With the help of Brad Mondo's guide and the internet, I successfully got to an ash blonde. My hair is not new to bleaching but this is the first I did it myself. By the way, I am no hair stylist or salon professional lol. Watch the whole video on how I got there and how many times I had to bleach my hair. Lastly, if your hair turned gray because of a toner, I got a solution! Don't miss it!

This is crazy, hey guys, this is sweetie. The try trick, welcome or welcome back and today, i'm about to do the unthinkable, probably the craziest thing i've done in my life or probably not quite. This will be the first time i'll be bleaching, my own hair and, although it's my first time, bleaching, my own hair, i have bleached my hair in the past, probably four times in my whole lifetime, but they were done by a professional. But you know when you go to a professional, they cost a lot of money. Usually if i have my hair bleached and then have a color on there, they cost around 300 400 here in california and yeah. I think i'm done doing that and i actually want to try doing this on my own. I'Ve seen enough youtube videos and i think i could do it like i'm pretty confident that i could do this so yeah with that said, i actually did my research, i'm not just doing this just cuz and just out of the blue. I have my notes here from brad mundo's video, so i did watch his um guidelines, video on how to bleach your hair and i've done some online research as well. On top of that, so i think i know what i'm doing but yeah um. This is the before hair, so i have some balayage, but that's from like two years ago, pre-cover days and i haven't had time to dye my hair since i wanted to do this last year. But that was a time when every single person on earth was dyeing their hair and i just couldn't get my hands on the bleach or any hair dye. I finally had my hands on the bleach and the hair color that i want, which will be purple. So you guys stay tuned, so this video will just be the bleach process and i will probably put that in separately, because this video will be too long and yeah. Let'S freaking, do this guys a little too soon 95 at nine moon is so well. This is all incubating and developing all together at once, i'm gon na go eat. I already set a timer, i just rinsed out my hair and i officially look like mary jane from spiderman. There are parts of it where it's completely light like this is very light and this particular strand is very light, but definitely the top is very orange and it's almost like it's like brown, but i'm not worried because i've seen this before and you could definitely do One more type of bleach if your hair could take it so now we're gon na just continue on with the other side. Now that this side is all done, i'm also doing the bag method just like earlier, and i also forgot to mention that i sprinkle some water in there, so it will keep it moisturized, while it's incubating so yeah now, we'll just have to wait until this whole Section is processed, so here is my hair washed and fully bleached. Okay, let me show you guys how it looks like in the back. I actually have never seen the back, so you guys are first, hopefully it's okay, but um. I think it's not that bad like overall, what i did on this side is almost similar to this side, but maybe i think this might be a little darker. I don't know if it's just me, but definitely it's not quite there yet to tone, because if we tone this now we're not gon na get any results because it's not lifted enough. So definitely we need to bleach the whole thing over again. Hopefully we could get everything to this color, but yeah. I think the reason why the bottom part is more blonde or it lifted better than the top is because you know it's been processing longer than the top. I would say the top processed around 50 minutes to an hour, but definitely no longer than that. I want to put it longer because i just want a super blonde, but also the fear of hair falling out is also there and i'd rather not have my hair falling out than have it super blonde. So tomorrow will be a new day. I had a long day today doing this, so this is where i'm gon na stop and yeah to be continued tomorrow with part two of bleaching. I thought it was. It was easy now i'm lost, remember us together. Okay, i just rinsed it out and i got so