Cold Air Hair Curler!

What is this hair tool? This hair curler features a cool air setting while you style and curl your hair using the flat iron plates. Supposedly the cool air helps set the hair as you style it. That's intriguing. Another interesting feature this flat iron offers is a release mechanism where the flat iron plates close automatically and hold the section of hair without having to use the other hand. To my surprise this curling iron actually provides great results. Let me know your thoughts.

Love, Milabu

Today, I'm going to play with Conair's their new Cool Air Curler., And this right here retails for $ 79.99 at my local Ulta.. So this right here has a unique design., The outer barrel. It has a cooling system., So this opens up it's a flat iron.. You got plates on the inside. And then on the outside. This is where the cool air comes out., So you have a low medium and a high heat setting, And then you also, I guess, choose if you want the fan on or off., It has two settings. Right now, it's blinking! So I'm assuming it's heating, up.. Okay! So the fan turned on once the flat iron is heated all the way. And it heated quite quick honestly., I would say, maybe not even 30 seconds.. So when you're touching it, you can feel the air coming out from right here next to the release, button., I'm touching it on the outside, and I can feel a little bit of warmth coming from the sides where the plates are., But right here most of the Barrel is nice and cool. Okay., Let's style the hair., So I had to read the settings.. You do have an option to turn the fan off, which is great., So we might as well do half and half. Left is going to use the fan right without the fan.. Let'S do this. We're gon na do high with fan high without fan, and that is essentially 400 degrees. Fahrenheit. (, curler humming ), Let go.. Oh it's falling out.! Oh, that was bad.. Oh. What is that ( Milana, laughing Ew that looks so bad., I'm gon na redo, that. ( curler humming ), I'm gon na hold the hair like help it down. ( curler, humming ). Oh you see that perfection Wow. The one thing I am seeing with this, the hair does fall out out of the plates because The plates are not as tight as your regular curling iron with a clip just because it doesn't wan na be so rough and tug on your hair really bad.. So you are seeing that it's going very smooth and gentle on the hair., I'm also finding that keeping the hair in the center, or at least close to the center, I'm getting the best, results. And kind of guiding the hair with the plates. Instead of just letting the hair go., So you do have to use two hands to get the best results'cause, you guys saw the hair just kept falling out.. I think what is making this really easy? Is you just twist this curler.? Instead of twisting your wrist awkwardly you just twist this, and it kind of just does the job for you.. The one thing is keeping that twist consistent like how many times am I twisting You know, And I'm trying to take different sized sections to see what works best and what doesn't., But so far they look somewhat consistent.. Oh my gosh. ( Milabu laughing ). These are ringlets ringlets.. So again, it's gon na make a huge difference with how many twists you do., I mean you, can see, look at that., (, curler, humming ). It doesn't feel hot. [ Andrey ], It's not It's warm, but it's not hot. [ Andrey ] Is that Actually cooling it off Yeah. To a point it does.. I like that it smoothes the hair out kind of like the Dyson in a way.. You see how it's twisting the hair, It doesn't twist it in the flat iron. It kind of straightens it out in a way. Watch. (, curler, humming ), See It tries to straighten it a little bit here and there.. Look at that. See that The air flying out Definitely doesn't straighten as well.. I think one of the best parts about this - it's not even the air, it's that it keeps the section in the plates.. Remember those other ones that we tried that also had the release mechanism, but the plates they were so far apart, like they weren't close enough and the hair just kept falling out. [ Andrey ] Yeah., The ones from Amazon.. That'S what I was kind of concerned about with this one. See some of the sections I can hold it without guiding.. It definitely holds the hair better when you're all the way, almost up here., You start at the very top, and then it makes its way down.. The ends look kind of frizzy on both sides, just because the plates are not as tight as a regular flat iron. ( curler, humming ). You definitely have to be very consistent because otherwise they start looking really bad.. You see I'm not doing this. The good process. And again horrible results. ( curler humming ) [ Andrey ]. How much cooler does one side feel than the other I mean I can actually feel the heat on this when it comes off.. Like I wouldn't say, these are burning hot, but this definitely like this side is already completely cooled. Off.. You can definitely feel somewhat of a difference from side to side with the fan versus without the fan.. I think it definitely works to a point., But, like I was telling Andrey in the middle of curling my hair, because I was turning it on and off. I was trying to give it a little bit of time to cool off the barrel. So maybe there is going to be some discrepancies at the very end of the day, but we'll see., I'm gon na shake my hair out now that the right side has time also to cool off. And I'm not going to brush my hair., I'm just gon na Shake my hair out just because I personally don't like the look of ringlets for me., Especially when I did it like this.. I, like it more volumized, more texture and the waves broken apart., And I only do this once. I really gave time for the style to set. All right. I'll, see you guys in a little bit and we'll see how the curls last., Which side is going to look best Or if they're, going to be completely even. I'll, see you guys at the end of The night. It's the end of the night.. You guys