop later, when you actually style it. You also get tons of little hairs stuck to your eyelashes and lipstick, who doesn't love that another trick is, since I know this, hair is gon na. Go that way I'll, let it cool the opposite direction, just add a little more bump, so my tried-and-true all-time favorite flatiron is the GHD one-inch. I believe this is the classic. It might be. The professional I've had this for so long. No, this is the classic. I thought I had worn away it just says D now, but I know it's a GH D, so it does not have a heat setting. It just has an on/off button. You can tell it's on by that blinking light. I prefer tools with the heat setting, but I find that I can work pretty fast with this Flatiron, so I'm not just burning sections of my hair. So at this point, I'll grab this top part using a duckbill clip and separate this up flat iron in the bottom and then I'll do the top layer. This is pretty easy for me, because my hair is naturally straight if your hair is curly wavy frizzy, if you have any problems flat, ironing your hair, you want to divide it into at least three sections. I know that may sound like a lot of work, but I'm telling you if you take smaller sections, you can move fast and you will be much happier with the result. You may be able to get an extra day out of your hair if you have spent time doing it right, the first time I'll get off my soapbox. Let'S start flat ironing so I'll grab a section over here come through it. It always helps to come through it to make sure you don't you're, not pressing any tangles, and then I just run the iron over my hair. I have my wrist bent the whole time you can see the iron is bent, so I can get a little bend right at the end of there. I'M not a stick straight hair kind of gal, which is why I'm using the flat iron to bend the ends. A little bit around your face and it helps to pull that hair forward just to create a nice C shape, because my hair is naturally straight. It'S not vital for me to go very close to my root area, but if you have curly hair, wavy, hair, frizzy hair, you should really start closer to your root for flat ironing if you're just looking to bend the ends like I am today: you're, okay, starting Mid-Shaft, especially on this bottom layer that you can count on from here to here being covered by your top layers, all I'm doing is just grabbing sections from the back coming them out, putting the iron in turning my wrist about 45 degrees and then pulling the section Through so this left side flat iron with a little bend under this right side, nothing's been done to it except a blow-dry. You can see why use the flat iron to bend the ends. The smaller sections you take the more effective result. You'Ll have. This would depends on on your hair thickness and what issues you're battling with the flat iron. But if you take a really thick section through the iron - and it doesn't get straight it's because that heat is not getting to the middle of your hair. It'S just kind of pancaking or sandwiching the outside. So that's why taking thinner sections more of them allows you to be a little bit faster because you don't have to go over a section. You just knit my hairs. I'D say medium to fine. It Flatirons really easily, because it's straight so I can take semi big sections, bigger sections then I would take if I was curling if that makes sense. So all I'm doing is running that flat iron over I've got my wrist bent a little bit and I'm pulling it down. So I'm done with the bottom part. Now I'll, let down that top section establish my part, flip that hair to this right side and we'll start working on that. If you have trouble determining what has been flat iron and what you just drop down for your section, it's okay to use the duckbill clip should have done this before I let that section down and just clip that hair off. So you know you don't have to flat iron it again. I can pretty much tell, but if you can't tell just before you let that top section down slip a duckbill clip in there to keep it separated so working on the top section, I will be putting the flat iron in a little bit closer to the root To encourage some lift, so I've got a section here, holding it straight out from where it grows not down here, not over here straight up, putting the flat iron in lifting it up and then still following that same C shape. I'M using my other hand, to hold that section. Can you see that and then, when you comment and drop it down, you have this