excited when i saw in the mirror. I am officially blonde all the brassiness is gone. I can't believe it i mean there's like a hint of it, but this is definitely a blonde now and surprisingly, they're still strong and they're. Still there no fallout when i washed it off and also kudos to my eyeliner. I washed this part of my face as well, but it's still there, nice and pointy still but anyways, oh my god, okay, whatever i did on this side, i'm definitely replicating on this side. So yeah, let's work on this side now you know all right is start going up. It'S getting pricey telling what it might be. I just came back from rinsing my other side and i'm pretty happy with how it looks like it's pretty similar to the other side. This one has some slight brassiness left, but yeah same with this one i mean for the most part, it is blonde. Now now i'm gon na mix more bleach and start with these two is, i just washed my whole head or my whole hair. Okay, let me show you guys the back. I actually haven't seen it myself, but hopefully it's okay. So that's the back part. I don't know if it's a mess or what but i'll, review this video and see how well i did or how bad i did, but um yeah. So far, i'm pretty happy with this second bleach. You know how i was putting them in tinfoil earlier and putting them up here. Stacking them up, some of them leaked, and this is what happened. That'S okay! I'M i'm still gon na bleach. That part anyway, because you know it's just like it's still brassy but um yeah - this is pretty much ready to tone for the most part, i'm so excited. Okay, all right guys see you guys tomorrow, all right guys day three roots and a little touch up on the bottom today. So i just sectioned my hair. Okay, let's get this than started days. You'Ll never see the sky if you keep looking down and if you take the wrong way, and maybe you should stay instead of turning around, i know, don't stay looking out the window, don't stay looking out the window, there's so many reasons you should care the sun When you're stuck in a dream, don't stay looking out the window, so this is my hair after it's dry, it's actually not bad. I guess i don't need to bleach it the third time it's pretty nice and bright and very light now. So this is definitely ready for toning, so this is how it looks like all around anyways. Let'S go to tony baby, i'm outside, but thinking about you all night, but thinking it ain't right. If you and me only see us in i'm outside, they say that product works better. If i dampen my hair, so i went to go put some water from the faucet, just real, quick and just make it like just a little wet, but not too much. So now we are ready, like winter waiting, only see us in our dreams, i'm outside another end of the night. Here i am by his side again. Do you cause want me? You baby, hey guys, it's me and it's been a week later and i just want to show you guys my hair in sunlight. So far it is still blonde, and that is because i use purple shampoo to keep it blonde and also it's pretty relatively healthy. It'S also not dead, looking and fried, which i'm very surprised about, but in case you're wondering if i did anything else. Besides what you saw in the video i did put on some hair mask after each session of bleach. So after the first session of bleach, i put on a mask and then the second session of bleach. I also put on another mask and i think that kept my hair from getting really frizzy and fried looking. So my hair looks pretty good surprisingly, but um yeah guys. If you have any questions at all, please do put them in the comments below and i will answer them in the best of my knowledge and yeah guys. I just want to keep this short and sweet. I just want to update you guys how i look like now and also it's been a week right and my roots are already growing. There'S like a little hint of black. That'S okay, that's just normal, but for the most part i am so blonde. So i'm happy and i'm really happy of how it came out in general for someone who freaking doesn't know what they were doing. This is pretty damn good, anyways um, really big thanks to brad mondo, his tips really helped and yeah guys. If you truly enjoyed this video make sure you like and subscribe, i would truly appreciate that. Thank you so much for watching and i'll see you in the next one bye

