Hey everyone welcome back to my channel, so in today's video I'm gon na be showing you guys how I style my short hair. I asked you guys on instagram. If you wanted to see it, and a lot of you said yes, so that's what I'm doing today, I'm using a straightener. This is the new me make a star straightener, and I'm also going to be showing you guys a ton of my favorite products from dry shampoos to leaving conditioners my favorite hairspray. We got it all in here, so I hope you guys it will enjoy this video. Please stay tuned if you want to see how I got this hairstyle, let's get started alright, so this is my hair. This is like second day hair. So this is what I wake up with in the mornings and honestly, like my hair, is not doing anything totally crazy. Today, if I was like in a hurry, I would just leave my house like this, like. I think this is totally fine and acceptable. I might try to fix these pieces in the back, but yeah I don't mind this look, but for the most part my hair, as you can see, is straight and with my very short hair, I don't like to curl my whole head of hair. I just like to curl certain pieces to give it kind of like a more textured look. So that's I'm gon na be showing you guys today, and I start out by just separating like the very top section of my hair, with a little clip, and I got a really cute style going on so yeah you can see like my biggest issue is when I sleep at night, these shorter pieces in the back just get really really riled up, so I use the nume megastar flat iron. This is obviously the purple one. It comes in different colors and there's different heat settings. There'S little buttons right there and you can change the heat I have mine set at 410. I used to do 390, which is just one setting below, but I find, if I don't, if I put it up at a higher heat, I don't have to hold it on my hair as long so really. I know a lot of people say, put it at a lower heat, but then I feel like I'm still applying the heat to my hair for a longer period of time. So it's just a personal preference. But what I do basically is just take a section and I hold my Flatiron vertically and I twist it once and that's it and I just pull and it just kind of gives a just a loose wave and I just kind of grab random pieces on the Top hold it vertically twist it once and pull so. I know a lot of and you get a curl kind of like this. Just like a little wave. I know a lot of people that'll twist it multiple times, but for me I don't find that. I need to do that, so I don't do that and if I ever feel like, I have a piece. That'S just like a little bit too curly. I just take my straightener and run over at once and that kind of tones it down, especially like the ends. I prefer my ends to be a little bit more straight, so I will normally do that and you can, if you want to put, do some pieces that are going towards your face. So if you want to go towards your face, you're, just gon na take the flat iron vertically again, but instead of twisting this way, you're going to take it and twist it this way. One time I would ask you and of course it's a lot of playing around getting the kind of look that you want. So then I just move on to the other side. I take a piece from the back twist once and pull, and you want to twist hard enough that the hair feels tight, but not to where it feels like it's pulling on the hair, and I do recommend investing in a nice straightener. I think this one cost me around 120 and they do sales on these. All the time do not pay full price for this. I think it normally retails right 200 or something I'll leave it linked, but don't pay full price for it because they always have sales, but if you're using a straightener that is just really cheap and it has the square edges you can see. This has rounded edges to it, so it makes it smoother when it runs through the hair when you're curling it. If your straightener has some more like square edges to it, that's when it can be kind of, and it kind of pulls out your hair. So if you want to curl your hair with a straightener, I do suggest investing in a good flat iron because it has made all the difference. For me, I used to have a different straightener and then I got this one and it just really made a difference because I was always like. I want to be able to curl my hair with my straightener, but I never could and then I realized. Oh, it's because my straightener is terrible, so just food for thought right there and it like you, can see. I always go back through and kind of straighten my ends. The longer your hair is the less you have to do that, because just the way that my hair is short, it's really hard to just leave. You know a little bit out to keep it straight. So if your hair is longer, you can do the same method and you probably won't have to go back through and straighten the ends. All right, then, I take my main down again and I figure out where I'm gon na part, my hair, probably gon na, do that and then I just kind of separate it down the middle in the back, so that I don't accidentally curl something that's already been Curled - and I just kind of pinned that out of the way - and I just repeat the steps so when my hair is longer as in you know, just a little bit longer than this, I will curl every single piece just because it looks kind of weird when It'S straight, but when it's this short, I really don't feel the need to curl every single piece. So I just kind of grab the top layers and that's what I curl basically like for my hair. I just kind of want a bend and I don't really want total curls, so it depends on what you want all right. So once I'm finished curling both sides, I just kind of run my fingers through it. I normally end up tucking, my hair behind my ear. So I got to make sure that the curls look good if I tuck it behind my ear and if I just leave it out. So this is what it looks like you can see. It'S just some light waves in there and just kind of