beautiful section going towards your face and tons of lift right there at the crown. If you don't use a root lifter, you won't get that same hold. You could spray a little bit of a like a working hair spray, a lower number than say number 25, which is my favorite by camera. If you're using Kenwright, save number, eight or twelve, to give a little bit of hold so again flat, iron is at the root lifting it up and just bending those ends under the section taken care of no move on to the back. So lots of volume over here I haven't even put my texture spray or teased it. So you just do the same thing as you work, your way around your head, putting the Flatiron close and bending it up you so once the sides are flat, ironed grab the front section. If you have bangs this is my tip for bangs. I don't have bangs. They just kind of have a shorter face frame on this side, hold it lightly and pull it forward and do the same thing put the flat iron in at the root bend it down. So you've got this nice C shape sort of bending under your chin, and then you push it to the side, get a little hairspray in there. You'Ll have a nice swoop going away so that this trick works also for shorter hair. If you have proper bedding, so you could do this on both sides, so you kind of get that swoop going back, but because you let the hair cool after your blow dry going forward, it's not just gon na be kind of plastered back from your face. So whenever I stay on my hair straight, I know I'm going to not wash it the next day I'll either read Flatiron it or put a little wave in it, but I like adding a mica, I'm done texture spray. This has been a longtime favorite of mine, I'll just lift section of my hair spray, a little texture in there for me, because my hair is pretty straight on its own and then I've just flat ironed it. It wants to just be really lifeless and straight, and I like a lot of volume with my hair, which is typically why I curl it so the texture spray gives it a little lift. It keeps it from being super silky and kind of just hanging there. It gives it a little structure if that makes sense, it kind of gives it that day to feeling. So you can see even that I mean I flushed it up with my fingers, but even that gives it a little bit of shape. Then I'll use my comb and add a little bit of teasing again. This part, the optional depends on your hair type. Mine naturally wants to fall flat, would be really smooth and silky, which many people want for their hair. I want the opposite. I want texture and volume, so I'm just lifting up a section using the fine toothed part of my comb, combing, the hair toward my scalp to add a little volume, a little just a little. A lot of this will come down, you'll see so then after I tease, I use my fingers to smooth it all make sure you can't see any teasing but try and leave a little bit of that cushion underneath just for the fullness. So then, to finish all time: favorite camera volume - 25. I like to pinch a little bit at the root area, just to add a touch of volume up there and then for the bang area. If I didn't use hairspray, this is where it would be all day. So hairspray is my friend: I push it to the side, especially because you styled it to do that. So it's just paying attention to what you told it to do so you can get that nice little swoop there for just a little hairspray. I don't want that to be too stiff. I find what works for me here is to spray it and let it dry and kind of set in that place for a minute and then I'll usually run my fingers over it a couple times just so. It isn't too stiff we're not going for the newscaster look want your hair to move okay, so most of that hairspray was concentrated here and up just to see your hair just to make sure my kids keep some volume up at my root area because of my Hair to go flat, your hair does not go flat, you can skip the hairspray altogether or you can choose a softer hold hairspray, but this is the final look smooth soft this. I could easily get another day out of just my hair texture, but these products help a lot for volume. If you found that flat ironing your hair meant really flat hair, it doesn't have to be. You can see that you can get volume out of it. You just have to make sure you're lifting the section away when you get to this crown area using a texture spray using a root lifter before you even blow-dry, and then use some hairspray. So you can hold in place, but you get nice sleek ends and it's just a nice polished. Look