M. Maluchev: What in the Guy Tang — your hair looks absolutely gorgeous!! Elsa hair

Conus: God, girl, it was so refreshing and satisfying to see that you know what you're doing, and also doing it carefully and with precision. The effect is gorgeous!

D J: These results are amazing. Honestly I feel like I would have done this exactly as you did and hadn’t found a video that broken it down like this and taking it section by section! Oh man you have unleashed the beast!!!

Carina Aguilar: As a cosmetologist I am EXTREMELY impressed good job also I didn’t know the lemon & conditioner trick lol

Tiffany Christiansen: Oh my goodness girl your hair turned out absolutely beautiful! For your first time doing this at home you did an amazing job! I honestly love the grey tone it had to it too and plan to try that on my next hair dyeing adventure.

rabbitruler44: I’m really glad you said that you can bleach your hair twice if your hair can take it and just did it again the next day. I also have Asian hair and usually bleach pretty close together which would probably seem alarming to most but I think many hair rules of thumb don’t consider how tough asian hair is. After a first round of bleaching my hair doesn’t feel much different than my virgin hair ‍♀️

NightskySunshine: This was really well done and just the information I was looking for. Perfect! Thanks!

Kat's Hooks & Brushes: I color my own hair sometimes but I haven’t tried bleaching yet, it scares me a little that I might burn all my hair. Yours turn out great. You did a great job! ❤️ You look awesome!

MHAYDEE: I’m so amazed at how it turned out and your patience aswell. I would like to do it at home aswell, so I’m going to try and gather some information from you and from Brad, hehe! Thank you for sharing your journey! ❤️

NY B: Looks great! Yes my hairdresser LOVES toner and leaves it on me way too long if I don’t remind him. I came home and did the lemon and conditioner trick and my blonde highlights came through! Great job!!!

Aubrey Beardsley: This is amazing! It turned out wonderful. I will not be bleaching my hair at home anytime soon, but I love watching other people do it!

Liis On Life: You did such an amazing job! You look great with every hair colour. I agree with you on the grey - it looked so cool that tone. Love that so many people have been playing around with styles and colours at home during Covid!

Sonya Maya: This turned out great! I wouldn’t trust myself haha I always go to the salon. But have a lot of respect for anyone who does this at home !

torn_masterpiece: I hope Brad Mondo sees this, you did fantastic and your hair came out amazing!

Lost Girl: Ok you’ve convinced me to go bleach my hair tomorrow ☺️ love this video!

goldiebeckyj💛: Wow you did brilliantly You did it in stages and even managed to use foils with all that hair!! Well done, it looks fab Going to watch the purple one next Xx

theduchess30: This video was really thorough and informative! Amazingly well done! You look so good!!!

Star War: You saved your hair from that gray! The blonde came out amazing! Great job!

Sunshine & Horror: Hands down the best bleach job I’ve seen! WELL DONE!

Kerri Christian: I’m so impressed! You did a great job!

Sailing Novaturient: Wow! Nice job! It looks sooooo good! You have me leaning more towards doing this myself.

Hugh.Munguzs: Came out very natural looking. Great job!

DruidsCalling: Very helpful guide. My goal is silver hair. You look great and love seeing you smile and feeling accomplished

Sophia Amaly: I am so impressed with your work. You took your time and it looks amazing. Beautiful job!

Karla Finch-Cluff: Great Job on your hair! I loved how ashy it turned after the Lemon+Conditioner treatment, I've heard the horror stories of Wella toners turning hair grey but it did look pretty good. The ash after looked even better! It's awesome when our husbands help us with our hair too!

Lizzie in Lace: It turned out so good!! Love it! But honestly, both look great on you.

Jenn: You did an amazing job! I just bleached my hair and will be toning it also with T14 & 050! I can't wait for it to be done.

Silkcatgirl: Wow you did a fantastic job it looks beautiful, well done

A.V: I have natural hair that grew out from being blonde and I agree CA stylists charge WAY too much and I noticed 99.9% do not accept cc's or checks they don't pay taxes and do cash only. That's sooooo illegal. I'm doing my hair like you on Wednesday, thanks for the video!

Jessica Seomoon: Wow such a long process but looks great! ❤️

Ruff: when i saw this vid is 21 min long, i thought "i dont have time for this lets just skip to the final 5 min to see the result!". ended up, i watch this from beginning to the end! it is really satisfying to see the whole process, & the transformation slowly revealed! u look really gorgeous too!

Eddie Holloway 1: I shown my partner this she has the same colour hair as you started and she’s going to follow this tutorial but she will do a floor remover first as she has a box dye on at the moment hopefully it turns out good this is one of the most professional videos I’ve seen on bleaching at home well done turned out great :)

My growth project: Maybe the acidity from the limes helped with the open pores your hair strands can experience after bleaching! I discovered that using vinegar in my shampoo helped with my porous hair. Great results!! The blonde looks great!!