textured looking if you guys want me to do a video on like what I do when I'm actually like curling my hair with a straightener, because I never use an actual curling iron. I just never do it and I don't know why that is I used to, but just with my short hair, it's just so much easier when I curl my hair, I'm gon na actually curl it. I do basically the same method, except for I rotate this like one more time since that of just turning back I'll, like do a whole 360 with it. So that's basically all I do different, but if you guys want to see that video, let me know now we get into the fun part of styling, my hair. So after I do this, I kind of feel in the back of my hair, some of the sections that I feel like come apart and I have a really deep part as in it goes really far down the back of my head. So I want my hair to look blended. I just kind of tease not all the way up here, not at the top, but just kind of back here. I don't know if you guys can even see just so that the hair kind of blends together a little bit and then a lot of times I'll just kind of go. You can do this with your fingers to people, but I'll just take a chunk and just kind of like go up the sides with it and then you've got yourself like a crazy mess like this. I take my fingers and run it through, but it just gives your hair some texture without any product. Yet so now, I'm gon na get in to showing you guys some of my favorite products to use some days. I feel like using a dry shampoo to add texture to my hair a lot of times. That'S when my hair is kind of you know on its last leg right before I'm about to wash it or just if I want to give it just a little bit less shiny of a look I'll use, dry, shampoo and I'll just show you guys through my Favourites, I've talked about this one and my most repurchase products. It'S the batiste dry, shampoo, really affordable, really awesome comes in two and since, but I've recently been getting into this bad boy right here, which is he not your mother's beach, babe texturizing dry shampoo. I used to love their beach babes salt spray for my hair, when it was longer because it would add some texture, since my hair is pretty fine and flat, but this one I love even more because it does work as a dry shampoo, but it also adds So much texture to my hair and I think that it's honestly a dupe for this one, the living proof, perfect, hair day, dry shampoo. This does the exact same thing. It adds texture to my hair while giving it a little bit more life and taking away some of the oils that I have this one though this I think costs like $ 7 for this giant bottle of it, and this was like $ 20 or $ 15. For this small little bottle, so this living proof product is not as affordable, but it is really really great moving on into texturizing sprays. This is another one by living proof. I love this. I am going to repurchase this when I run out of this small bottle, I'll probably buy the full size. This is the full drive volume blast. So this is not a dry shampoo. It'S not going to take away any excess oil, but it does give my hair. So much texture, so if I don't really want to have that look of more squeaky-clean hair, like especially on my first and second days, I don't really need to take away any extra oil, so I'll use something like this and then almost every day I've been using This verb sea spray, it's just a sea salt spray and it actually kind of makes my hair a little bit wet. But then I kind of just like scrunch it together here I'll show you guys, because I was planning on using it today. So I just spray - and I just kind of run, my fingers through my hair and I just scrunch scrunch scrunch, and then I wanted to mention this. This is the L'Oreal LV protein recharge, leave-in conditioner. I'Ve been using this for a few weeks. Now I was sent this by Influenster, but that doesn't change my opinion on it. I feel like it's really made a big big difference in my hair's strength and shine, so I just get a tiny little bit on my hand. I don't want to take my ring off just cuz. I hate that feeling of getting stuff in my ring, and I just kind of run this through my hair after I've done the sea salt spray. Just because this gives it a little bit more shine and it just looks a little bit more healthy, especially like on the days when I've already added in so much product. My hair can look a little bit. You know dry and damaged, but I feel like adding this and just helps my hair keep its shine, and I don't know if you guys will be able to tell on camera, but I can really see a difference in person when I'm using this and I've never Been a leaving conditioner kind of girl, I just thought it was kind of freely, but I you can see. Well, I don't know if you can, I can see I've already used about this much of it, so I've used a fair amount and this is really affordable. I really have been enjoying it. I'M gon na keep using it. You get a ton of product in here, and a little bit goes a long way like. I just showed you guys. You can use it when your hair is dry, it doesn't make. My hair feel greasy oily anything like that, but it does help it to look more shiny and I always use it after I wash my hair and my hair is damp as well and then my very favorite hairspray, you guys know. I love this stuff. This is the Tresemme tray to spray extra hold non aerosol hairspray, so they make this in an aerosol version, but this one just has a little spray nozzle to it. So I'm gon na spray, my hair, real quick and I don't put very much I'm not really into lots of hair spray. I find my hair I've trained it pretty well to hold a curl just because I do style it almost every single day so yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Please give it a thumbs. If you did, let me know what other hair kind of style videos you want to see. I would love to do more of those on my channel be sure to subscribe to my channel before you leave, and I will see you all in my next video bye.