Jodiee Sherouse: I'm 49 years old..I have always loved doing my hair and makeup and found this very helpful!! Never too old to learn! Thank you!

Julz23: Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve always been horrible flat ironing my fine, thin hair but this worked wonders!!

katlynskorner: That first tutorial changed the game for how I flat ironed my hair! Every time I did your bounced hair tutorial I would get a TON of compliments. Love this video thanks for the update! All your videos are so helpful!

Amy Peteritis: This was a fantastic tutorial! I followed the tutorial, and it totally worked for me! I got lots of comments on how nice my hair looked for the next few days! (I only wash my hair every 3-4 days, so I left it straight for a few days after this, and it held up really well!) Thanks Kate! =)

Jessica McCoy: Love your tutorials! The original version of this one is how I figured out how to finally get some volume in my baby fine hair. I've tried using the uplifting foam but it was too heavy for my hair unfortunately. I finally found my perfect product combo with Monat - Root Lifter & Blowout cream.

Heather T: I was so excited for a new hair tutorial! Made my day. I love lots of volume and your tips are the best! Please make more!

Kristy Miller: You are adorable! Thank you for this video! I could never figure out how to straighten w/out flattening it. Your technique is a total game changer! ♥️

walknwendy: Love this!! I was trying to decide what I wanted to do with my hair and now I know! I still go back and watch the old videos also. I really need to try some of those products. I use the Kenra just 13 instead of 25 because of not wanting it so stiff.

Jenn Hutto: Loved this video! Reminded me of your old tutorials. You're always my go to..and I still love watching the old ones ❤

joyfuljaj: this is my second video tonight. I was already doing a lot of your blow dry tips, but had never applied as much root lifter. That and the flat iron pulled straight out from the head I am going to try. Also the cooling the hair after blow drying it forward. I am slowly working on effectively using product as I have very fine and oily hair and cannot stand the feel of a lot of product on my head.

Rebecca Jones: I love all the tips! ESPECIALLY the tip for the bangs, that's the hardest for me to get to look right. I usually give up and just pin it back, so this is perfect! Can't wait to try it tomorrow. Thanks for all the great info. You are such a cutie too! :)

Cassie: I've spent years perfecting my "faux blowout" routine and I have to say it's very similar to your tutorial. Except I also take small sections on the very top of my head and give a couple quick passes with my flat iron at the roots only (making the roots pretty hot) then I just lay the hot hair over a giant Velcro roller and hit it with the cool setting of my blow dryer for like 15 seconds. I only using like 5 rollers.

Lisa Kosicki: I used your technique today and it is hands down the fullest, poufi-est my hair has been using a flat iron-EVER!!! I have very thin hair and always feel like when I flat iron it, it just makes it look that much thinner. Today I feel like I have a thick head of hair!! Thanks for your awesome tutorial.

Susan May: Girl! You are clever. I learned some new tips - thanks. It’s taken me years to know much of what you have shown us here. The letting the hair cool is a biggie as are the holding angles you’ve demonstrated.

Christina DiPinto: This was SO helpful!! I bought the blow dry primer and the root lifter, and I noticed a huge difference! Thanks so much!

andy zawojski: Omg I should have found this out years ago !!! You are amazing to do show us . I was doing it all wrong and wondered why my hairdresser could make it look so good ! Thank you

Katie Burgess: I have missed your hair tutorials so much!! Love this! Please keep making more!

heylookatmelookatme: I work for a salon equipment distributor and ghd sent us their tool information documents for us to review. The ghd tools don't have heat settings because they are literally hard-wired NOT to heat above 365 degrees F! 365 degrees is the optimal temperature to style your hair without damaging the cuticle. ghd (which stands for Good Hair Day) wants your hair to stay healthy while being styled! Great video! : )

mishkabaz1: I’m so excited right now. I just found you and it sounds like I have the exact hair you do! Mine is also fine and loves to lay flat. I can’t wait to try your tips!

J B: Nice! I love your styling techniques for straightening hair. Adding a touch of volume is such a bonus! Thank you.

Christi Orcutt: Love this length! I am growing mine out to this and will definitely love all the tips in the video

Alison Barksdale: I love your hair tutorials! You’ve got a great voice & tempo that keeps me watching til the end. Gotta give you credit for getting me excited to style my hair tomorrow.

Julie Barnes: I'm really enjoying your tutorials. You're good at this! Keep em coming! We have the same type hair styles. I'm learning a lot!

Janet Ammirati: This video has helped me so much and as a bonus, you're funny! The trick how to do the front of your hair, genius and works with my cowlick. I've tried the loreal blow dry spray. Definitely helps cut down on drying time, and I've tried the amika undone spray. If you have soft, fine hair like me, this product is magical. Not kidding. I've got to try the root lifter and looking forward to watching more of your videos. A very big thank you!

Michelle Mcdonough: Thank you so much for this tutorial! I got 3 of the products you recommend and I love love love the L’Oreal blow dry primer!!

J Prevatt: I used to have a flat iron I loved that had a steamer button & detangling teeth on its plate. This was to detangle & smooth with anti frizz effect as it straightened. Maxi-Glide was its name. Also helps to not just apply root boosters but a heat protectant on the lengths of the hair, to keep the high temps from frying it!!

