So hi guys and welcome back to my channel, my name is v for today's video. We are gon na be doing my hair. I don't know why i'm even doing this video. So, unlike this channel but um, everybody wanted to know how i get my hair done and why i always change it. So, apparently, in every video, my hair is different, so um, i just thought you guys might want to come on a journey. This is my real hair that normally has it like up. So when you guys always see me in the summer with my hair up in a bun - and i normally do like this - it's this hair, which is my hair. Then, when you see me with like golden brown hair, that's my wigs and i wear those because of protective styling. It'S just easier to leave it in wigs and a lot of black women do this and we call it protective styling. So if you're not aware of that, you can just google it and then just like find out more it's just a little puffy and cute and like a little just a little, i love it. I love my real hair and also people think that i don't like my hair, because i always have it in different styles, not the case. I love my hair. I just love having the power to like play with it and do different things anyway. I am going to get my hair done today, so you can watch and actually see what happens. So i'm going to go from like having short black hair and then a few hours i'm going to have a long golden locks that are just like up to my bum. I think that's what we're doing so. I wanted to show you what she will be putting in this is what we call expression, braids they're, not very expensive at all. People always think that when i change my hair so often it must cost hundreds and hundreds. It is kind of true actually because when you buy a wig, a wig costs at least 300 pounds right, but you buy it one time and it lasts you like five years, so yes, but no so i'd have paid 300 for the week. For the first time. I get it and then, after that i have it for a very long time and with these these cost like two pounds a packet right, but it costs you could say a lot to get it done, so the person who's doing the hair you're paying for their Time because it takes quite a long time, but the actual hair doesn't got four packets in here and the hairdresser will cut it and then put it into my hair and i've chosen to go for this shade and yeah. That is, that is it that's called braids and black women have been having braids for many many years and it's all a part of protecting our hair, we'll just get straight into it, enjoy okay, guys. So nash is here and she's, currently just prepping the hair. If you may pre-stretching it's how you call it she's pretty stretching it and obviously it's going to transform your girl like we're about to get all cute and whatever for france and i'm really excited and if you guys are in the west midlands area, birmingham area anywhere Around here and you're looking for someone to do your hair, then her channels and her links and everything will be down below and i'm very very excited do so guys the process has begun and, as you can see, this is this is what we're going to be Doing um you just i don't know what to call it. You just get braided and i'm going to try and film as much as i can, but there's really. This is going to be very repetitive process and she's, going to take all the way down, and so guys we're about almost about an hour in it's not quite yet, but almost and we're going going is going um. I am currently just chilling doing some emails and things on here and i'm going to start doing readings for my politics of education class, the hair's going real good, like. I can't believe how long it's gon na be i'm very excited and can't wait to show you guys the full review. Um yeah. Are your hands getting tired, yet no i'm used to it. I can imagine i can imagine you're so neat as well like. Thank you. You'Re welcome yes! Well, my mom is bringing me some pasta lunch time. Thank you! Mom, okay, everyone. I'Ve had some lunch, it's very good and now we're gon na go back to braiding and studying, studying and reading and breathing and studying, and let the games begin. So, hey guys, we are now towards the front of the head, which is very exciting and i actually have a class now and i don't look great it's so hot outside and you know life um. So in a class i'm just gon na keep watching the class and keep having my hair done very exciting times so i'll check with you guys soon guys i'm finished, i'm finished, i'm finished. I also want to do a full review later. We still need to curl the ends, but like golden goddess i'll show you guys later when i got my makeup and i'm looking better and stuff like that, you know what i'm saying so i'll see you soon. There'S my sister. She just came from her first day of school, and now she thinks guys me and me - are gon na drop a video soon right, that's it! I normally look bad on this. Don'T watch goodbye

It is important for people to understand and appreciate that Black individuals are just as proud of their hair as anyone else and that, we too, have different styles and techniques we use to keep it in good condition so all this nonsense about: Black natural hair is not professional needs to STOP! We are not people who just run around not looking after our hair!!! We have different textures, different lengths, different styles and different ways we choose to wear it - just like everyone else - and it takes us A LOT LONGER to take care of our hair so please don’t call us unprofessional because we take the time to do it right! I have natural curly hair that I don’t have to put any product into at all but my youngest has hair more akin to your own and she wears it in natural braids that take 3 hours to do, but sometimes she just wants to wear her natural hair and - it still takes hours to wash, condition, deep condition, untangle and brush through and style so when she goes out - you better believe we have worked that hair well! Having other women show how they manage their beautiful Black hair would be lovely to see.