ready to see the results. This still looks pretty good. The first section. It was the worst section and it's still looking like the worst section., That's where I basically lost most of that wave.. But everything else guys. Look at this. Those are some pretty great results for the end of the night. And today's weather. It has been really wet. Outside., It's been raining., We got into the rain a little bit and I'm still shocked that my hair still looks this good.. This part right here looks really bad., I'm just looking everywhere in other places.. A little bit right here underneath is not looking as good.. I think they both still look really good., But I'm really curious to see how they're going to look tomorrow morning.. So I'm not gon na end the video here., I'm gon na end it tomorrow morning.. I'M really curious to see how this hair lasts all night long. It's the next morning, and this is what we're looking like. There's still quite a bit of wave happening. With the left side. This is where we did the air shot or the cool shot., And you can see the curls are still there quite defined, but they're not even and they're, not as consistent as the right side. Everything's kind of falling into a pattern, all together., And I think that It just depends what you're looking for. And the one thing with this tool I was saying from the beginning. You have to be really consistent with how many twists you do, how you even hold the tool.. So it's not like you just kind of go for it.. You can, but it's not gon na, be as consistent., But in regards to the cool air shot. The setting do, I think it's worth it, Honestly. Yeah.. Why not Like, I feel, like the curls, are still a little bit tighter., But on both sides, curls or just waves, they fell out.. This one is almost gone. Underneath. This side right here same thing., It's kind of some areas, it's kind of fallen out., But I feel like for some reason on this side. It'S a little more consistent.. I am still gon na play with this tool quite a bit to really play with the different temperature settings, because I did use the highest heat setting, which I never do, which was at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.. I usually stick below 350 and even lower like around 330.. So I'm curious to see how the waves are going to hold up with a lower heat setting., But I'm really surprised and shocked that we still have quite a bit of style left from yesterday.. Obviously, the curls fell out on both sides, but I personally, like the look of this side. Better. It's a little softer., It's not as defined as no it's not as textured.. It'S not as there's not too much happening on the side.. It'S all the same.. It'S more of a very consistent look. On this side, there's kind of like a little bit of everything happening in my opinion, which sometimes I do enjoy., But I don't know honestly.. I think they both did good. It's the same tool, it's just depending if you're going to use the cool shot or not, while you style. Okay., So overall, I think the price is fair.. Honestly, I would purchase this closer to around $ 50, because there's not much offering to this tool. Besides this right here. - And I just wish it opened up a little bit more. - I was kind of struggling with that. And you do have to be careful not to get your hair stuck towards the very bottom of the barrel.. And another thing is, there is definitely a learning curve to this.. I was trying to see where's the best place to hold the section of hair within the plates., And it was definitely closer to the right here bottom or the top, depending on which way you're looking at it. But closer to right here. That way, once it wraps around, it, goes through the middle and it comes out towards the middle not towards the bottom., Because towards the bottom, the hair slides out really easily. And I did have to hold a lot of the sections while gliding through the plates. And Then just kind of learning how many twists you do what you like best things, things like that. At first, the settings were kind of hard to figure out. And the one thing is. There is no lock mechanism on here., So you I did have to adjust the settings quite a bit of time. While I was styling my hair., So keep that in mind.. You will just make sure you kind of look at the settings once in a while to make sure what you wanted is still on. But yeah. I think this is a really great tool for those that, like the flat iron curls/waves, depending how tight or how loose you do, them. The release mechanism is good., But I think you do have to be quite comfortable with this. Just in case, if your hair is coarse, if your hair is thick or if it is or if it gets stuck within the plates really easily, you might have to use the release to kind of help release the hair from the plates.. I like this tool, but I don't love it just yet, just because I'm not sure how the curls/waves are going to hold up on a lower heat setting. And also the release mechanism. You kinda have to be careful not to you know, tug on your hair., But I do appreciate that it was a lot gentler than I was expecting.. I personally don't think it's good at straightening hair., It's more for curling/waving. Again depends on your on your technique., But straightening hair. The plates are way too. I don't know I feel like you would have to really hold the plates right here at the end and to just help it straighten down., But I'm gon na leave it there.. Please share your experience. If you have this tool., What kind of hair do you have? What kind of styles have you created? What do you like it best for, But for now, thank you for watching and spending time with me and I'll see you in next one very soon., Bye. ( Blows kiss )

Kalisha J: This is one of the neatest tools you've reviewed in a while. I thought the cool air definitely made a difference and I liked both sides but I get what you were saying about the no fan side, it had more of a nicer S wave. Great review!!