Mad Zabinga: Your makeup looks so so lovely! I really learned a lot watching this. Thank you!

Donna Mackay: thank you for putting this up.  I have fine hair that is neither straight or curly and find when I straighten my hair it goes flat.  I tried just the straightening tips this morning and what a difference, going to try the drying and straightening tips tomorrow and see the difference. Thanks again

M S: Thanks for all the tips. I did not use all the products because my hair is thick. But I used all your techniques (except the tease). Best flat iron job I ever achieved.

Komal Raut: Hi! I am curious to know- how do some people manage to have their hair blow dried almost everyday and still keep it looking healthy? Is it not supposed to dry your hair out in the long run?

Kara Willis: I just watched a vid for Sam Villa and the fella mentioned a great technique for a little life/body for your hair while flat-ironing. Make your sections diagonally rather than horizontal. Also, he mentioned it is not good to use anything sticky before flat-ironing as it will damage your hair. I hope these tips help you and others :)

Leah Jo: Doing this today! Thanks Kate!!!

Jami Criswell: Still use techniques from your OG video about flat ironing your hair! So jealous that your hair is all ready pretty straight after blow dry. Thanks for even more tips that will help make my wavy hair sleek and straight!

fallingsnow: It looks like the L’Oreal Blow dry spray has been discontinued. Do you have any suggestions for alternatives? Great video - My hair has never been long enough to flat iron until recently so, especially as a beginner, this video was extremely helpful. Thank you!

Sara Sharpe: Weird question, but how often do you wash your hair? I have fine hair that gets oily fast. Lately, I feel like I'm abusing my dry shampoo because I try to go so long without washing in fear that I will make it worse by washing too often.

SpazyAzy's Art: I love this, this will help me straighten my hair!

Samantha S: THANK GOD!!! A tutorial without any music!! Thank you

Julie Sunderlin: Thank you for a great hair day today after following your tips!!

tangled: Your hair looks great! Well done tutorial. How does the result differ from using a large round brush at the final blow dry stage? I have straight hair also and have never tried a flat iron because i thought it was used to straighten curly hair. I dry my hair 90% of the way in the same fashion as you and then finish with a very large round brush to get the result you get and I finish much faster. What am I missing?

Julie Howard: Love your hair videos,Kate. My hair is just like yours, needs lots of attention and product to look polished.

V B: Wow! I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in such a classy and kind way.

Shelly LaFleur: I have to say thank you. I don't often run out and buy things I see recommended by Youtubers, but I did go out and find a bottle of the L'Oreal blow dry primer. This is a $3.97 bottle of pure goodness. It works! I have thick, course hair that takes forever to blow dry. It seriously cut down on my drying time this morning. Thank you so much for this tip.

Stephanie R: I love the Not Your Mothers plump for joy hair thickener/root lifter. It’s amazing and my hair still feels clean and soft.

Diane Milligan: Beautiful finished hair! Thank you!

shawnita latsha: I watched that video a long time ago and ever since have always wanted to try the aquage foam out and last week I finally purchased it and referred back to that video to use it, so yes it is still working! I’m glad you’re doing an update tho!

Dawn Hardin: Thank you SO much! I had no idea what I was doing wrong until I watched your video. From a straight haired gal, THANK YOU!

tigress63: Absolutely awesome video.  Normally I don't like videos over 5 minutes long because most women will either repeat themselves incessantly or gab about various other superfluous things.   Your video was excellent because you stuck on point and despite being over 5 minutes, you showed a lengthy process.   I really like that you kept it concise!!!!!    BTW, you make-up is extremely flattering.    You are one of the very few videos that I could learn a few things from and that's a lot coming from me because for 40 years I've been into fashion and beauty techniques.

Emily T: I remember discovering your channel/blog around the time of the original video! I have been a loyal follower ever since. Also have been a loyal buyer of aquage uplifting foam thanks to you! It's a must for lift and volume!! Happy holidays!