Angelou Wazowski: Love how supportive your husband is!

Kathryn Quasebarth: I'm so glad to see this process. My hair is naturally dark brown and I'm wanting a change. You lowered my fears in the what if I do this or that is it brings help or repair Thank you!!!

pancake ghosty: Gosh I remember as a teenager bleaching my hair 2 or 3 times in one day to try and get the blonde I wanted. I also remember tying my hair up in a ponytail and randomly cutting into my hair with a craft scissors to get that "choppy" look

parrots & pooches: your hair looks amazing. Brad Mondo seems to have a vendetta against Wella toners though, lol. he recommends demi permanent hair dye for toners. i am going to attempt to bleach my dark brown hair and can't say i'll 100% follow his advice either but you never know what will happen until you experiment so good for you. <3

Monica Carr: Looks amazing! I havent seen anyone on here say it, but I always bleach from top to bottom because the bottom processes faster than the top. I just bleached my entire head for the first time and this really helped me get it more even.

Jess: How many bleach sessions did you do, how long in between each session and what type of mask did you use after? Thanks! :)

Sarah Don: Loved the lemon juice with conditioner I have my roots done every 3 weeks to keep my white hair . You did such a great job it really suits you. Well done ❤️

Nicole Elise: Thank you for the step by step process I feel more confident going into this

Michelle Sit: You deserve a medal for this marathon process of bleaching your own hair. I have like 2 inches of hair and its already tiring lol

Em's DIY: Wow you did a great job it looks very beautiful

Lalique: Instant like and new subbie. Thank you so much for the details and info all in one place!!

Asma B: When i did my hair i did the second bleach after one week to make sure my hair doesnt get fried and seriously it turned out good

Charlotte Thompson: Looks amazing x

Tiffany Michael: If your roots are growing and you like that Rudy look but you want it to look more polished you can add in a shadow root which is two shades lighter than your root color. it will help it look better as it grows in & Give you more time before your next bleaching session

judymarais12345: Wow, just wow. Looks gorgeous

nirvana NailsbyRaya: Wow I have never bleached my hair before and I’ve been watching videos for the last two weeks.. I have been so scared to do it. Now that I’ve seen how you hv done it I’m not to worried. Knowing I can do half and half made me feel better about time..and the darkness of my hair.. ty I love the turn out

arr xx: Is it safe to bleach my hair two days in a row? You are absolutely stunning, loved the video ❤

Ash : You did so good! I will be using your video as a reference when I decide to die my own hair!

Rochelle C.: As you were putting the bleach on towards the roots your cheeks glow from the hair being lighter giving it a youthful glow highlight. I miss having blonde hair. Makes me look younger. Great job by the way. You're video is tempting me to bleach again.

Hibz: You did a pretty damn good job

Michelle Molina: You did a great job!!!

Nicola Jones: It looks amazing it really suits you brilliant job well donexx

JuicyJuice1313: What is wella 050 additive for? Thank you :)

Skye koppy: bought all the products you’ve recommended in ur description and watching this while dying my hair

Kimberly Browder: Just what I was looking for! Did you figure out the toning process because that gray happened fast! Without having to do that step and then lemon process too! I'm still scared, basically gray on top if I don't go to salon. But I'm a IDIOT, last time dyed BLACK/BROWN. Hate it. Didn't take on top!

Julieta: thank you for sharing! i have been watching bleaching at home videos and this one was the most informative by far! if i do end up bleaching my hair i'll definitely use this video as a guide

Rosalin Carranza: thank you for posting !!! love your editing, attitude at something so intimidating adn results !!!

Samantha Brannon: Omg I love that he just helped you like that with the mirror

Catch 22: Thanks for doing all the research for us☺☺

Tiffany Michael: The reason it turn gray as you put too much of the 50 cooling Violet, it’s very strong you only need a one or two capsules per 3 ounces of product

Himani Upadhyay: Brilliant result! Had me giggling each time at 6 quadrants! :D