Sarah Herbert: I'm loving the fan side! When I use my curling iron, I purposely go for that look. I'll alternate wrapping my hair, each strand, each time around the barrel.. wrap left, then wrap right!

Amy Clarke: Love your reviews! I love how this curler doesn’t leave a lot of frizz at the top too!

CharlotteModel: I actually like how the cool side turned out best! I wouldn’t use this myself but the results looked awesome on you.

Whitney Jones: I wonder if it would be less likely to damage hair with this cooling feature. I have very fine, color-treated hair that is easily damaged, so this could be a helpful feature.

Conscious Community: This is one of the best curlers EVER!!!!! It’s effortless to hold!

Caroline Smith: How long would you say it took you to curl your entire head? (If you hadn’t been filming). I love how your hair turned out and it looks faster than most standard curling irons!

wakpak3000: I waited 4 months to get my hands on this tool! I couldn’t wait to try it, but it ended up working terribly. I have very similar fine hair, and all the wand did was tug on it. I tired all of my products and the wand wasn’t smooth at all. The circles were also really weird. I’m so glad it actually works for someone though!

Amanda Harris: I love this thing! I do use it the opposite way though - the handle at the bottom, and my hair doesn’t slide out

Nicole Luechtefeld: I have had this for almost a year now, my hair never held curl for more than a few hours..until this wonderful tool! The noise is somewhat annoying, but worth it for the end result!

Dean Twitchett: Absolutely love these curls on you Milana! This looks good for conaire but I do think that it’s overpriced like you said $50 mark is more like it! XOXO

Sarah Sinton: Love this one so much!!! One of my fave hair tools ever!!! So ingenious!

Tricia Clark: You make this look SOOOOO easy. You are getting the perfect curls. I wonder if this would work on super long hair? I don’t like that the hair slips out either.

Eleanor: I love your review, so much helpful information on the product PLUS tips, like how you suggest where to place the hair. Personally i thought the fan side was going to hold up much longer then the other, so i was very happy that you showed the results after a whole day PLUS next day, like just WOW!!

Apryl-Minnie-sota: Question. As a hairstylist my arms hurt just watching you curl. Just wondering if you point the tip down for a reason or if you pointed the tip up then hair won’t fall out while turning? Love your videos! ❤️❤️❤️

Kelly Wurzbach: If you hold the base toward the ground and 1/2 twist and you will not need to hold the hair and the more hair in each section and the faster you drag through the looser the curl it is the best tool I have ever used to hold a

Heather Smith: Bought this...love it...easier to use than a curling iron. I did notice that if you hold it upright and do the 180...maybe get less frizziness

Mrs. Ramsey: I tried this because of some ppl I seen use it on FB and OMG do I love it. I've always wanted Milabu waves but couldn't figure out the whole arm twist hand holding method until this I was able to do a one flip holding it up instead of down and get beautiful results. The only thing for me since I didn't have hairspray to use my curls fell flat in 20 mins maybe more they didn't last long but my hair also doesn't hold shape well either. The process and the results too I def enjoyed the experience and will continue to try and get the hang of it for sure.

Lara Bardot: Omg I bought that curling iron like a week ago and tried it twice and I just can’t seem to figure it out, I wish I could make my hair look as gorgeous as yours! I have long fine hair and it’s hard to make all the curls look the same

Denisse Avila: Makes a nice wave! The ones that were almost gone the next morning may be due to your sleeping on a certain side and the sweat during sleep may flatten/straiten them out. To avoid them falling into a pattern, curling each section in opposite directions will help (one curled in, the next one out). ✌️

Cowgirl: Loving the long hair on you. Would ‘pinching’ the ends of the barrel/flat iron make a difference?

P Z: Love these product tests!

Kelly Migdon: How would you say this compares to L’ange’s Le Duo you’ve reviewed already? I’m on the fence as to if the cool shot on that one does anything at all. This Conair cool shot actually seems a little better.