Jan Heard: The best way to volumise hair is to use hair straighteners with large Velcro rollers. After straightening a section put it in a roller until you’ve done the whole head. The hair will cool being lifted away from the scalp. Remove the rollers and comb and spray lightly with Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine. You will have a lovely thicker looking head of hair.

yupyup1562: Wow, you are so lucky to have straight hair. I only have to do my hair once a week but it takes close to two hours to beat it into submission, finally ending with the same look.

elderly poodle: Thank you !!!! You have my hair and I have tried so hard to get that volume. Love you.XO

Glammy Bee: Lol, I went to amazon.com to look up the l'oreal quick dry, and got 'customers who bought this also bought'...and the two items were aquage and the purple vented brush you're using. So after watching your video, a bunch of us trotted over to amazon for the l'oreal spray, aquage and the vented brush in this video. Love, love, love your videos!!!

Peluche Productions: Great advice! I live in Miami in the humidity here is very high most part of the year. I dont like super straight hair so I will definitely try these tips. Thank you!

Tess Marie: I bought my ghd specifically because it didn’t have a heat setting but it does have a chip in it that can detect by your hair how hot it should get. Loveeee it!!!

c.m. adams.: Question- I bought the Acquage based on years of watching you and you always use it! It makes me super greasy super fast. I have bleach processed hair, and only wash my hair 2-3 times per week. Suggestions?

Jadorelamode Paris: You are worthy of watching - great tutorial, can’t wait to try. Thanks.

Blessed Hope: Love this. I have medium to fine hair as well and I straighten mine to get the volume too. One more thing that I do is to add Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum to the ends and a couple inches up from the ends and it actually gives the illusion that there is even more volume on top as well as making it a bit more manageable ❤️

Jules Aviles: I'm glad to see that I'm doing it right! :) Thanks for sharing, love your videos!!

Chris S.: My favorite thing about your helpful vid is your sense of humor! Such fun! :D Wish more tutorial creators had it.

Kristina Hudson: I have a lot of shopping to do!  I love this, thank you for doing it!  Looks great :)

Leah Damron: I've been a cosmetologist for 20 years and this is exactly how I blow dry my Hair Lol and I use Aquage products! Great vid..

84amward: If you like the aquage spray I recommend trying the pureology root lift! It’s similar, but in my opinion better, and it’s easier to find!

Heather Gabelsberg: I just did this to my hair with my own products and WOW WOW it has never looked better on my own THANK YOU!!!! love it. Now just to get some of these products

Godsgirl001: I just watched the other video you referred to, I actually really enjoyed it and it had TONS of info and tips and tricks! I will be picking up the foam ASAP. Thx

Karen Parker: I use the same products you do & love them! I also love volume. Not "Mall Hair" volume but volume, nonetheless - lol. This is great! Thanks!

Megan: I used to LOVE aquage uplifting foam. I am positive that they recently changed the formula. It used to work so well and feel like there was no product in my hair. I bought a new bottle of it a month ago and no it doesn't work as well and leaves a residue in my hair! So frustrating! This literally was my favorite product!

Chrystal Telles: It’s so awesome how you say “I’m ok with it” love your tutorials!!!

CalBarrier, LLC: Im saving this video for when my pixie grows out and hair salons are open, cause I want a cut like this!

Kenya: It was very helpful I am thinking of buying an flattener and I just have the same type of hair as you and I was always struggering with no volume in my hair. I will definitelly try it. It also seems to me that it is more gentle than drying hair with a round brush (plus I do not manage it at all :-)))

stinkpod: Is there a secret to getting your hair to look more silky/shiny? Yours looks so smooth even just after a blow-dry. I feel like mine always has rogue hairs sticking up and looks kind of rough and not shiny. I'm not sure if it's just changed with age.

Sandra Jones: I love the hair tutorial! I miss those so much! Your makeup looks beautiful! Please list the products you have on. Thanks!

Anchored Palm Trees: Excellent step by step!

