This is a 2021 Hair Trend that I am loving! I'm doing a color block today on Mini. We are lightening half of her fringe and a small section underneath on the opposite side. I'm excited to experiment with color blocks and this technique.

You'll notice today that I don't scalp bleach in between. As a stylist, I just really don't enjoy scalp bleaching and try to avoid it, so I wanted to see how it would work without it and I actually really loved it.

My technique is slicing, I'm covering all the hair in the sections and just using my board going up following the shape of Mini's head. The most fun part of this technique is you can experiment and try different things!

Let me know what you think of colour blocking in the comments below!

My name's minnie, you may remember me from previous blush girl videos. Today i got a color block and it's hot also commonly known as a funky chunk, so get in my trunk and get the blush. Obviously we already talked about it. I just want to confirm what we're doing so, we're doing some color blocking today um. So i'm thinking half your fringe and then a little bit of that as well. You can just do that or we can do that and we can do like a little sneaky bit here, yeah as well, which i think will be kind of cool sneak it up. Should we do the sneaky bit too okay, so blonde and blonde here, keeping pretty much natural but i'll, probably just put a bit of a gloss over it, hey guys um, so i'm just sharing a little color blocking here. I'M not sure if this trend is coming through um for you. It'S definitely really strong um over here in adelaide in south australia and um. I really love it and i'm excited to experiment with it, because i just find it's different kind of work. It'S a bit fun and yeah just excited about it. So that's why i'm doing mini today just to have a little practice, basically and just experiment with different ways of doing it. Um you will notice today. I think i talk about it later that i don't. I don't scout bleach in between um, so scout bleach is something that as a stylist, i just really don't enjoy, and so i try and avoid it at all costs, and i just wanted to see how it would feel without it. So you'll see the result at the end. I actually really love it um and yeah. I guess it's just different. If it was um scout leach would be a lot cooler, it'd be maybe cleaner. I guess um so yeah anyway. Just thought i'd share that uh. I guess it would be good if you had someone who was a little bit sensitive and didn't want to have the um bleach on their scalp or someone um. You know who maybe has fragile hair or something like that. It'S just good to know that you can do it without it, so i'm just sharing that today. What i'm doing here is i'm just slicing back to back, and basically i just move with minnie's hair so wherever i need to position the board so that i'm getting as close as possible to a scalp is what i'm doing. I obviously just pivot around to the front a little bit and now i'm gon na go straight up. Um reason being like you know: you've got the curve of the head. So if i go back, i'm going to get drag on each side, so i just go up this way um and that worked that works really well. Um, minnie's, hair, pretty much virgin hair did lighten really warm um, so yeah, maybe maybe second time round i'll. Try and clean it out a little bit more. Let me know if you've got any questions, love to hear what you think about color blocking. So here i am on the little side bit so um. I i really like the color block with the little sneaky bit on the side. It just kind of balances it out a little bit. Obviously um the most fun thing about this technique is, you can you know just have a play with it and try different things and do whatever do whatever you like really so, i'm just doing a little panel through here just on a nice diagonal and um that Just kind of peeks out when minnie just tucks her hair behind her ear kind of thing, so it's really cool. So hey guys, i'm just here with minnie we have our color blocking here. I thought i'd share my color block technique, so um here we go here. Just got it all in on mini, so what i'm doing is um. I don't know what you guys think about this, but i really don't like uh scout bleaching, so i always do everything in the foil. So that's what i've done just back to back, foils um and i haven't gone and scout bleached in between i've done it a few times and i'm really happy with the result. So far, so i think there's a time and place where you really need to but yeah. Hopefully this works out well today without the scalp bleach in between um. So i've got back to back foils, i'm using 20 lol because minnie's hair is natural and um. I really want to get it as like and clean as i possibly can, because it's a smaller section, i felt confident to do the 20.. I'M just doing the heavy beat like in the fringe and on the side and then just complementing that with like a little bit on that side, so should be good and then just a nice semi in between so um so yeah. What do you guys think? Are you into the color blocking? I love it? Yes, so this gives you really good visual of how it turned out without the scout bleach. So you can see i've just got like a mill of um natural hair still there and what i do is i use a level six o with my semi and i just blur that out slightly just to soften the line, um yeah and you'll see at the End, it worked really well um and then i just worked with the warmth that came through and i toned with a 971 which is really pretty, and then i actually just topped it up with the a evo fabulous, so the caramel, color and um. I definitely would recommend my client to use that at home just for topping up her color block, so yeah yeah. So here we go. You can see how she just has a little bit of a smudged root on the blonde area. Um the semi color actually works. Really nicely with the blonde so yeah. Overall, i'm really happy with the result. How fun is minnie she's, the best all right, guys, bye, so foreign

Isa's Tossled Hair: great color placement! love the end result with the softer root, thats what I would have done for that seamless growout. amazing! xo