Dannielle MacDonald: If you end up buying this JUST FOLLOW THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS.... it will be super easy and WORK!!! Love mine!!

Désirée Ohrbeck: Since the Dyson air wrap is out of stock, would you recommend this one? How long did it take you to curl your hair?

lissajedi: Maybe if you didn't point it downwards, your hair wouldn't slide out. Idk why you don't use it pointing up and pull downwards instead of pushing it down while holding it upside down

Life of Anjalee: Anyone else think it’s so satisfying watching her curl her hair

JackieEFFEX: Her sectioning was perfection!!!

Diane Peluso: Your hair looks so long shiny & healthy!!

Just Me: I have it and I love it. I feel like my curls last longer.

prepi: Very beautiful hair, I really like the results.

Rhiannon Callahan: SO PRETTY! I envy your hair growth!

Kenedi Di Pietra: Your hair is looking so bright and beautiful girl!!

Terri B: I just love her reactions!! Best vids.

Дарья dd: I have VS Sasson same cool air technology one. I never thought it can be soooo hard to use it. I already have callus on my finger after using it for 10 minutes. I m very disappointed. It is not easy to use whatsoever. It pulls out hair too if you not super careful. You can accidentally change temperature settings because there is no lock . Plates are very weak they don't hold hair as good as I thought and also I have medium fine hair and I can make the curl only on highest setting otherwise I don't have a curl. I suggest try it before buying. Only one thing I like about it- it doesn't burn your hair like other tongs

Michelle Marie: I'd love to see a comparison with this tool versus the dyson airwrap

Skin Obsessed Mary: Love your videos - thank you! If you were going to buy 1 tool to create beachy waves, what would it be? I've a short bob.

Karina Gaertner: I love these kinds of videos ☺️

M Ellwein: What products are already in your hair before styling? (Sham&con, heat protect etc) Thanks

Kelly Wurzbach: I have had mine for about 2 months now and love it

kiana lynn: You look like a goddess with those curls!! Love it

KR L: What kind of protector did you put in your hair prior to using the curling/flat iron?

Dannielle MacDonald: I have this and it's amazing!!

Nicole Lavigne: It seemed like how you were holding the curler to your hair was a little different on the left side to the right, so I kind of wonder if that affected it at all. It's a neat idea though. I wouldn't get it at full price though, especially as the price would be higher in Canada.

K K: I live in Germany and conair is not sold here, but babyliss has the same curler. I love it so much. My curls lasts for 3 to 4 days. Best purchase ever

Kellyana Argote: I was looking for a video who actually explained how to use it and your video made it, it’s the best… Now, I have this tool and so far I will return it because It doesn’t work on my hair… I have a loooong hair and tried to curl it with this and result in an hour and half, either I didn’t like the results, breaks my hair a LOT and it requires TIME which I don’t have, I like to do my hair quick and this isn’t helping. I feel very disappointed THANK YOU for the VIDEO

Nichole Smallwood: please do an updated haircare routine video. Your hair looks very healthy and long. Love it

Sophie Marie: Your hair looks beautiful✨

Mickey Curry: It looks and sounds a lot like the Lange Le Duo Grande, which they call a 360° Airflow Styler.

Suzzette MacKay: Okay your not helping me I have watched you curl your hair 10 different ways the last few days, trying to find a new curling system. They all work great for you. Which would you recommend? I can't afford the highest price one, but I want one that won't damage my hair and will still give me curls that last. Thank you for your videos. You really have great videos that actually help. Thx

Pamela Hough: I can't wait for my hair to grow a little longer so I can curl it.

Alison Brooks: I bought the Chi coolshot curling wand that does something similar & I returned it. Why? I've got bone straight hair & it's super hard to make it even remotely "frizzy" but with the coolshot iron it cools the hair with a fan just like this tool. I do have a lot of split ends and when the fan does its thing all it does is rough up the split ends & makes my hair look frizzy. Your hair looks so much healthier than mine so even though you make this look so worth getting id have to pass for fear of it happening just like the Chi iron:( I hope this comment helps anyone with similar hair to me. Oh BTW my hair is also super baby-fine!

Hailey Robb: I noticed that on the fan side, the curls were tighter.

Teresa Wise: My hair is very curl resistant & refuses to stay curled or even hold waves for the duration of a day. I wonder if the cool shot would help keep a curl?

