Hi guys welcome back to my channel so in this video I wanted to come and quickly show you guys how I like to preserve my straight natural hair. When I go to the gym, I am headed to the gym now and I was like. Let me go ahead and film this video, because I know when I was looking for videos on how to preserve natural hair, while working out it wasn't really much to find, and even once I did find, I tried those mythic styling and did not work for me. This is the only way that I have found that actually works for me, so I figured maybe have helped to some of you guys as well. So as I say, obviously my hair is straight. I am someone who sweats in my scalp, so my roots will puff up just a bit but they're already starting to do that because that's like one of the first places I start sweating and if less it will give your ends a wave. But it should still be pretty straight texture wise. So all I like to do is twist my hair and I do this pretty tightly it's gon na twist. It all the way down to the ends. Yeah, I'm gon na do a bantu knot and, as you can see, I did split my hair in half, so I do two dancing lights and you want to make sure you're tucking the ends and your little band to nut, and I wrap the ponytail holder around Pretty tight as well, I do it about three times, and these are like little like medium size, 22 holders, so there's one and I'm just gon na do the same thing to this side. Now. A key here is to let your hair dry in these fancy nuts kind of like with my preservation routine, for it on my washing goes. I let it stay in the pineapple all night until my roots is right. Before I take it down, I am going to be sleeping with these fancy nut scenes and, like I said it does give my hair a wave, something like this nice, like almost like beach waves, it's gon na have, but at this point I'm normally like I stick With my hair and made two nights some nights anyway, because I have an oily scalp so once my natural oils start peeking through in my root area, I'll start doing my hair like this, so it won't get even more oily and get like super way down and Play if I'm trying to make my straight hair legs now, I'm gon na take my little sweatband. I got this from Walmart. It'S not a brand dry, sweat I'll, try to find a link to it, but I'm just gon na take my sweat bin and put it around my edges and that's it. They don't go workout just like this. I'M actually probably going to put my visor on today, but yeah pretty much it like. I said if you're like me and you sweat in your scalp, you want to let this dry before you take it down, because if you don't mean it probably start freezing up, but I'm gon na go work out and then once I come back, I'm gon na Leave the bantu knots in and sleep with them in overnight, so they can dry and tomorrow, when I take them down, I will come back and show you guys when my hair is looking white, so you can see you know how it held up: okay, y'all! It'S the next day, I'm just going to recap what I did last night when I got back from the gym. So when I came home I took off my hat and my sweat van and I immediately tie my hair up with my hair scarf. So that's all! I did last night it's in my hair, so now I'm just going to take this down and I can say all right now that my edge is da poof up, but that's what they do. Nothing that a little edge control won't help. As you can see, it's a bit wavy now, I'm just gon na take the ponytail holders off and, like I said my roots, will most likely have pooped up a bit. I know back here where the party is in the back right back here. It definitely pulls up some cuz. Yesterday I have to I'd, eat legs, so one of the machines I said on, I had to like lean my head up against it, but I made my sweat just marinate all in my root area back there. So now I'm just unrolling it like. I said it's going to give your hair a wave as you can see, and I'm just going to comb through it, and I, like I said the roots will puff up a bit. But as you can see, it's not horrible. That'S just you know the price you have to pay. If you want to still work out while you're here is straight it I can't just not go to the souk with my hair straight. What kind of excuse is that, but I like the wave that it gives so I don't mind and then with the waves, your roots are like even less noticeable. So here's what looking like as you can see. Besides the waves, my ears are still straight and in poof up, so, if you don't mind the wave, I was just wearing your hair like this to the gym. If you want to preserve it I'll show you guys the back, so you have to see with these. At won't or look alike, that is all I hope this video was helpful to some of you guys as usual. Randi Alade: I sweat in my scalp I put my hair in a ponytail. The key is to let your hair dry in either the ponytail or Bantu Knots. Also after my workout I replace the sweaty band with a new headband that’s tight don’t take it off till my head is dry.

Nita Randall: I do this exact style with my hair when straightening it. I prefer the shave look so the puffy roots don’t matter. Only thing is I workout in the morning so my roots don’t have overnight to completely dry, but I don’t mind. My hair is about the same length as yours. Love this style.