DABS: Please do a tutorial on your eye makeup here! Love!

noutakka: I resonate so well with the way you describe your hair and I suffer since I can remember that I can't put some volume in my hair... I have quite a lot of question :p but I hope to get a feedback just for two: 1. How do you manage to use the flat iron and still have your hair so healthy, I'm thinking to buy one but I'm afraid I'll make a mess out of my hair... 2. Could you recommend me a very light easy to handle blow dryer? I'm thinking of the new Harry Josh blow dryer but the price is insane and I am not sure it is worth it... Many thanks!!

Shirlene Higbie: I am loving the colors that you have in your hair..... I am due to get mine done in a couple of weeks and would love to be able to tell my stylist what I want him to use ... like base -- high and low lights -- would you mind sharing what you use on yours..... Thanks ..... Hugs..... Shirlene

Sandra Guajardo: I never quite understood why I wanna use root lifter. Watching this video sheds light on that product. Definitely going to try using it.

Jayne Critchley: This is where my length of hair is again...after being an inch below my bra strap...love it...

Tokoladdy: Great video. Can you suggest an unscented texture spray? The Amika spray has such a strong fragrance I can’t bear to use it, even though I like what it does to my hair.

UP THE BORO!: You are amazing, thank you. You're a good teacher ! So glad I found you, your video's are very informative and so easy to understand. You do have a look of Jennifer Aniston

Jaqueline Bahu: Thanks for this video. I have thin, fine hair that is semi curly so I straighten it but hate flat hair. I wanted to tell you about a new product I found that you will love. I discovered through Dominique Sasche watch her March 14 YouTube she demos it and I was sold. It’s sold online in Florida called Healium .

Rose Kopelowitz: I'm a college student who never really cared about my hair. I only do my hair maybe once a month, otherwise it's in a ponytail and out of my way, so when I think of buying products I only want a few and they certainly need to be (relatively) cheap. What might you recommend?

Tamela Camp: Loved the video! I love the way you did your eyes today, would you please do a video on how you did them. You look beautiful!

brkfstinbed: Do you ever section your hair out when you blow dry it? I feel like I need to do that since I have long, thick hair. But maybe not?

Laurie H.: I would like to also remind everyone that one of the main reasons she gets those nice face-framing pieces is because of he way her hair is cut. If you do not have a cut like here or similar, the effect will NOT be the same!

Kelly Wilburn: Thanks so much for this video! I can't wait to try!

ya: Would love a tutorial on how you do this on day 2... like how you sleep on it and what you do to refresh it for the second day... or maybe you just curl it?

Kristy Miller: Very helpful! Thank you!

ViVi: How do you keep from getting a “line” creased in your hair at the original point of dragging iron through your hair?

Madams.59: It's clear as I watch this vid that you also have thick hair, which helps in the volume department. You have a gorgeous head of hair and a great cut, which again is a huge help. If I use a flat iron on my head of hair, I look like a wet rat with a big head. My hair is so flat and stuck to my head. You make it look so easy. I wish you would do my hair!

Langy D: lol I do the same thing to let my hair cool instead of using the cool button, it’s easier, with the hair all forward and in my face. I have the CHI flat iron too it has to be the best one it has a nice weight to it when you hold it and it’s very solid

SHANDA: I needed this! Thank you!

K M: why not just bend ends while blow drying? Would save the steps of having to flat iron . Also a blow dry gets hair nicer looking than the flat iron in my opinion.

Godsgirl001: If your iron has a temp setting what temp do you recommend to use?

Linda debarbieris: Loved your video. Can't wait to try this. Not sure what products you used. Hopefully when I watch it several more times I'll figure them out. Thank you for such a great video.

Tiffany: Kate, when I wear my hair like this within an hour I have tangles at the nape area. Anyway to prevent that?

Turena: Im so psyched to try this technique tomorrow!

imamyloo: Thanks for the info! Will the root lifter still work if I have a ton of hair? It’s medium thickness, just have a lot.

deidrabay: This is great! Could you please list the products you use? Thank you!

Tegan Taylor: I just want to say I love your voice! Listening to you is actually very calming. :) Thx for the awesome vids. xo

Rachel Sharp: I have thin/flat hair, and I the Aquage Uplifting Foam!!! It world wonders. The key is to blow dry the opposite way.