08emily89: I have the U.K. version of this- Babyliss Curl Style Luxe (I believe it’s the same brand as this one). I love it!

Luisanna Gutierrez: Can you please try out the conair oh so kind curling iron?! Please ♥️ love your videos by the way!

Delia Silva: Try the babyliss luxury curl styler! Here in Finland we don’t have the conair

Bunny Bear: Omg look how long ur hair got! I was just watching one of your videos from 2019 on facebook. Huge difference

Somewhere in Indiana: I haven't seen this before... I'm intrigued because it uses cold air which is better for your hair

⚡️TheFlashVibes⚡️: I may get this ! I can’t do curls with a flat iron this looks easy.

dalida972: Awesome! I wish they had European versions ;)

Linda Zamfino: Do you use any product in your hair before curling,? Thanks!

tippi9884: Can you use this as a hair straightener as well?

Jillian Gatchett: Lange makes something similar to this!!! Can you test that? I’d love to see the comparison!

Hollie S: What heat protectant are you using?

Spikey Bunny: I need to change the subject for a minute and tell you I LOVE YOUR NAIL COLOR!!! It’s gorgeous!!! What is it & where can I get it?

Connie Feltman: The next morning looks like the ... New Wavy Style! I like it! ❣️

CCRider: "Cold" only means room temperature. Unless there is freon inside to make the air "cold," it's only cool air.

Jenny Rose: If this design worked well it would be great cause way less damage. Unless it's way too expensive. I'd be willing to pay $50 so maybe on sale or with coupons. But great idea.

La Matante est contente: That curler sounds like my air fryer

Sabrina Pekarz: Love these videos!!!! How are you able to have the blonde in your hair and keep it looking so moisturized and not frizzy? I have blonde but mine is fine dry and has a lot of static! Help!!!???

Jules Bee: I’ve noticed you have the handle on the top and barrel down. Have you tried handle down and barrel up? I find I don’t have to worry about hair falling out as much.

Amy Shay: You are on to do 1, 180degree turn. Also, when you did the bottom, you did at the very end of the barrel. That wasn’t the iron’s fault. Although, it does look beautiful!

Reji Nicole: Your hair is looking so full and thick after your bundle of joy

Maya: I love the long hair so beautiful can you share what products you’ve been using to keep up your hair healthy

M Zim: This looks great. The link isn't taking me anywhere. But I see one that says the same but is Charcoal...does anyone know if there is a difference in the models or is it just the color. Thanks for showing this!! I really want it!

Olivia Modena: I really like the curls it created though. Please review HeadKandy tools!! I want to buy some but value your opinion. Thanks so much

Charlotte: If you like the fan, I think you would like the GHD Oracle ! Way easier to use (I have it). Is it sold elsewhere than Europe ? No one seems to talk about it on YouTube except european youtubers.

Ceil B: Great review, thanks!

Afghan Proudgirl: Can you straighten with it too. Since it does claim to do both

Nat: Love it!!!!

Wendy: Your hair has grown do much WoW love this review thank you

e2elexisplays: would this still heat damage your hair?

Amanda Corona: Would you say this is maybe better for your hair? Maybe because the air cools it down while it curls you can use a lower heat setting...?

susan sharpe: L'ange duo is the same idea and less expensive with more heat settings.

Rubob’s cube: Do you have a tool that holds curl that doesn’t fall out after and entire day and sleeping?

Alyson Swerdloff: Can you compare this product with the lange cooling tool

Paola Rodriguez: Love love this curler

Sighhh: I like the side you used the fan a lot better.

Rebeca S: I really like the idea of tools with cool heat... I mean its the XXI century!

Wendy: Please do a video on different hair extensions Malibu !!

Shannon Cole: Can you do a updated curling video with your long hair now????

wvfishngirl: Holding it upright makes ot easier and the hair doesn't fall out between plates.

The Merz: Thanks for share! I would be tempted by this.

Queen Mel: I think that’s a big thing w conair .. I always choose my conair straightener over my 200$ straightener .. but the curlers and other stylers they don’t have a lock & I have to constantly fix my heat settings.

dragonfly: Is this to dry hair too?

Laura Jaine: I just bought this but I think it's babyliss, from boots n the UK, I've had a quick try but this video will help

Lucy Chester: You usually look good whatever you do love ya lucy uk

Yo soy Maricela: Is it comparable with your Dyson curler??

Katy Brooke: I have long, thick hair.. wonder if it would work on my hair? lol probably would take 3 days ‍♀️
